Surrounded by forest and mountain scenery, you'll enjoy the feeling of having your own private retreat while remaining just minutes from some of Virginia's best hiking, wineries, breweries, scenic drives, and outdoor adventures.


Spend your days fishing in the private catch-and-release pond, relaxing in the hot tub, exploring nearby trails, or simply enjoying the quiet beauty of the property. As the sun sets, gather around the fire pit, watch the colors fade over the pond and even see the sun set behind Massanutten Peak, and enjoy some of the area's best stargazing with the provided telescope. Fishing rods, camp chairs, and even hiking sticks are provided.


When you're ready to explore, the Swift Run Gap entrance to Skyline Drive is only about 10 minutes away. Elkton is approximately 15 minutes away, Massanutten Resort is about 20 minutes away, and downtown Harrisonburg is roughly 30 minutes away. You'll find countless hiking trails, restaurants, wineries, breweries, and local attractions within a short drive.


Inside, you'll find a modern, thoughtfully appointed home designed for comfort. The open-concept living area features comfortable seating, a Smart TV, fast Starlink internet, and plenty of space for families and groups to gather. The whole house generator prevents power outage worries if a mountain storm pops up. The garage also features a 50-amp EV charger (small additional fee) for guests traveling with electric vehicles. The fully equipped kitchen includes modern appliances and everything needed to prepare meals after a day of adventure, stocked with cooking essentials including oil, salt, pepper, and a selection of common spices. We provide laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, soap, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and even paper towels, toilet paper, and coffee pods to get you started.


The primary suite features a king bed, spacious ensuite bathroom, walk-in closet, separate shower, and soaking tub. Additional accommodations include a queen bedroom and a bunk room featuring a twin-over-full bunk bed with a twin trundle. The living room also includes a sleeper sofa, allowing the home to accommodate up to 10 guests.


The owner's home is located further into the large property and is not visible from the rental home, allowing guests to enjoy privacy while knowing assistance is available if needed. Please note - No pets. Due to local wildlife, neighboring livestock, and property considerations, pets are not permitted.
