My family just returned from a 2+ week trip, where we spent 12 of the nights at Valerie's apartment in Paris. We travel a lot, but generally only stay a few nights in every place we go. This time we wanted to feel like we were living in Paris (as much as that is possible on a vacation), and this was the PERFECT apartment for that. The apartment is in a great neighborhood, easily accessible by buses and the metro. One of the main highlights for us was becoming regulars at the bread, fruit, meat and wine shops nearby. We found some incredible cheese shops not too far away either. The apartment itself is colorful and charming. Pictures of smiling kids can be found all over, making us feel more like we were staying with friends, than in a stranger's home. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. But for me, the very best part was the terrace. WOW! My husband and I sat out on it every evening, with the most incredible views of the Eiffel Tower and Sacre Coeur. We could even see the Arc de Triomphe lit up at night. The picture on this website can't do it justice. We couldn't capture it well, either, but it is just gorgeous up there. Thank you to Valerie and her family for offering this lovely apartment. We hope to have the opportunity to return one day!
