About the host
Hosted by Gabrielle & Tom (Co-Hosts)
We love this stretch of the Delaware coast — the quiet, tree-lined streets of Angola by the Bay, evenings on the water, and the easy mix of small-town Lewes and lively Rehoboth just down the road. Hosting lets us share a spot we genuinely care about, and we try to make every stay feel easy from the moment you arrive.
Why they chose this property
We chose Angola by the Bay for the setting — a gated, all-ages community right on Herring Creek, off Rehoboth Bay. It's quiet and residential, not a party scene, with the kind of easy water access and neighborly feel that's hard to find close to the beach towns.
It's a slower pace — tree-lined streets, a community pool, crabbing docks, and wooded trails, all inside the gates. We especially enjoy the water side of it: kayaking out from the community launch, the occasional weekend cookout at the Doghouse snack stand, and how close it all sits to Lewes and Rehoboth without feeling like a beach town itself.
What makes this property unique
It's a genuine A-frame — vaulted living room, a bright sunroom for morning coffee, and a loft with a third queen bed for extra flexibility. Add in high-speed WiFi and a dedicated workspace, and it's just as good for a slow work-from-somewhere week as it is for a weekend with friends. Add in the setting — bayside, gated, walking distance to a pool and courts — and it's a quiet, well-equipped base for the Delaware beaches.
