About the property

Stand alone Cottage in downtown - sleeps three

This charming unit is located in the historic district and updated with all modern amenities: bright custom-tiled bathroom, queen size bed, full size sleeper sofa, TV, Wi-Fi, and tastefully appointed fabrics and finishes.

Perfect for weekend getaways, special events, families, or a friends weekend!

Close to: Sparrow Bakery for their famous Ocean Rolls; Boneyard Brewery for the best IPA in town; Jackson's Corner for their casual eating; McMennamins for their magical Turkish bath or whiskey bar or sofa filled movie theater; and Sarah's Raw and Vegan Cafe a few blocks away.

As a stand alone Cottage it has tons of cozy charm, is kept sparkling clean, and the kitchen has all the basic equipment, although limited perishables.

Please note that the price listed is the nightly rate and does not include the lodging tax or cleaning fee. Please inquire for the holiday rate.

I tend to not approve splitting up weekend nights, but if it's important, I'll charge the non-weekend night at the weekend rate.

Thank you!

About Kevin

I've always been an avid traveler, and now I love to share my home with others exploring Bend and Central Oregon I'm also a devoted Mom and spend time with my Father and his wife who just moved to San Francisco from Australia. I also love visiting my sister and her family in Brooklyn.

Kevin purchased this bungalow in 2012

Why Kevin chose Bend

You'll be surprised at how quiet and convenient and comfortable it is!

What makes this bungalow unique

Proximity to downtown as well as the Old Mill District, only 15 minutes walking to each, plus local breweries and restaurants, and just a wonderful comfortable feeling of home!

Easy to rent a bike from Hutch's on the Eastside if you want to be out of the car more.

Perfect little cottage

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed staying here. It's really close to everything. Small but perfect for two people. Has everything you need. The neighborhood is very quiet. We would definitely rent again.

Excellent value

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed in this property in September 2016 for our first ever trip to Bend. It proved to be just the right place for us. Close enough for daily walks thru old Bend and all the restaurants and breweries it had to offer. It is especially close to our favorite beer place, Boneyard. We could not believe how peaceful and quiet this place was even though it is located close to the highway. We enjoyed morning tea and coffee in the bricked backyard. We did not utilize the kitchen but it appeared to be well appointed. The management communicated well with us during and after our trip preparations. Don't let the unassuming appearance fool you-this is a surprisingly comfortable place to stay.

Perfect weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

This place had everything we needed - AC, dog-friendly, walkable to downtown, and inexpensive. The instructions were clearly communicated for check-in and check-out. The bathroom was a dream! Highly recommended for couples (probably too snug for a family) with or without a small dog who just need a comfortable, quiet place to rest and refresh.

Could not have been happier

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I LOVED this cottage. It was the perfect amount of space for our Bend getaway. It's 300 sq. ft., but you wouldn't know it--it's laid out perfectly. It is such a central location, right on the outskirts of downtown, which made the walk to anywhere so easy. I'm sitting here raving about this place, but what really made me want to stay was the price. For much less than what you'd pay at a hotel, you can have complete privacy and all the amenities of home (to include a washer and dryer). Plus, I was told that Boneyard brewery was next door... it's literally a stone's throw. My husband and I completed the Bend Ale Trail while we were there, so we very much appreciated that fact.

The house was well stocked with towels, linens, and kitchen items. I was in touch with Chuck for a month or two before my stay, and was pleasantly surprised with the customer service. I received suggestions and advice that really helped us to narrow down what we wanted to do, and where we wanted to go. We ended up going snow shoeing in Virginia Meisner Sno-Park and had a fantastic time. Thank you for the suggestion! I'd highly recommend this place to anyone.

Perfect place for a getaway. We didn't use the kitchen at all but it seemed well equipped. very clean and modern. Could walk everywhere! We didn't have great weather so we drove but it was a perfect location. We will use the house again!
