Can’t beat the location
Great view from the house and amazing access to the north channel. If you’re planning a paddle trip on the north channel and looking to have a kitchen and bed at the end of the day it will be tough to beat this spot.
Off the beaten path
Cabin was exactly as pictured. Screened in porch kept the mosquitoes at bay, definitely take the skin so soft. Deck doesn't have railing so I wouldn't want small children on it. Beautiful 180 degree views of the Georgian bay.
Satellite TV was advertised on both TV's but there wasn't any and we couldn't get the Netflix to work on the only tv with the box.
The wooden soaking tub up stairs had "sprung a leak"so the four of us had to use the downstairs shower. The shower was advertised as a steam shower which we didn't figure out how to get steam, but it did have a rain shower head and a hand held bar.
There was a nice Sandy Beach area nearby with Adirondack chairs to sit.
We couldn't find the life jackets for the row boat.
Going upstairs to the bedroom doesn't have railing.
There was free WiFi.
Coffee pot was missing the carafe.
A wonderful place.
Really a wonderful place to stay. The cabin was cozy, clean, specious and very comfortable. Beautiful area - great scenery.
Amazing Trip to the North Channel
I want to start this off by saying that the cottage and area were beautiful! Right on the north channel overlooking Fox Island. Plenty of opportunities for hiking in the Massey area, and awesome destinations such as Manitoulin Island are just over an hour away. There was no potable water, but the owner provided plenty of water for our needs. We could not find the kayak paddle, but made do with the ores for the rowboat to explore the area by water.
A WONDERFUL REST!
Spectacular location; right on the shore. 180 degree water view. My wife and I hardly saw a soul, and we were able to have a complete rest. Very special.
Great long weekend getaway!
We had an amazing time at this cottage with a beautiful view over the lake!
We arrived to a very neat and clean interior. A lot of vegetation (no garbage around the property), arriving to and around the property, attracts a lot of mosquitoes and flies. Definitely suggest bringing a bug zapper and lots of spray.
All the beds were very comfortable to sleep in. Sheets and pillows were clean and also comfortable. The nights are nice and cool, we didn't need to use the A/C.
Nathan was very helpful host during our stay. He would answer any questions within minutes.
Would definitely recommend it!
