We fell in love with this oceanfront condo and purchased it as our winter getaway. The condo has been in excellent care from its previous owners who continue to own the one next door. We're retired and love living in the Pacific Northwest but like to have a warm place to spend a few cold winter weeks when fishing slows here and snow flies! We're family people, originally from Hawaii who loves exploring new cultures and sharing our findings with others. We've lived in Hawaii, still have family there, and understand the need to find familiar supports while respecting the unique needs of others. Keeping an open mind to allow new ideas is a must as it has permitted us to widen our view not only of the world but sample so many wonderful cultures in exchange. We realize we have an exceptional condo and hope exceptional individuals searching for that 'right place' will agree, as we have, we've discovered a wonderful place to vacation, good people, and an incredible home away from home. We're located in a secluded private area in the Mirador portion of Puerto Penasco. Our beautiful condo is on the first floor, the private blue infinity pool is incredible, the decor inside is tasteful with ample storage closets in two bedrooms to hold your personal belongings. The Mexican tiled showers are huge and easily accessed. Parking is under 24/7 security behind tall protective walls preventing exposure to ocean salt air. There's even room for RV parking.

Wonderful living conditions for individuals with mobility issues or small children. No stairs. Two large Mexican tiled walk-in showers. No slippery bathtub to climb into! Quiet and far removed from resorts while just around the corner from Puerto Penasco's famous destination; "Old Port". We provide WiFi, Cable TV in English. The ocean view from our back door is absolutely breathtaking. We fell in love with this beautiful peaceful place that's incredibly still in town and close to everything Rocky Point has to offer.

Perfect for anyone
My family stayed over Labor Day for two nights and had a wonderful time. We searched tide pools for sea creatures and found mussels to cook and eat. If you like to party, Manny's has a pool, bar, live music just next door (but far enough away you can't hear in the condo). The infinity pool was never too busy and we lounged under the umbrella right in front of the condo. The unit was the best equipped unit I've stayed at in RP. There was nothing missing that I needed and the owners were a joy to work with. We would definitely return and plan to do so.
The accommodations were more than adequate as far as bedding, towels, kitchen and bath facilities were concerned. The Mexican influenced furniture was really nice. The patio and outdoor furniture were great. There were some maintenance concerns that need to be addressed. The utility drawer in the kitchen had mold in it and we placed that out on the patio in order to alleviate any mold and smell in the kitchen. One of our grandchildren is very sensitive to things like that. The door handle on the sliding door had slipped off its connection and we found the screw to put it back in place. We did this several times, but, we did not have a screwdriver to get it right. I believe it needs a larger screw to keep it in place. The master bathroom toilet runs, and we tried to jiggle the handle to keep it from doing that. The refrigerator leaks water at times and we made sure that was cleaned up.
We enjoyed the pool, but, we noticed that there were people coming to the pool that did not reside there. It was so crowded on Saturday and Sunday, all day and evening, that we could not use the pool. We did not need to be at the pool the entire time, but, it was inaccessible for at least half of our visit, either because it was full, or it was dirty. Some residents created a lot of noise and trash into late hours on the weekend. We did not expect that. The walls are quite thick, and once we closed everything up, we couldn’t hear the noise outside.
Your website show great photos of the beach and water, but, there really is no beach at your property to take little children. We drove and walked east to find a sandy beach and access to the tide pools. We were fine with that, but, on your website it looks like there is a beach right there. I believe you should state that on your description.

Thank you for confirming how outsiders are using the pool, it is used with permission only. The door handle was repaired and the fridge tends to have extra condensation during summer months filling the lower section. I will take care of the toilet, thank you for bringing that to our attention. The water is hard there requiring the changes of plumbing fixtures more often. We do go into detail about the lack of swimming in the ocean in front of our condo, explaining we are on the tide pools with Mirador Beach near by, I recently posted a photo provided to us showing the shore line from the East looking West and we do our best to inform everyone that we are on the part of Puerto Penasco which gives it the Anglo name "Rocky Point" most of the ocean photos show the exposed tide pools at sunset. Manny's next door also has numerous swimming pools available to its patrons, but I will once again bring this to the attention of Security as they are responsible for enforcing rules regarding those who are not allowed into our complex. When you entered you should be given a pass for your car. No one is allowed to enter without one. I will inform the property management as this should not be allowed. Please read again our description of our location.
Our family had a great time! The owners were kind and very attentive to our questions and needs. The condo had everything we needed for our stay. The location was good and very beautiful and serene. We loved swimming in the ocean and swimming pool. My husband and kids loved snorkeling and there were many tide pools for them to explore. We met some very kind families at the pool and had a wonderful experience. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 is because we wished there was a more sandy beach closer without the rocks. We would definitely stay here again though.
Thank you, we do our best to accurately describe our proximity to the beach, Sandy Beach to our West is very popular but also located where the crowded resorts are, Mirador Beach is closest, swimmable and almost just a popular. Glad you had a good vacation. Charline

Wonderful location wonderful condo
This is wonderful property! Extraordinary views from the back patio, plenty of room for my family to be comfortable any and everything you would need to be comfortable on your stay. There are a few restaurants and bars within walking distance and less then a 5 minute drive to the fish market! We loved this place and the owners told us a ton of places to check out! My family and I will definitely stay here again!

