From the cottage you can walk to some of Punta Gorda's best local restaurants, browse the shops along Marion Avenue, or follow the brick sidewalks down to Fishermen's Village on the waterfront, all without ever getting in a car. On Saturday mornings the Farmers Market fills downtown with more than 70 vendors, live music, fresh seafood, and local goods. It's one of those mornings that reminds you why people fall in love with small Florida towns. For those who want to get out on the water, Charlotte Harbor puts world-class fishing right at your doorstep. Tarpon, cobia, grouper, red drum, and snook are all running these waters and local charter captains know exactly where to find them.
