We have a satellite and internet services for your enjoyment as well as a DVD player for any movies you wish to bring. FREE WIFI. There is a huge deck overlooking the lake with seating for 10 plus people and a barbecue for the outdoor cooking enthusiasts. There is fire pit for those of you seeking the full outdoor experience as well as plenty of indoor and outdoor games to choose from for that quality family time! If you choose to come in the winter remember that 49 degrees North Ski Resort is only 35-40 minutes drive or Mt. Spokane Ski resort is also fairly close. Silver wood Theme Park is approximately 40 minutes away also and beautiful Coeurd'alene, Idaho is about a 50-60 minute drive to the southeast. Canada is also within an hour or so drive to the North as well as many other locations within a reasonable distance of this property. Many vacationers enjoy Silver wood Theme Park which is a quick 45 minute drive to the Northwest's largest theme park.

About Ernie and Nicole Wilson

My husband and I live in Post Falls, Idaho and have been in this wonderful area for 14 years. We both grew up in Montana and love the mountains and lakes that flourish through the inland Northwest. We have 3 boys in which devote all of our free time for their sporting events. Our oldest attends North Idaho College in downtown CDA, Idaho and was an avid wrestler all through high school. He was a four time state placer with winning state his senior year at 160 pounds. Our other two boys wrestle and play baseball. Our 14 year old son broke his femur on Christmas Eve 2014 in a skiing accident and due to expenses beyond our control we are sharing this beautiful property with others this upcoming year and more to come as our time as well as extra funding is more limited. He then tore his ACL his freshman year and again trying to compete his sophomore year. He is healing now finally and is a junior in High School. We were blessed this year with our first grandaughter and we are so fortunate. We enjoy sharing our property with others who take care of it while here. We have many amazing memories here with many more planned in the future and invite you to experience this for yourself and your family and friends.

Ernie and Nicole Wilson purchased this house in 2011

Why Ernie and Nicole Wilson chose Newport

This property is special to us as it has given us many opportunities for family and friends to enjoy time here with us. The serenity is breathtaking and you will without a doubt create your own amazing memories. We purchased this home so that we would always have another home away from home and also so that we could enjoy the outdoors and make memories for generations to come. We plan to give our three boys this slice of heaven on Earth so that they may pass it along through the generations. We are excited to share this with other families!

What makes this house unique

What sold this home for us were the views from nearly all the rooms in the house are of the lake and the huge deck for entertaining. We are providing Kayaks, paddle boat, paddle board, for your enjoyment also for a small fee for those of you who love being out on the lake. Also, the traffic is next to none as we are at a dead end of the road.

Gorgeous Sacheen Lake Villa with Panoramic views of the lake right from deck!
average rating of 4.7 based on 10 reviews

Family really enjoyed the home on the lake. It was very relaxing could not ask for a better place.

  • 5 of 5

A-frame tri-level home to me was very spacious. The deck looked out towards the lake which was great for breakfast eating and drinking coffee. Fire pit next to the lake which was nice to sit and enjoy the fire. There was a dock so we could go and fish which we had a great time. I would recommend this place to anyone we will be coming back that is for sure.

  • 5 of 5

Our family loved this home! It is darling with all the space in the home set up with everything. The dock was perfect with the bench and plenty of patio furniture on the deck for all visiting and staying. The beds were comfortable as well. We would highly recommend this place to all travelers coming to the area!

Lovely dock and deck, great for family get togethers

  • 3 of 5

We had a really wonderful family get together at this A frame cabin. Perfect size for 6 adults and a dog, but would be crowded with many more people. Lots of stairs so everyone must be fairly mobile. The kitchen is roomy and good for preparing meals. The dishwasher had some kind of loud knocking but got the dishes clean. Outside dining on the large deck was great, (and necessary because there isn't a dining table inside), lovely sunset lake view. Beds are comfortable, even the living room sleeper sofa. Very fun to go kayaking and on the paddle board. Super weather which made our stay successful. Only down side is some traffic noise from Highway 211 in the upstairs loft bedroom. Overall a very good value.

Owner's Response: The dishwasher had some broken glass inside the dishwasher and has now been fixed and is no longer noisy. Highway 211 is on the road above the property quite a ways up and there is virtually no traffic at our home or any homes on the road for that matter. Over all it is quiet and peaceful. The home is a 3 bed 2 bath home around 1300 square feet all together. We are enlarging the laundry room and bathroom area in the near future as well.

Fun Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay on Lake Sacheen. The lake was beautiful and the house is in a great location. The house was a little smaller than I anticipated, but there is a lot of outdoor space and we spent most of our time outdoors anyway. I would echo the comments about the lower bathroom (my husband thinks it is missing a pea trap which is why it smells and is always damp), as well as the fork situation (I think there were five forks so we had to buy plastic cutlery). Otherwise, the kitchen is large and basically had everything we needed except a place to store food.

We spent our week there with my extended family, and the kids (as well as the adults) loved jumping off the dock, trying out the boats and floating on the lake. And the neighbors were super nice too. I already miss waking up to the lake in the backyard. The location of the fire pit was amazing, and if there had not been a federal fire ban, we would have been down there making smores every night. We would definitely rent again.

Also, this is a little thing, but it would be great if wifi were included in the price. There comes a time in your vacation where paying extra for daily wifi seems a little like nickle and diming.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review on our property! We somehow managed to have missing silverware throughout the course of this summer and have replaced them and also we had the downstairs shower looked into. They did not have the right set up and now all has been repaired. Thanks again for your stay and we look forward to possibly hearing from you again. Nicole Wilson
