The Captain’s House was originally built in 1850 right on the harbour along the old dike gebaut.Es. It is one of the oldest houses in the beautiful fishing village of Ditzum and has a long history. <br>Originally built as a captain’s house, it later served, among other things, as a marriage registry office.<br> In 2007, the house was completely renovated by the “Fährmann,” and we lived in this beautiful building for 16 years ❤️<br>In 2022, we gave it a fresh renovation, and it has been available for rent as a holiday home since May 2023.<br><br>The building is inviting with its spacious rooms and high ceilings on the middle floor. The fully equipped kitchen, featuring a microwave, induction cooktop, oven, dishwasher, toaster, large refrigerator, and coffee maker/kettle, offers everything you need to comfortably cook and dine with several people.<br>The spacious living room, complete with a fireplace (wood provided on-site), TV, couch, and dining area, is perfect for a cosy holiday. Starting in May 2024, the entire house will be equipped with fly screens on all windows!<br><br><br>The holiday home is located very centrally in Ditzum, right on the harbour, and features a beautiful fenced-in garden where dogs and/or children can feel right at home.<br>Every adult will find relaxation here, too!<br><br>The large terrace facing the dike, complete with a gas grill and patio furniture, is perfect for enjoyable barbecue evenings!<br><br>With 4 bedrooms spread across the upper floor and the basement, a group of friends or a larger family can enjoy their holiday with plenty of space to keep their distance within the house. We’ve also equipped the house with 2 cots and a changing table, so even our youngest guests have a place to sleep.<br>Our accommodation simply stands out thanks to its spaciousness and the open, airy staircase...<br>Upon request, up to 10 adults can stay in the house.<br><br>Dogs are very welcome here!<br><br>A lovely place to unwind or set out from here on great excursions by bike, on foot, or by car.<br>The Ems ferry is just 150 metres from the house and is a great way to explore Emden, Krummhörn, Norddeich, Aurich, or even the East Frisian Islands. The Netherlands is only 25 km away and offers fantastic destinations for all ages! You can go on wonderful bike tours and explore the beautiful Rheiderland.<br>The natural scenery here is truly breathtaking.<br><br><br><br>
