Perfect location in the highly desired "tree streets" of North Laguna. Beautiful and spacious, well furnished 2 bedroom with hard wood floors, lots of natural light, and well manicured garden full of exotic plants that bloom year round. Available for monthly rental for only $3500 month, ($5000 June-Aug) . It really is a darling property surrounded by tropical flowers such as plumeria, hibiscus, lemons, palm trees, etc.. Out your window. Beautiful hardwood flooring, travertine kitchen floor, clean subway tile bathroom and all the luxuries of home: comfy sofa, tv/cable, internet, kitchen, clean white linens, etc.. Washer/dryer, bbq grill. North Laguna beaches are the next best thing to Hawaii and Italy with all the luxuries of Orange County. You get the laid back Hawaii feel in Laguna but are still just 10 min to the world's best shopping and restaurants! It's a very 'local' feel. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED :)

A Perfect Place to Relax

  • 5 of 5

What a great area to spend time relaxing! The location is ideal. Quite and private, yet close enough to walk down to the beaches, shops, local restaurants and the boardwalk. You can hear the ocean, and smell the wonderful plants that surround the cottage. Dan and his wife left us a welcome note, and Trader Joes snacks, upon arrival.

They were very helpful with recommendations for beaches, hikes and local restaurants to be sure to visit. I loved that we were able to walk to these areas very easily, because of the location of the cottage. The beds and couch were very comfortable, and the cottage was well stocked with basic amenities, including bathroom linens, toiletries and kitchen necessities for cooking. The set up is perfect for any variety of family combinations. A lovely place to stow away!

location great, just two blocks from beach, we were happy we chose north village cottages instead of being in town, just to hard to find a parking place there nice to have owners live in front house, so that if anything went wrong they were right there to fix it. Definitely see the area called "top of the world".

Crescent Bay Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This clean bright sunny quiet cottage was a perfect getaway for my adult daughters and me. We arrived from snowy Park City, Utah and were delighted with the smell of magnolias, an orange and lemon tree, and the sound and sight of the ocean. With two bedrooms and a sofa bed we had plenty of room. The kitchen was well equipped and the living/dining areas were open and bright. The beach was a five minute walk. Dan recommended restaurants, hikes and other beaches for surfing, shell searching and sunset watching. The location was close to the coast highway but in a quiet residential neighborhood. Beach chairs and toys, and Dan's help if needed, were all readily available to us. A perfect place to retreat.

We spent a month (mid-Jan.-mid-Feb.) at this property and loved it. It's not fancy but for a beach cottage, it's pretty perfect. We mentioned that more window blinds and another floor lamp would be nice and Dan quickly got them for us. We spent many happy hours walking on the beach--both Main beach, a 5-10 minute walk from here, and Crystal Cove, a 5-10 minute drive away. We hope to be able to go back again next January. Good times . . .

Great location great place

  • 4 of 5

I stayed at this place for almost 5 weeks and was very happy with my decision. The location is top notch being very close walking distinct to the beach and town. The unit itself is spacious bright and airy. The owners were easily accessible if I needed anything which came in handy when I locked myself out...twice. When I come back to Laguna I will definetly stay here again! Thanks for everything Dan!

Laguna Beach is a seaside resort city located in southern Orange County, California, United States, approximately 19 miles (31 km) southeast of the county seat of Santa Ana. Laguna Beach is known for its mild year-round climate, scenic beaches and coves, and artist community. Annual large events include the Pageant of the Masters, Festival of the Arts, Sawdust Festival, Art-A-Fair, and Kelpfest.

The natural landscape of beaches, rocky bluffs and craggy canyons have been noted as sources of inspiration for Plein air painters who have settled in the Laguna Beach since the early 1900s. The hills are also known internationally for mountain biking

Laguna Beach has a mild Mediterranean climate with abundant sunshine all year. The average daily high temperature ranges from 67°F in January to 79°F in August. Mean annual precipitation is relatively low at 13.56 inches. Water temperatures range from about 60 °F in February to 72 °F in August; however in early to mid September water temperatures often range from 73 °F to 75 °F

Laguna has a rich surf history. The Brooks Street Surfing Classic is the oldest continuing surf contest in the world. Begun in 1955, the competition is held only when peak swell conditions occur during a four-month-long window in the summer. Participation is open only to Laguna Beach residents.

Started in 1976, the 'Vic' Skimboarding World Championship is held at Aliso Beach in Laguna Beach, and is the longest running skim boarding contest on the pro circuit.

The U.S. Open for Lawnbowling is held annually, at the lawn bowling field at Heisler Park.

The Laguna Art Museum is rooted in the development of Laguna Beach as an art community with the creation of the Laguna Beach Art Association in 1918. Located beside the main beach, the museum focuses on the art of California. The Pageant of the Masters, founded in 1935, is held annually during the summer months. The unique show presents recreations of famous artworks using real people as models. Community organizations also host several long-running art festivals during the summer season.

The Festival of Arts, originated in the 1930s and showcases juried works by local artists. The Sawdust Art Festival was founded in 1965 as a counterculture alternative to the Festival of the Arts. It exhibits non-juried crafts and arts on a dedicated three-acre site. The Art-A-Fair began in 1966, built an exhibition site in 1977 and exhibits juried works of 125 artists from outside the area.

The Laguna Playhouse, founded in 1920, is noted as the 'oldest continuously running theatre on the west coast'. The playhouse provides professional stage productions in its 226-seat Moulton Theater, as well as performances by the Laguna Playhouse Youth Theatre program. The Irvine Bowl is a 2600-seat amphitheater used for the Pageant of the Masters program and for occasional concerts.

The Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational is held annually in October. Some of North America’s plein air landscape painters are invited to participate in the weeklong events including public paint outs, artist meet and greets, and educational activities.

The Laguna Beach Arts Commission sponsors a weekly Summer Concert in the Park series at Bluebird Park and Heisler Park. The Laguna Beach Chamber Music Society holds an annual chamber music festival during the winter season. An annual Kelpfest is held on Earth Day, to raise awareness of the importance that kelp plays in ocean habitat.
