Visit to western Sicily

The property is beautiful. We hiked and did tourist things during the day. Played in the beautiful pool to cool off in the afternoon. Went and ate at Eo restaurant which was recommended by the host. We did rent a car to get around our last two days. Fantastic time!

Clean and comfortable with a delightful host.

We enjoyed the full use of the apartment with onsite parking. Once you get the hang of driving in small Sicilian towns, it becomes east to get around. Balestrate has a beautiful beachfront and many lovely restaurants. Our hostess was helpful and friendly. Mille grazie, Rosalia!

We stayed for a few days and it was amazing. Everything was clean and perfect for us. Rosalia and her family are super welcoming, helpful and keen to tell you about the beauty of the region. Really recommend!

Good to discover the surroundings (Trapani, Zingaro, Segesta...). Very clean and everything you need in the appartment. The host super friendly. Place to park your car inside the property, pool, washing machine...

Fantastic holiday - we will return

Really great place to stay! Clean and comfortable with a fantastic welcome by Rosalia and her family. Including Dusty the gorgeous dog. Rosalie and her daughter met us at the airport - which was great and hassle free, showed us around Balestrate and really looked after us. We are looking forward to going back.

Staying at Rosalia's

Clean apartment, could use an upgrade though (suggestion: extra air conditioning in the master bedroom - it was hard to cool down). Rosalia is the perfect hostess, being warm, welcoming and very helpful!

Great Apartment

A large, well equipped apartment, just a few minutes outside of Balestrate. With two balconies, a rooftop terrace, and a swimming pool, the apartment has very nice outdoor living spaces too. The host was very helpful with local information and providing transportation to/from the train station (for a reasonable fee.) We would stay here again.

Perfect holiday, lovely home, welcoming owner

We had a fantastic week here - and booked again for next year before we left! Very comfortable apartment, well equipped and clean, a few minutes walk from centre of town and a few minutes drive from beach. Rosalia, Francesco and Martina were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and lovely with our disabled daughter. Very, very highly recommended! Mille Mille grazie Rosalia

This is a wonderful place to stay, couldn't be better

We had an absolutely wonderful experience here due entirely to the professionalism and caring attitude of Rosalie, the owner. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, comfortable, and beautiful. We had a problem with our car and Rosalie and her husband came and picked us up and helped us resolve it. I can't say enough good things about this stay. Book with confidence.

Stayed here with my family. Overall, the experience was good. The host was friendly and shared lots of tips via WhatsApp, including dining and boat trips. The pool area was lovely, and the apartment was decent. It’s about a 15-minute walk to town (with one steep hill), but the town is charming with great food at reasonable prices. We appreciated having two parking spaces (one inside the gate and one outside).On the downside: the apartment needs refreshing as many things feel old and worn. Power sockets were very limited (only one in the kitchen and three in total across bedrooms). Air conditioning costs extra, which wasn’t clearly stated. The property is spread over two levels with a roof terrace, but note there are three apartments upstairs plus the owner’s family downstairs, so the pool is shared with more guests than expected. The pool closes strictly at 8 PM. One hot evening I went for a late swim and was told it wasn’t allowed; the next day, the host said she reported us to Vrbo and could evict us, which felt extreme.Other points: The host said we could keep rubbish in bins on the balcony during the stay, but on checkout morning, we were asked to take it all downstairs. The washing machine is shared and often used by the host between turnovers, so it was hard to access.If you’re okay with strict rules and an older apartment, it’s a decent stay. If you want more flexibility, it may not be for you.

You need a car really if you stay here we used taxis and walked stayed in other parts of Sicilly in our month stay, train connections fine contact via WhatsApp with the owner managed to get us an oven for the last 2 weeks as we only had a hob-and no kettle took my own teapot as don’t drink coffee made with beans there was a machine Washing machine worked no pool that but we expected that

Wonderful hosts!

The property is exactly as advertised. Although the apartment is in the same building as the owners, we felt as though we had the place to ourselves. Rosalia and her family could not have been more helpful. We were picked up at the airport and she arranged the use of a car for the week. Although we had done some research into what attractions were in the surrounding area, Rosalia and her daughter Martina gave us some very helpful advice, which made our stay even more enjoyable than we had hoped for. On the day we were due to return home, Francesco got up at 4 am to run us the few miles to Palermo airport. This holiday apartment offers excellent value for money and we would highly recommend it as a base for exploring north west Sicily. Thank you Rosalia and family!

The place is clean BUT, all the necessities that you needed is not provided, no soap, toilet paper, dishwasher soap, paper towel etc. Pool is close at 8pm, what the heck your on vacation and after a long day outside you want to relax on the pool but it is close. And one more thing no air conditioning, you have to pay 5euro/day. All of these should have provided with no extra cost.

Not recommended - short term stay

The property is located in a very good place. You need a car to enjoy it properly. The house rules are very strict. For example, the pool hours are very restricted at the point that the time to enjoy it is very limited. The property has very basic stuff you need to buy everything from hand soap, dish soap, garbage bags, paper towel, etc. The property does not have some basic appliances such as coffee maker, microwave, etc. We asked the property owner for more hand soap (it was provided a very small amount of a mixture of water and soap that lasted twice), salt and dish soap. We received an explanation that we needed to buy everything but salt and another roll of toilet paper was provided. We had to ask the property owner to control her voice tone during our conversation (she explained that it was a cultural approach to conversations). We don’t recommend the property since it does not meet our regular standards. We believe you will enjoy it for a long term stay probably if you are properly prepared and equipped. We think and recommended the owner to be very clear and explicit on her post about the conditions so that you can take an informed decision.

Notre séjour s'est très bien passé dans cette maison. Rosalia, qui parle très bien le français, nous a très bien accueillis et nous a présentés les sites à visiter. Notre petite fille a apprécié de plonger dans la piscine après la journée. L'appartement est confortable et suffisamment équipé pour passer un agréable séjour.

Middelmatig vakantie appartement

Verblijf was uitdagend, alles in het appartement was gedateerd, slaapkamer, meubels, woonkeuken en servies etc. Appartement moet nodig gerenoveerd worden! Allerbelangrijkste wat niet klopt is het adres en beschrijving, we werden nl. naar het centrum gestuurd op dit adres maar in werkelijkheid was het huis buiten de stad op een onbekende plaats die wij nooit konden vinden zonder de eigenaars hulp om ons op te halen. Dit klopt dus helemaal niet met de werkelijkheid en moet aangepast worden!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

compramos esta casa porque nos quedamos impresionados por la zona céntrica, cerca de la aldea, pero no en el centro, tranquilo, tranquilo, con aire limpio y la libertad "para nuestros hijos para que sean cap aces de jugar en toda la tranquilidad" ....
El gran jardín nos ha permitido ser capaces de instalar una piscina y una extensa propiedad 'nos permite disponer de una plaza de aparcamiento para nosotros y para nuestros clientes ..
