This spacious, light-filled, cedar-shingled, classic 'Bay Header' recently underwent a gut renovation. Its timeless beauty still intact, the first floor has an open plan with an eat-in Kitchen, Dining/Living Room and half bath. Doors at either end of the house open onto the wrap-around porch, Kitchen slider opens onto the back porch which has an outdoor shower and a lovely view of the channel.
Upstairs there are five bedrooms (King, Queen, Full, Twin, Twin) and three full bathrooms (master en suite with double sinks, hall with bathtub/shower, and "Jack & Jill" with double sinks ).
The house has Central AC plus ceiling fans in every room. Cable TV and wireless internet are included.
This uncluttered and serene home is conveniently located 2 blocks from the guarded Bridge Ave beach, with a short walk to Twilight Lake, ice cream parlor, bakery, cheese/wine shop, restaurant, tennis courts, playground and NJ Transit Train Station with service to NYC.
The house is well suited for three couples or one couple with children and grandparents. There is excellent communal space as well as privacy.

Our family has been coming to Bay Head since the 1920's. We love Bay Head's natural beauty and its charming small town feel. Families like our's return year after year to enjoy its beaches, tennis courts, crabbing in the channel, and sailing in the bay.
Why Bill chose Bay Head
This home is a short walk from the guarded Bridge Ave beach and is close to the amenities of the downtown - near Mueller's bakery, and close to the playground, the channel, and the municipal tennis courts. We are walking distance to the train station (1/2 mile) with NJ Transit service to New York's Penn Station which makes it ideal for an escape from the city. Convenient by car via the GS Parkway (exit 98) or the NJ Turnpike (exit 7A) you can get to Bay Head from just about anywhere! Boardwalks with amusements for children of all ages are available in Pt Pleasant immediately north of Bay Head or Seaside Heights 10 miles south of Bay Head.

Wonderful week at beach.
This is our third year staying in this house (2 familes with 4 teenagers in total). The house is comfortable, centrally located in town and has the most wonderful porch for relaxing. The house is well maintained and equipted with everything we needed. Highly recommend this lovely house for carefree days at the beach!!

Great house in a great location in a great town
This beautiful house is very comfortable and right in the middle of the quaint beach scene in Bay Head. The owners are easy to communicate with, return calls promptly and are very responsive to any guest needs.
The beach is easy to walk to. The porch is perfect for relaxing. The main floor is a great space to socialize with friend and family. It has a comfortable living room, dining room and beautiful kitchen. The whole house feels bright and fresh.
I would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional House in Great Location
This is an exceptional completely renovated house two blocks from the beach in Bay Head. The location is ideal - in addition to proximity to the beach, the house is right in town and a short walk to the market. There is access to a small canal between Twilight Lake and Bay Head Harbor where we were able to go crabbing. 5BRs and 4 baths allow for plenty of living space. Wrap around porch complete with rocking chairs is a nice place to spend the evenings. Nearly fully equipped with AC, a grill and beach furniture, etc. The owners are very pleasant and helpful. The only issue with this house is there is no washer/dryer. The owners offer a laundry service which we did not use. We had access to another house down the block and ended up using their washer/dryer. A week at the beach with children is a long time to go with no real option in this regard and will likely preclude us from choosing this rental option again, however we still would recommend this house as a very good vacation option.
Simply Amazing and Totally Perfect!
We stayed here at the beginning of August 2016. First time for us in this house, 21st summer in Bay Head. It was perfect. House is clean, spacious, beautiful and comfortable! Amenities were great.... Outdoor shower, clean BBQ, kitchen utensils, cable/wifi, etc.
Location is ideal. We hardly ever got in the car!!! Huge for a mom of 3 who is constantly in the car shuttling them! Kids would go crabbing whenever they wanted and we could drink our coffee/wine from the deck and watch them!!!! We could pop across the street to the bakery in the morning or Dune Cafe for ice cream. Run down the street to the cheese shop for cocktail hour provisions. Farmers Market was an added treat. I could go on and on.
Beach is a super close walk. Beach is amazing.
Bill and Allison are awesome landlords. Nicest people.

Spacious, airy, great location
2 families (including 4 teen age girls) had a great week at the beach! The house is spacious, clean, well appointed and in a great location (right in town and 2 Blocks to beach). Bay Head is a lovely community and has been our destination for 13 summers. This is our second summer at this house and our favorite one (it has the best porch is town!!). We hope to be back Again.
Bay Head is a charming beach community, with a New England feel. It is easily accessible from New York City by train or car. It is family friendly, with lovely beaches. It is a great town for walking, biking and roller blading. The town center has a bakery, Post Office, Wine & Cheese shop, gift shops, a cafe serving b'fast, lunch and ice cream and a small channel and lake for crabbing. Nearby communities offer a municipal golf course, movies, shopping and an amusement park with an aquarium and miniature golf. NJ Transit train from NYC's Penn Station and by car from GS Pkwy (exit 98) and NJ Tpk (exit 7A).

Weekly rate is $4800 (Off-season rates available). Refundable $500 security deposit, along with non-refundable $99 PDP (Property Damage Protection), plus VRBO Service Fee (capped at $399). Preferred method of payment is by e-check thru VRBO. If Tenant pays with credit card, the 2.9% surcharge charged by VRBO will be paid by Tenant. Check-in 3:00pm, Check-out 10:00am House Rules: No Pets, No smoking in house or on porches, Park only in driveway, Beachgoers must use garden hose to rinse off feet, bathing suit and body before entering house or showering (this applies to the outdoor shower as well as indoor showers) No wet bathing suits, wet clothes or wet towels on any indoor furniture. Nothing to be hung over any porch railing. Garbage and recyclables are to be separated. All garbage is to be bagged in white "Tall Kitchen" bags (nothing loose i.e. diapers, pizza boxes) and placed in receptacle in back yard. Garbage is collected by the town twice a week. Recyclables are not collected by the town. At end of tenancy tenant is to empty receptacle and deliver recyclables (newspapers, magazines, books, glass bottles & jars, steel & aluminum cans, plastic bottles with necks smaller than body) to the Municipal Recycling Center located at 214 Park Ave, Bay Head. Please note that pizza boxes are NOT to be recycled. Please tear pizza boxes up and dispose of in regular garbage bags. Refund Policy: If Tenant needs to cancel this lease Landlord will make every effort to re-rent the house at the same rate. If successful, Landlord would refund any portion already paid, If unsuccessful, Landlord would not. Traveler's Insurance is suggested.
