The location gives these newly constructed modern studio apartments their appeal. They are just over 200 meters or a 5 minutes walk to the Pacific Ocean's edge. The beautiful Talanguera neighborhood borders on Pacific Marlin where real estate prices have become some of the hottest in sw Nicaragua. Talanguera Townhomes sits up on a beautiful slopped hill with expansive views of town and the bay. Our Property Manager is also a resident living a couple blocks away and she is always available to help you with any issues. The apartment interior is a spacious living area with a high ceiling, post & beam construction and floor to ceiling windows opening onto a private patio entrance. All windows are screened and have curtains for privacy. Ceiling fans inside and out can often keep things cool enough without a/c. The furniture is new and made locally from tropical hardwoods. The single bath is nicely done with natural river rock and native hardwood. We have a larger Nica refrigerator for ice and vertical storage for surfboards. Roof top terrace with incredible bay views. Patio area opens up to beautiful gardens, a communal pool and a centerpiece Guanacaste tree. You can even hear the surf at night. There is no need to rent a vehicle. You can walk everywhere or we can arrange for an inexpensive and reliable taxi service to town, the beaches and even for airport pickup.

About Paul Speed
Julie & Jeff Terhune first visited Nicaragua in 2004 and own property south of town at Yankee Beach near Costa Rica. In 2014 we purchased two studio units much closer to town. We live in Chagrin Falls OH.
Paul Speed purchased this Studio in 2014
Why Paul Speed chose San Juan del Sur
Perfect location and a quiet and cool place to come home to at night.
What makes this Studio unique

I stayed here with my daughter for a week of language lessons in San Juan Del Sur. The interior of the apartment was gorgeous and the bathroom, kitchenette worked great. The grounds were also quite lovely - very secluded and quiet. Pretty easy walk to town. We'd stay here again.
Thank you very much Kris. Come back anytime
Nice townhome, beautiful community and a great location!
My husband and I stayed in unit 302 for 1 week. We really appreciated the location of the townhome as it was close enough to town to easily walk to/from but far enough away from the louder "party" scene on Sunday FunDay downtown:) The townhome was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We used the A/C for maybe 30 minutes/night as we were not sure if it was safe to leave our screen porch door open after dark? Not that we ever felt unsafe anywhere in SJDS, just wanted to play it smart. We had great communication with the owner leading up to our trip to SJDS but got a little frustrated with the VERY generic description/address/directions given to us as our taxi driver on 2 occasions had no idea what part of town we were talking about and we got very lost getting there initially. Once we became familiar with the location, obviously it got easier. I also wish the owner would better distinguish the photosposted to determine which photos go with which townhome (as they rent two different/but similar studio apartments there) as the photos we saw seemed to better match the other townhome and showed a water dispenser in the kitchen and so we assumed there was a water dispenser in our townhome and so didn't purchase water when we stopped by a quick-mart store on our way there. When we arrived, we realized the townhome did not contain a water dispenser and so we were without water until we could go to the store the next day. I would also love a better explanation/calculation/information about the electricity charges placed against our security deposit. I totally understand that electricity is way more expensive in SJDS and so we were very conscientious of our use of it but were still charged $33 afterwards. Would just appreciate knowing the information as to how that amount was determined. However, bottom line is that the townhome is very nice, in a very nice community and located in a great town. We LOVED SJDS and appreciated having this townhome to stay in while we were there. I would recommend this location to anyone looking but would suggest getting a little more information from the owner related to what was mentioned above.
Had perfect weather in Nicaragua. Used San Juan Del Sur as a base to explore nearby beaches. This complex is an interesting design around a beautiful tree. Nice quite pool to cool down. The unit was clean but pretty basic outfitting. Wifi only worked only worked 2 out of 7 days. Seemed to only be my unit. Problem was not resolved. Upon check out I was on a timeline to leave. They were 45 minutes late to meet up at the agreed time. There was no where to just leave the key or lock the door with the secured inside. Apologies were give but both of these situations created difficulties for this stay. A car or even better an SUV are pretty much a must.
Great Location, beautiful property
Stayed for a week over Christmas 2017. Jeff and Yanaisy were very helpful getting stuff organized prior to our arrival and during our stay. The location is great, close to the city but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet as well. Walked from the condo to town during the day, and took cabs at night. Cabs during the day were 5 dollars and cabs at night ranged from 6 dollars to 10 depending on the cab driver; if you find a good cab driver with a reasonable rate keep his card!
The studio itself was stylish and clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you should need for day to day meals.
Would stay here again, Thanks Jeff!
Very nice studio units tastefully designed. The property is always maintained and kept clean
We stayed in one of the studios for 2 weeks and really enjoyed it. The walk to town by beach is about 15 minutes but it is an easy walk. Yanaisy,, the caretaker was there to meet us when we arrived and was always available if anything was needed. Jeff and Julie were also great in responding to any questions or concerns we had. The bed in the unit is "very" comfortable and there are a nice variety of pots, pans dishes etc, which we have found to be lacking in other places we have stayed. There is construction going on, but we knew this in advance and it is not that bad at all. Great place to stay!
nice studio in a construction site
The studio was exactly as seen on the pictures, however there is construction on the site (right next door) so there is a lot of dust and noise. If we would have been informed before booking, we would have looked somewhere else. Allthough we have traveled and lived all over the world, for a short vacation the situation was unacceptable to us. We were charged 45$ extra for electricity for 4 days during which we never used a/c. Communication prior to arrival was also difficult, we finally got the location of the condo the night before an early international flight after having to insist a couple of times.
The Pacific coast of Nicaragua has recently gained more notoriety because of reality shows Survivor Nicaragua and HDTV International. Both have highlighted the beautiful coastline, the world class surfing and some great experiences waiting in the wings. San Juan Del Sur has a dozen nearby beaches for fun, sun, wind and surf. Each is unique with gentle to world class waves depending on your challenge level. There are very few places on Earth where the coastal trees lean toward the sea. South toward Costa Rica, the La Flor Reserve is one of nine beaches on the planet where sea turtles still come to lay their eggs. It is a protected area where monies raised help with efforts to protect the dry tropical forests and the Paso del Isthmus Biological Corridor ecosystem. Eco-tourism is having a major impact in the Lago de Colcobilca area, with many travelers visiting Isla de Ometepe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's only island with two volcanoes that is surrounded by fresh water. The San Juan River flows east to the Caribbean and you can catch some of the largest tarpon on Earth. There is also numerous rain forest, volcano (there are 19 volcanoes in Nica) and coffee plantation hiking for all skill levels. Granada is nearby and the oldest colonial city in the Americas. A lakeside city with a bustling atmosphere, it has become a blend of the old ways and a growing ex-pat community. Nearby are Masatepe and the Pueblos Blancos considered the best marketplaces for ceramics, leather goods, furniture and art. We hope you enjoy your time here.