Disappointing to say the least...
In the property description it was made clear that there was a hot tub and swimming pool. The hot tub was Out of Order 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed. Not to mention, we were unable to enjoy the pool due to the fact that it was over run with locals parking in the dirt parking lot next to the condos They were partying loud and hard in the hot tub, pool and picnic area in front of the pool. (The pool/hot tub was a main reason for choosing to stay at your property to begin with). After they left, the hot tub was all of a sudden “Out of Order,” and there was beer cans, trash and food debris all around the pool area; it smelled like pee, there was no attempting to swim at that point. This was extremely disappointing to put it lightly.
Lastly, we were disgusted by the fact that there was no security around or workers on premises that we could get in contact with to address any issues. The one security guard at the condo parking entrance did not speak English..I tried to message the owner while there but the WiFi was not working. Even after resetting the WiFi, still no signal at all! Not on anyone’s phones, tablets or even my laptop. It was a beautiful view and the condo was nice inside, minus a couple minor things. We will NOT be back though, the broken hot tub and lack of WiFi really spoiled our experience.

We notice that there is no mention regarding the damages to our BBQ which our housekepper notified us hours after your departure which she is responsible for doing. She submitted pictures of the damage. The BBQ is less than a year old and purposely kept inside and cleaned after each guest leaves. We are not reponsible for the use of the hot tub - we do mention it is available for use but the times are not set in stone and due to the high cost of electricity its use varies and we cannot predict when this will occur. Security is aware of this. We are not notified as the need varies. This is a common shared area as is the swimming pool and outdoor settings in the common area. Your complaints surround things beyond our ability to predict much less control. and does not by any means validate the integrity of our home much less our description of our condo. Our excellent reviews as well as those of our VRBO neighbors in the same building reflect this. This is shown in the five star reviews immediately before and after your stay The $100 damage deposit was kept as the damage to the BBQ was immediately identified and it does not even begin to cover the cost of replacing it with a new one. The WIFI depends on the amount of people using the system, this is common in Puerto Penasco and in other developing countries.
We are just a 3 1/2 hour drive from Phoenix and Tucson right on the sea of Cortez! Excellent roving 24/7 security with security cameras protecting complex. Once the final payment is provided we will supply the door code. Our condo is located just off Benito Juarez, the main street entering Puerto Penasco - highway 8 as you leave Lukeville. On Benito Juarez you will come to your first red light near Sam's Club, you will pass through a total of seven in all - the last will be at the "T" intersection of Fremont and Benito Juarez - a large green sign on a pedestrian overpass will say "Las Conchas" the last red light, a park will be on your left, a large white building 'Municipal Court' will also be across Fremont and on your left - this will mark the beginning of Campeche street which will be on your left as Benito Juarez begins to turn towards the right leading into "Old Port" - take Campeche which goes up a slight hill known as Whale Hill, you will see the ocean in front of you, across an open field - Manny's Beach Restaurant will be on your left, our condo will be on your right - turn right on this road you will see a tall large yellow/orange building behind a hollow tile wall, the middle 3 story one is ours- "Palicio Del Mar"- a yellow security guard shack marks our entrance - we are on Matamoros. Baja Cantina is across the road from our condos. We will provide the door code upon final payment a well as inform the security. For a good list of restaurants please feel free to ask and by all means check out the popular Rocky Point Times for current events, an excellent map of town and great places to dine! Its free and available at most stores and restaurants
Extinct Volcano just outside of town on Highway 8 is a must see, Visit the Tequila Factory and learn the 6 stage process of making Tequila, one of Mexico's world famous prized exports - located on Blvd. Benito Juarez & Calle 12 and taste some of Mexico's finest Tequila before purchasing a bottle. Santiago Ocean Service offers sunset dinner cruises, parasailing, snorkeling, Eco Bird Isle tours, fishing. 18 Hole par 72 Championship Golf course at The Links at Las Palomas, Sandy Beach - $45, gold cart rental available. Ultra Light Flying Adventures - $40.00 for 15 minutes over any part of town, CET- MAR Aquarium - self directed tour of working marine life study conducted by Mexico's Marine Biologist - M-F 10.AM - 2:30 PM Sat- Sun - 10 AM - 5 PM adults $3 - child $1 - CET -MAR is located on Freemont going towards Las Conchas - turn left on Camino a Las Conchas after PEMEX gas station on the left,( you will pass a PEMEX on your right on the corner of Fremont and Sinaloa) the one you need will be the second one and will be on your left - CET-MAR it is on the bend as road nears the beach.
