Authentic "Cevenole" house built in the 17th century, restored with care and providing all modern conveniences, set at the end of a charming 1,5km winding road in a hamlet of 9 houses.

The environment is outstanding, poised at the gates of the Cévennes and the Grands Causses.

Swimming in the Vis river is 5 minutes away by car and you can also swim in the Hérault river

- One bedroom with 1 double bed (1,40 x 1,90)
- One bedroom with 2 single beds ( 0,90 x 1,90)

1 bathroom with shower -- 1 toilet separate

Laundry room: washing machine -- ironing table with iron (also available for the second cottage)

Option of cleaning service (at the end of your stay)

Eine phantastische Ferienwohnung mit sehr netten Vermietern in einem winzigen Weiler am Hang auf einem großen, zugänglichem Grundstück. Mit rund 90 qm, angenehm teilbeschatteter Riesenterrasse, sehr stimmiger antiker Möbilierung, die perfekt mit dem alten, aber gut instand gehaltenen Haus harmoniert und sehr schönem Panoramablick in die Natur, fühlt man sich rundum pudelwohl. Besonders auffällig ist die sehr reichhaltige Ausstattung mit Haushaltsgegenständen und -geräten. Sogar Fernglas, Taschenlampe und Ersatzbatterien liegen aus. Für Ausflüge sind mehr als genügend Anleitungen, Karten, Flyer usw. vorhanden. Die Vermieter haben schlicht an alles rund um das Gästewohl gedacht. Im ca. 7-8 km entfernten Städtchen Ganges bekommt man in den Supermärkten alles was man braucht. Der Super U inkl. günstiger Tankstelle war unser Favorit. Baden kann man auf einem Gelände am ca. 2 km entfernten Wasserfall. Über die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Gegend mit ihren Grotten, Hochplateaus usw. braucht man nicht viel Worte verlieren, es ist einfach nur großartig. Manche kleinere Sträßchen in der Gegend, so auch hoch zum Haus, sind öfter mal eng und natürlich ziemlich kurvig. So dauern Ausflüge schon mal etwas länger als gedacht, aber im Urlaub hat man ja Zeit. Ein rundum empfehlenswertes Feriendomizil mit viel Ruhe und Erholungswert.

Renoviertes Bauernhaus in beeindruckendem, kleinen Weiler. Sehr freundliche Vermieter und wunderbar köstliche Tomaten aus dem Garten! Toller Ausgangspunkt, um die Cevennen kennenzulernen! Die erste Wanderung startet quasi am Haus.

Vacances reposantes à l'ombre des Cévennes

Le gîte est dans un cadre magnifique, permettant de profiter du jardin, pour se rafraîchir dans le bassin et lire à l'ombre des arbres lors de cet été caniculaire. C'est un endroit idéal pour se reposer et découvrir notamment le cirque de Navacelles et la bambouseraie, que je conseille pour les amateurs de nature et de flore. J'ai profité également du hamac sur la terrasse pour dormir à la belle étoile, spectacle garantie. Les hôtes ont été particulièrement disponibles et accueillants.

Dem Himmel so nah

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt bei bestem Wetter. Die Alleinlage erlaubt in der Nacht einen außergewöhnlichen Blick auf den Sternenhimmel, ganz zu Schweigen von der Aussicht in die Cevennen bei Tag. Als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen zu Fuß und mit dem Auto bestens geeignet! Hoffentlich können wir bald wiederkommen.

Ein Paradies, falls…

In der Zeit unserer alleinigen Anwesenheit haben wir Haus und Umgebung sehr genossen, ein Traum, wie schon andere Urlauber beschrieben haben. Die Besitzer sind nett und unkompliziert, wir durften Tomaten ernten, die lecker sind…Nur: irreführend ist es, nicht auf die mögliche Anwesenheit weiterer Urlauber im gleichen Gebäude mit großer Terrasse direkt über unserer hinzuweisen, es handelt sich nicht um eine, sondern zwei Appartements in dem sicher urigen alten Gemäuer. Wir hatten so in der ersten von drei Urlaubswochen Lärm von Oben, morgens früh und an den Abenden (4 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder, ein Hund, inkl. Musik und lauter Unterhaltung ohne Rücksicht auf uns. Daher geben wir 2 Sterne Abzug, leider, denn es kann wirklich ein Paradies sein!

Un gîte très accueillant dans une nature préservée

La Combe, c'est un hameau cévenol intelligemment préservé par quelques passionnés. Joelle et Patrick sont de ceux là, et nous y accueillent chaleureusement. Nous tombons immédiatement sous le charme de ce vieux mas amoureusement restauré, meublé à l’ancienne et décoré avec gout. Parfaitement équipé pour recevoir les visiteurs.C’est un merveilleux balcon sur la nature, pour se reposer de la fatigue des randonnées à l’entour, ou de l’agitation du monde. Our roots from the Cevennes and our love to the region did motivate us during the years of the renovation of the cottage, which was built in the 17th century during the time of the breeding ot the silkworms. It is a nice way for thanking our elders for the history and their hard work. It's the place where our sons did grow up in total freedom.

Why they chose this property

The cottage is and will stay our family cottage. The hamlet of La Combe is located 2 km above the village of Saint Laurent Le Minier in front of the dale of the Vis. Everything is full of sun and green. The wide open space and the magic of this space are perfect for breathing new life.

What makes this property unique

The situation of the hamlet allows you to travel through the region and than to enjoy some peace on the sundeck. The fully renovated cottage is very comfortable. During the summer, you may enjoy bathing in the clear water of the Vis and canoeing on the river 'Hérault'. There are plenty of visits to do in the surroundings, you may travel with your car, your bike, your feet or on the back of a donkey. You may also laze in the coolness of the house or in the shadow of the trees.
