For your memorable holiday in the hills, you will be vacationing in a 2 level portion of our house with: 2 bedrooms (Bedroom #1 is an open loft style bedroom -above your kitchen- and Bedroom #2 is a separate, private bedroom made available only for parties of 3-4 guests with extra charge of $100 per person per night over 2 people).
Open concept kitchen/ hang room with (island), large deck off kitchen(with bbq), screened in porch, sun deck, bathroom (shower and bath) and private entrance.
You'll be able to enjoy a stunning wooded/forest type property overlooking a beautiful ravine.
You will be surrounded by lush foliage, incredible morning birdsongs and a unique, architectural layout.
The kitchen is equipped with a full sized fridge to put your holiday food/drinks. We also supply: pots, pans, dishes, stovetop(Jenn-air), toaster oven, cutting boards, dish towels, dish soap and utensils.
In the morning you could wake up, grab your hot coffee/tea mug in hand and take a walk down... through the ravine...along a path through winding foliage and then relax upstairs on the sun deck and/or upstairs screened in porch and/or side kitchen deck ....ahhh.. what a way to wake up!
Fresh Air and delicious drinking water(well/tap) is just a holiday in the hills away...
A quiet setting perfect for adults looking for a peaceful get away with helpful hosts on site(we live in a separate downstairs condo type apartment and are available for friendly help when needed).
Our holiday retreat is nestled in the hills of rural Quebec just 35 min. outside Ottawa and only a 10 minute drive to the quaint village of Wakefield. There you'll find a great Saturday Farmer's Market, artisanal patisseries, gift shops, kayaking adventures on the Gatineau River and The Wakefield general store with Chamberlin's Lookout(a bistro overlooking the river). Wakefield is also home to The Black Sheep Inn, a popular music venue.
EDELWEISS GOLF AND MONT CASCADE GOLF are JUST MINUTES AWAY away. Other popular activities include: cycling, ECO ODYSSEY, zip lining at La Fleche Caverns & horse riding at Captiva Farm.
Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the beautiful landscapes, hay fields, horses, sheep, wild turkeys, cows and deer.
There is good dining in the village and an afternoon train track stroll through the village is a popular way to enjoy the stunning river view.
You must have your own vehicle. There is no public transportation. Free parking is available on the property.
Bathroom is handsomely equipped with extra towels, handtowels, soap and cloths(bring your own toiletries).
Wi-fi signals available with which you can use your own data plan are Bell & Telus & Digicom. (there is also wifi available in the village at the cafe across from Jamboree gift shop).

NO ATV'S OR MOTORBOATS ALLOWED.
Our property is a really unique one here in the hills! It has a very nice ravine in the back and a lot of really interesting, indigenous landscaping that Ken has cultivated and transplanted over years of living here. The pathways are a nice feature to stroll through with drink in hand! ahhhh..relaxing.

We are located close to the Belvedere and The village of Wakefield(aprox 7 min. drive to each) so if you are coming to the region for a friend's special day... this would be a great place to stay that's close(and a sweet deal compared to the big hotel in the village! Welcome! Bienvenue!)
