Nice and welcoming accommodation located 1000 m in the village of Gignod in the Gran San Bernardo Valley.
It can accommodate 4 people and has a small kitchen, a large living room, bedroom with double bed, mezzanine with 2 single beds and bathroom.
Surrounded by a large well-kept garden available to our guests and 50 m from the main services: minimarket, bar / tobacconist, restaurant, famacia and post office.
A few minutes from Aosta with its Roman monuments and pretty shops and in a convenient position to reach the main tourist destinations in the region.
There are many hiking itineraries for all levels in the surroundings and throughout the Aosta Valley.
In winter it is the ideal base for skiing weeks due to its proximity to the Crévacol and Pila areas, the cross-country ski run and the Flassin snow park.

The home is lovely, well-built and quiet, and in the most beautiful valley in the world.

We enjoyed our 10 day stay in Gignod in the quiet and comfortable home of Paola and Fulvio. Our hosts made us feel at home with helpful hints for enjoying the area, good recommendations for restaurants and general kindness. The house is immaculate and well-built, seems larger than the pictures show and is located in a gorgeous valley. We enjoyed the stars at night and the mountains at daybreak each day. A day trip to Pila ski area was amazing. We also made day trips to Mt. Blanc and Chamonix France. Our time there was the best and we would stay there again!

Un accueil très chaleureux !

Merci à Paola et Fulvio pour leur accueil des plus chaleureux sur ces quelques jours dans leur grande maison. La maison est très confortable et très propre pour notre petite famille. Le jardin est magnifique et nous avons pu en profiter. Gignod est très bien situé dans la vallée pour visiter l'ensemble de la région : on est très rapidement à Aoste. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir dans cette magnifique région des Alpes italiennes.

Wir haben zwei erlebnisreiche Urlaubswochen verbracht, was allerdings auch bedeutet hat, fast jeden Tag mit dem Auto unterwegs zu sein. Zur Erholung hat auch die bestens eingerichtete Wohnung beigetragen und das gute Verhältnis zu den Vermietern.

Absolutely wonderful

All the pictures are correct, the garden is beautiful, the fountain is actually turned on, the house is compact, cute and a 'real' house (because the hosts used to live in it themselves), so proper wardrobe and furniture. The house is actually located along a pilgrimage route (Via Francigena, you can basically hike part of it just leaving from the garden). The hosts really make you feel welcome! BEAUTIFUL view on the mountains, from 3 sides of the house and we spent many lazy days in the garden (between the hiking trips) and doing yoga on the grass (look up and you'll see an eagle!). To one side a 12th century tower, to the other a similar old church (which bells you will hear). Ask directions for the cheese farm store (Chez Duclos) in a nearby village, they can pack it so you can take it home (ask for ''sous vide''). Both speak fluent French and a mix of English and French will get you a long way. We had some nice talks with both of them. Fulvio is a professional landscape architect and it shows in the garden (which had an Edelweiss, or ''Stella Alpina'' in Italian). We came to the house in Gignod to relax from our urban environment and if that's what you're looking for: this house is great (haven't slept so well in months!). The house is fully isolated, which meant it was cool (if you close the wooden blinds in day time). It really felt like home and I think that was what made this house an absolute winner. It is connected to the main house, where Paola and Fulvio and Fulvio's parents live, which also gives it a nice and safe feeling to know they're closeby. Aosta is a short drive away, you can take the cable car up to Pila from Aoste(ski area, also mountainbike and hiking tracks), across the road a small groceries store, and if you drive to the right, the ''Due Campane'' restaurant, at a golf course, is a short drive away. Also love the fact that they have their own compost heap, so walking over to contribute our organic waste, really felt we were part of Valle d'Aosta life.. And the wardrobe has lights that go on automatically.. just a cool thing. And for washing, you can make use of the (Miele!) washing machine in the laundry room. It's not run super commercially, and that's why it is so attractive.

La casa è spaziosa, curata, tranquilla e ben accessiriata. Il giardino è molto ben tenuto e veramente grande. I proprietari sono gentili e disponibili. Tutto corrisponde alla descrizione dell'annuncio. La posizione è ideale per visitare l'intera Valle d'Aosta poichè, pur essendo in posizione tranquilla, non è molto distante da Aosta e dall'autostrada/statale che attraversa la regione.

la casa è fantastica offre tutti i confort necessari. Bellissimo il giardino curato da Fulvio. Paola molto premurosa e cordiale come anche la mamma di Fulvio e il papà Guido. ideale per chi vuole rilassarsi a due passi dal Monte Bianco.
