Alpine styled apartment end of corridor(little noise) with mountain views.

The apartment is on the fourth floor, it is light, sunny and spacious with one double bedroom and ensuite, a second bedroom with two single beds (that can be put together). The second bedroom has its own bathroom and toilet and separate hallway within the apartment making it private.

On entry to the apartment you are greeted by a large open plan kitchen diner with sofa bed (that will comfortably sleep 2) and a balcony which catches the afternoon sun.

All in excellent condition and very well equipped. The kitchen includes a , hobs, microwave with grill, fridge, freezer and dish washer, but there is not a actual cooker .There is free unlimited wifi, a smart TV which has several English channels and Netflix along with plenty of French channels. The apartment and balcony face the" bois de l'ois" piste so there very little village noise.

In true ski in ski out syle you right on the edge of the piste when leaving the boot room, you ski straight into the main lift system and at the end of the day ski back through the village to the ski room door. Arc 1950 village, is snow sure and arguably the best connected of the villages that make up the wonderful Paradiski area. It is less than 3 minutes walk from the apartment to the village centre. Facilities in the village include shops and restaurants, ski hire a choice of ski schools and child care. There is also a car park under the village if required with direct lift access into the reception.

Available July and August and Mid December through to Mid April

The village is atmospheric but not too loud. Has great restaurants and bars and then there's the skiing. The real reason anyone would buy a ski apartment. 435km of pisted skiing and not to mention the off-piste available.

Our apartment is on the 4rd floor end of corridor so quieter than all others on same floor and has amazing views looking over the mountains and Paradiski area as you can see from the profile image i have used. in addition all residents have access to Outdoor heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Indoor Swimming pool, steam rooms, sauna and a fitness centre.

Brilliant apartment with stunning views

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful holiday my husband and 2 small children had here late in the ski season. On arrival we found the apartment to be clean and well presented.

The views really are breathtaking with warm spring sunshine soaking the apartment from late morning. We found it ideally situated for all the shops/bars etc but nice and peaceful during the rush hour periods! The ski area is really good with plenty of variation to cater for all abilities. Hoping to return in 2019!

Very well located apartment with great views.

  • 5 of 5

We have been coming to Arc 1950 since it first opened when our 2 children were just learning to ski. They are now adults and it’s still the prettiest, highest, most convenient, well served, doorstep ski resort we know.

The Refuge is one of the earliest in the development and one we have stayed in before so I knew which side to go for. We loved this apartment. It may be one of the smaller ones by square footage but the beautiful view over the slopes and lifts from the full height, picture windows gave us light, space, joy in the mornings, entertainment in the afternoons and a peaceful setting in the evenings. It was perfect for our family of four and well laid out with rooms on either side of the living room.

It is also on the top floor and at the end of the corridor so feels private but has an additional lift here which accesses the spa area so you can slip out in your bathrobe and be in the (predominantly empty)spa within a few paces.

Comforts include fast WiFi, Netflix, nespresso, fine bedlinen, bathrobes and molton brown toiletries. We were touched by the welcoming bottle of prosecco by the owners.

We rearranged the sofa and table to maximise the view as the balcony was under repair. The dining table, as a generous console behind the sofa, worked out beautifully for our two undergrads needing desk space and gave shape to the sitting area.

Minor niggles: the height of the microwave and breakfast bar are better suited to tall guests. A couple of extra hooks at the doorway or removing one door would avoid having to fight with two back-to-back doors to access the coat cupboard. A hanging rail in the corner cupboard of the master bedroom would have been useful as it has ample shelves - even enough to stack suitcases. Double plug sockets would mean no compromising lights to charge phones and would allow both sliding doors to fully open if necessary.

Our host was extremely attentive and responded quickly to any questions and requests. It was so much nicer and more satisfying to deal with the owner personally.

The reception at the Hameau freely replenished our supply of dishwasher tablets and toilet paper as there was no midweek clean. We were also able to leave our bags with them to ski on the last day and use their spa after we’d checked out, using different key cards. All this was fully explained by John over emails.

We had a great time staying in this apartment and would happily recommend it to others.

Fantastic accomodation

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in this accomodation, it has ski in and ski out from the locker room, supemarket, bakery, ski hire and ski lift pass in very close proximity. 1950 is a beautiful location for a holiday. The accomodation is superb, clean and has everything you require. Cooking for yourself is easy and the owner John was very helpful and always replied quickly to any questions. We would definately use this accomodation again. Thank you John.

Great apartment for a family skiing holiday

Stayed for 8 nights over the New Year at Les Arcs 1950 resort. This good sized two bedroom apartment accomodated my family of five, including 3 young children. No issues at all throughout our stay. Would recommend it to others.

Arc 1950 is a beautiful, pedestrian only village in the popular ski and mountain biking resort of Les Arcs. The apartment is situated in the centre of the village, so easily accessible in true ski in, ski out style.

Food, Drinks and Nightlife and Relaxation.

There are ample bars, cafes, bakery and restaurants of various different styles in Arc 1950, so something to suit all tastes and needs. Alternatively The Spar stocks a great variety of foods for those wanting to enjoy dining in. If you fancy something a little different the gondola runs during the daytime until 11pm most nights, taking you to Arc 2000.

In terms of nightlife after the pubs and bars, Luigi’s Club opens twice a week but there are plenty more clubs in Arc 2000.

If you are in need of some TLC Arc 1950 offers a fantastic spa. Deep Nature Spa is situated at the back of the resort offering incredible views of Mont Blanc.

Winter Sports

Based in Arc 1950, you will be readily set for some unforgettable skiing in one of the largest resorts in Europe. Paradiski covers Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry and La Plagne with 435km of pisted skiing from 1,200 to 3,250 metres and 131 ski lifts.

Pistes are varied so suitable for very beginner to expert skiiers. For the more daring, tours are provided by Evolution who can take you off piste to some of the most spectacular and remote areas of the mountain. Not for the faint hearted we might add!

Ski and equipment hire is available from several places in Arc 1950, so no need to worry about sorting this before you arrive. There are also two great ski schools providing lessons and guides for all abilities. For children aged 3 and over, there are always group ski classes for them to join or there is a great childrens club called The Caribou, offering all day child care should you wish to ski/board independently.

Summer Sports

Whether it’s mountain biking or hiking, Arc 1950 is in a prime location for those looking for a challenge.
