Bay Head House Description

A lovely 3-story beach-front home, newly rebuilt after hurricane Sandy, keeps the original charm of the Bay Head homes built a century ago. The house features beds for 11, a gourmet kitchen, high-speed WiFi, and is just a two-minute walk to the beach entrance.

DESCRIPTION

The main floor features a beautiful enclosed porch with views of the beach, a large family room, gourmet kitchen, and adjoining dining room for family meals and activities. The large family room has plenty of comfortable seating, a 50” TV with surround sound, an Apple TV, and Xfinity cable. Outside you'll find wrap-around decks with plenty of lounge furniture, a large gas grill, and a heated, enclosed shower for cleaning off after spending the day on the beach.


The second and third floors have beds for 11, along with more lounge space, expansive views of the beach, and air mattresses (sleeping an additional five people in three twins and a queen). The second floor has four bedrooms and two full bathrooms; the third floor has one bedroom and one full bath.


The private Bay Head beach expanse is clean with designated swimming areas, patrolled by City of Bay Head lifeguards. Enjoy swimming, surfing, occasional pick-up volleyball games, and evening walks.


THE NEIGHBORHOOD


Activities in the immediate area include the famous downtown Bay Head bakery, post-office, and boutique shopping area – small, but complete. Gourmet restaurants, ice cream, a boardwalk, and amusement park are just minutes away in Point Pleasant. Full grocery and shopping centers are within 5 miles of the rental location. Should you wish to visit New York City during your stay, a commuter train is just a 10-minute walk and will drop you in Penn Station. Uber is also available in the town of Bay Head should you wish to travel here without a car.

First floor: full gourmet kitchen with dishwasher, center island and wet-bar; formal dining room with large bay windows overlooking the front porch; large family room with TV, sofa, lounging chairs, and gas fireplace; enclosed porch facing East Ave and the ocean; side porch with eating table, chairs; front porch with chairs; half bathroom with sink and cabinets; brand-new GE washer and dryer.


Second floor: master bedroom with queen bed, view of ocean and adjacent bathroom with shower; guest room #2 with queen bed and view of ocean; guest room #3 with two twin beds; guest room #4 with two twin beds; large shared bathroom with two sinks, tub, and shower.


Third floor: guest room #5 with three twin beds; large entertainment room configured for work or lounging and spectacular view of the ocean; wet-bar with small refrigerator; full bath with shower.


Backyard: rear porch with clothes line; enclosed outdoor shower with hot water; flagstone patio with table, seating and gas-grill; driveway (for total of 4 cars off-street parking); street parking outside house as space is available.

We are unable to refund any of the fees that VRBO has collected:
1. Lodging Taxes
2. Guest Service Fee
3. Payment Processing Fees
To receive a refund for these, please contact VRBO directly.

For any amounts that have been collected by VRBO on our behalf (called 'Nightly Rate) we extend the following cancellation policy:

Should RESIDENT express a need to terminate their booking prior to taking possession of the property for the rental period, deposit monies will be refundable according to the following schedule, but will not exceed monies which we have received through VRBO's payment disbursements to us:
1. If notice is given more than 7 weeks before occupancy, the cancellation fee will be 25% of the rental contract.
2. Otherwise the cancellation fee will be 50% of the rental contract.
3. In either case, a good-faith search by the AGENT will be conducted and if it results in a suitable replacement RESIDENT for the period, then rental fees will be refunded to a maximum of 90% of the rental fee.
