Beautiful home in private setting yet only15 min to town & 10 min to lake

This upscale vacation rental is located on a private 3 acre lot 15min from Durango on a paved road. It is the ideal retreat to return to after a day of site seeing with family and friends.

This beautifully landscaped home has a large, fully fenced, pet friendly yard. The house will sleep 8 people. We offer free WiFi. There are 3 bedrooms each with their own bath plus a queen fold out sleeper sofa in the family room. The entire upper floor is a master suite with a private balcony over looking the yard.

Lake Nighthorse is 10 min away and will open Apr 1st with swimming, boating and fishing. Canoe and kayak available at the lake.

Peaceful setting, so relaxing having coffee/cocktails on the porch. We had a daily visit from a sweet cat, too. Home was clean, beds comfortable, and had plenty of kitchen necessities. Thanks for sharing your home, Rick.

Great stay, especially with dogs

We really enjoyed this house. The fenced yard was amazing for our dogs and the home was spacious and comfortable. We also enjoyed the big patio and loved the semi-secluded location.

Beautiful stay with nearby lake

This is the most beautiful property we have stayed at in Durango. The house is open and airy, with a beautiful deck and kitchen. The house is situated at the end of a quiet street, where the only noises we heard were birds chirping. Our teens loved the downstairs den with the comfy couches and TV for downtime. Rick was the perfect host; very responsive and sent detailed information about the property in advance of our stay. We loved the proximity to Lake Nighthorse and downtown Durango, too.

Beautiful, spacious home with a lovely outdoor space. It's great for small family gatherings. It even comes with an outdoor cat. (I would have loved to take him home!) It's a bit of a drive to town (15 minutes), but we liked being in the peaceful atmosphere. Our only negative was the upstairs master suite was overly warm for us and too many windows to the east so early morning light was a problem as we had to leave the windows open. Durango had higher than normal temps and the AC didn't reach to the upstairs. As long as temps are normal, it wouldn't be a problem. We would definitely stay again during cooler times!

Amazing Stay

Beautiful property and amazing location. We had a family vacation for my son's college graduation and this property was spectacular. Beautiful kitchen, amazing deck, lots of space, beautiful views. Will definitely be back.

Great Family home!

I will start with the fence for the dogs since it is rare to find fenced properties in the area. It met the requirements to keep my elder dogs inside the massive yard they have. Other details include the massive space you get with the house inside. This was definatley a great spot to stay away from the city but close enough to be able to order food delivery.

Great Place-Very Quite

We had a great time in the house. The fireplace was great for sitting and catching up with the family. The kitchen has everything you need and then some. We were able to make great meals in the big kitchen. The yard was nice and the wild turkeys very entertaining in the morning. Would stay again.

Durango, CO getaway

Beautiful home as advertised. Home is very spacious and of course the hottub is a plus. There is everything you need if you just want to chill out at the hose for days. The only advise/suggestion I would give the owner of the home is to make sure that the fllors are always swept after every visitor departs and that here are tv(s) in the bedrooms. All in all we enjoyed our stay in this home. I would truly recommend anyone who is visiting Durango, CO and is looking at staying at a hotel to instead stay in this beautiful home.-Charles M.

Incredible stay in Durango!

This is one of the BEST properties we've ever stayed at! Absolutely perfect in every way. Rick is a fantastic host. The well stocked home is convenient to restaurants, but we have no idea why you would ever want to leave. Thank you ... we will be back.

Wildcat Canyon

A lovely setting, with a beautiful fenced yard and inviting porch to spend unwinding. The home is stocked well. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal and plenty of space to move around.

Durango adventure August 2023

The house was well designed with a very comfortable layout and well fit-out. The kitchen was stocked with high end appliances and utensils. We enjoyed being out of the city and enjoyed watching the deer and wild turkey in the yard below the deck. Rick's photography was throughout the house and it was fantastic. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Nice and Peaceful

The home was very clean! We stayed in main bedroom on first level. For us it was a bit cold. Our daughter and son in law stayed on second level master. The stairs ar steep going to upstairs master. They said the temperature was comfortable and used the small ceiling fan in the room. The home's layout allows for privacy. Kitchen was stocked with needed items. The available washer and dryer was a plus for us. Went through messaging to ask host about instructions for glass bottles and close out, but didn't get reply. I did not try to use the available number because of the time of day and did not want to disturb so late in day. Not sure if the messaging to host could be improved during a stay. This is a great option for a stay in Durango.

Wonderful Home outside Durango

We've stayed at many rental homes- this is one of them that we could imagine buying to live in one day. The home itself is artfully done. The property is gorgeous. Country living- but super close to Durango. Our family of 4 (two kids under 7) and another couple had plenty of room. The kitchen was spacious and great for entertaining. Hot tub was a treat. Owner was helpful and clearly knows how to make the experience easy. Will definitely stay here again!

Christmas Magic

We stayed two nights and had the most wonderful time! There were baby gates placed strategically that was so comforting with toddlers running around. The house was so beautiful, cozy, and clean! The photos dont do the house justice. We loved all of the windows to enjoy the snow and the owners made sure the walkways were cleared for our arrival. Also the upstairs master bedroom was huge- pleanty of room for our two kids to stay in there with us. The dowbstairs master was also bigger than we realized too and the third room had two beds perfect for our friends kids! Lots of space:) Would 100% stay here again!
