The villa itself is an older home full of character and charm. Several areas, including the kitchen and bathrooms, have already been beautifully renovated. While some parts of the house could still benefit from further updates, none of this detracted from the overall experience—we found it to be comfortable, authentic, and full of personality.We visited during a particularly hot week, and although the house does not have air conditioning, the refreshing breeze coming off the bay kept the indoor temperature comfortable, especially in the evenings.The only point worth mentioning for future guests is that bed linens and towels are not included. We only discovered this shortly before our arrival because it wasn't indicated on the VRBO listing, which made it a bit challenging to organize at the last minute. Fortunately, we were able to make arrangements, but it would be helpful if this information were made clearer in the listing.Overall, this is a truly special place with an exceptional location, spectacular views, wonderful hosts, and all the charm you could hope for in a seaside villa. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Arcachon experience.
