Our authentic log cabin was built in the early 1930's and has been newly restored. It is situated on nearly 300 peaceful acres along the Meramec River and has river frontage for you to enjoy. We have easy river access and a small gravel bar. Float trips by canoe or raft may be available by reservation for an additional fee. Bedroom #1 has a queen size bed, antique dresser, and a fireplace. The bunkroom has one full bed, one twin bed, and a set of bunk beds. The back porch dining hall seats 12 people and has plenty of room for games and activities (we have several to choose from or bring your own). There is a TV and VCR/DVD player (we have some movies too), but no cable or internet...PERFECT! The kitchen is stocked too! There is room to pitch a tent (or several for an additional fee)! Relax away from the stress in our quiet getaway and make many new memories. This place is the perfect place to get away from it all and 'rough it' while still enjoying the modern conveniences of home!

Peaceful and serene place to unplug
Enjoyed our stay.
My bestfriend and I needed a weekend away from life and this place was just what we needed! We enjoyed the rustic charm of the cabin and the absolute peace and quiet (except for the occasional mooing cow.) We watched old movies, slept in, did a little fishing in the river, spent an entire day antiquing in the little nearby towns and had a wonderful time together. No kids, no noise, no hustle and bustle. We are already making plans to return and bring more girlfriends with us next time!
well worth the visit!
Always a great place to get away and unplug!
Quaint and fun!
Great little cabin for a weekend getaway.
cosy and quaint with privacy and relaxing area
I loved this place, very private but close to Steeleville to get supplies. I loved your visit from the puppies. I have older eyes now and only wished for more light to do my reading and crafts. thank you so much for sharing your home with us, Jill Pagenkopf.
