Great price and clean.
The townhouse is easy to find. It’s clean. It sleeps nine people but the main living area does not accommodate for nine people to sit and watch a movie or play boardgame. There are so many dishes and kitchen appliances in the cupboards there is very little room to put your food. The beds are quite comfortable but there are not enough towels! It’s very close to the lake I’m not far from town either. The price was Great!
I would definitely stay again but not with 9 people.
It's clean, big, and comfortable.
We were a little concerned rolling in past the trailer park when we first arrived. Once inside though we were pleasantly surprised. The townhouse is fine inside, big and comfortable. Upstairs in the summer can be a little warm with no ac. But not unbearable. The owner was easy to work with. The garage was stocked with a kayak, standup board, and some chairs. Overall it's a great spot. And when we walked around the neighborhood we found this is not your typical trailer park. For many they use the trailers as hunting lodge or summer homes. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. The family really enjoyed our time there and we hope to return one day!
We stayed a couple days in Granby. The home is a 1 minute walk to the lake. The home is literally equipped with everything you need. Even an ice cream scooper! Great people to work with. Definitely a place to return.
The perfect fit for our family
The location is amazing, we were able to walk to the lake and common area. The property itself was in great condition, a perfect set up for our large family. The kitchen is updated and has everything we needed. It was a perfect summer getaway. You can't see the lake from the property but it's close enough that it doesn't matter. We will be returning next summer!
We rented this townhouse for about 1-1/2 months as a base to ski at Winter Park while still having some quiet time in the evenings away from the ski town hustle, and this house delivered nicely. It's about a 40-minute drive to/from Winter Park, not too long to overly delay the drive to the slopes in the morning but long enough for our kids to get in a little nap on the drive back in the evening. The house had other pros for us, like 1) It has lots of space to sleep and plentiful bathrooms, stocked with more than enough sheets and towels. 2) It's clean. 3) It's quiet. 4) It's warm. 5) It has plenty of parking out front if you bring more than one car. 6) The owner is easy to work with.
A few minor cons to note for the sake of completeness: 1) The lighting around the kitchen table is dim, making game-playing a little harder for older eyes. 2) The pillows on the beds are pretty hard, but we're pillow snobs so others may not be as bothered by them. 3) The device that remotely controls the fireplace in the living room drained its batteries at a remarkable rate (every two weeks or so), so bring some extra AAs with you if you'd like to turn the fireplace on.
Overall, though, the townhouse was very nice, and we'd recommend it to others.
Visit the Rockies in comfort
If you are looking for a modern, high quality, roomy, comfortable, and fully stocked town home, feet from Lake Granby, this place is definitely for you. There are 3 bedrooms. Each room has its own bathroom and flat screen TV. The set up is ideal for a girls/guys weekend or family of six with grandparents or a couples getaway. Gas fireplaces in master bedroom and living room are beautiful and source of warmth.
The owner responded quickly to all our questions. He provided detailed instructions on how to work everything. As an added bonus he sent links to various websites and area attraction choices.
Being on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park was a plus (less crowded and less expensive) and only a few miles away from Grand Lake and the entrance to the park, not to mention seeing 4 Moose and tons of Elk. Close to shopping in Grand Lake or Estes Park. Close to Hot Sulphur Springs. Casino's 60 miles away in Black Hawk. The Aspens were in bloom and so colorful. We ate at the following restaurants in the town of Granby each deserving of the 4 1/2 star ratings, Italian - Moustachio's, Mexican - Azetca, Chinese - Pearl Dragon, and Pizza -Lina's.
Great Time - I would recommend this property!
