I’ve been proud to call Georgia home for more than 40 years and currently live in Alpharetta, where I raised my family. My kids attended Johns Creek High School, and I’m a graduate of Kennesaw State University. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to build a career as a business owner, including owning and operating an auto repair shop for 10 years.

Last year, I decided to make a career change and became a real estate agent. While my career has taken me in different directions, one thing has always remained the same—my love for the North Georgia mountains and the time spent creating memories with family and friends.

That’s what inspired us to open Lazy Bear Hideaway in Blue Ridge. We created this cabin with families in mind, offering a place where everyone can slow down, have fun, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of the mountains.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me enjoying a baseball game, playing golf, or talking about cars. But some of my favorite moments have always been simple ones—getting away with family, enjoying the outdoors, and making memories that last.

One of the things our guests love most about Lazy Bear Hideaway is its incredible location. We’re just a 15-minute drive to downtown Ellijay and about 10 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge, giving you easy access to great restaurants, shopping, outdoor adventures, and local attractions while still feeling tucked away in the mountains.

The drive to the cabin is part of the experience. The mountain roads are moderately spirited and scenic, but the cabin is easy to find and conveniently located. Once you arrive, you’ll be rewarded with year-round mountain views that make every season special.

Whether you’re looking to spend the day fishing, exploring nearby hiking trails, visiting downtown Blue Ridge or Ellijay, or simply relaxing and taking in the views, Lazy Bear Hideaway puts you close to it all.
