Ideal for weddings, family gatherings and courses. Main house sleeps 16 and can be rented with or without the neighbouring School House which sleeps 6. 35 mins from Perugia airport.

This is our home so please treat it like yours. Please don't use glass next to the pool- one breakage and the pool has to be drained! There are plastic glasses and plates available. Please close pool umbrellas when not in use and pin back windows on the hooks provided. The wind can blow up suddenly and cause windows to slam and umbrellas to snap and fly away. There is loads to do in the area for those who want to explore, so happy to advise.

We bought the house 20 years ago after falling in love with the area. Umbria has all the appeal of Tuscany without the crowds. Our lovely Italian neighbours are near enough to make us feel safe all year round but once you are inside the boundaries of the house and grounds it is completely private. We are writers and the house is great to work in, but now our son is a teenager it's harder to decamp there for the entire summer and it seems a waste for this amazing huge house to be standing empty.

Why they chose this property

First of all the views- right across the valley with the picture book village of Monte Sanra Maris Tibetina visible from the west facing Windows, terrace , garden and pool. Then the house itself- over 900 years old with stone fireplaces , terracotta floors and chestnut beams on the ceilings.

Home comforts combine with historic features. Ensuite bathrooms, satellite TV, etc Fantastic location near several famous towns and villages, beautiful hiking country, a food lovers paradise....
