Very nice property. Kitchen was well equipped: large fridge, microwave Keurig coffee maker with coffee pods. Family friendly with game room. Host provided some snacks. Very clean accommodations. We were pleased with our stay.

June 2025 Getaway

This is a very solid property. It is in a very quiet setting, providing nice bird watching from either porch as well as a great fire ring. It is very close to several kayak put-ins at Lake Wilhelm. The inside of the house is very clean and cute. Plenty of items for cooking. The pool table downstairs is fun. We have stayed in this house three times and will most likely do so in the future.

Fabulous stay. Clean, comfortable, great location central for Slippery Rock University, Erie and Pittsburg. All the ammenities and then some (pool table, card table and foosball). Goos communication. Truley enjoyed it!

Weekend wedding stay

My wife and I were in town for a family wedding and had a wonderful stay. This is a clean, well kept space with plenty of room and fun amenities. Quiet location for relaxation.

New Year's Trip 24/25

We have stayed at this property twice in the past. Unfortunately, there was a last-minute illness that prevented us from being able to go this time. Too late to cancel. Just one of those things. Nobody's fault.We hope to book another trip to this property in the future, because it is just a nice, quite place to relax and unplug for a few days.

Peaceful beauty

A very peaceful place in the country, we loved playing with our 4 year old and watching her run on the large green pasture. Very calming, great deck to relax and have our morning coffee. Hosts were very hospitable and kind. Highly recommend!

Weekend Getaway

If you want peace and quiet with nobody around, then this is the place for you. The facilities in the house are great, but the grounds are great, too. Both the front and the back offer privacy, with a fire ring out back. It is a very short drive to Lake Wilhelm, making this property a nice base of operations if you are into flat water kayaking, fishing, etc.

Highly recommend

The house and property are a perfect getaway. There were nice added touches such as snacks, coffee and pretty much anything you needed. It was very clean and would highly recommend it. The kitchen is fully stocked and lots of linens as well as outdoor furniture. It is in a safe neighborhood and everyone was very friendly. It is only a few miles from the bicycle trail. We will be planning our next stay here. I cant say enough good things about this place.

New Year's 2024

Excellent property. Carolyn and Chuck were super nice. They gave us a brief tour of the house, which was helpful. We were able to ask how to properly use the wood burner as well as get clarification of whether we could use the wood for the outdoor fire pit. The house was extremely clean. The fridge was completely empty, to include the ice trays. This is a nice touch. It made it very clear on the expectation for our departure. There were nice views out of the windows as well as from both porches. Very few cars were traveling on the road. Hours would go by without seeing one. Farmland and woods were everywhere, which is exactly what we wanted. This rental was definitely a house and not a cabin. To me, "house" implies cleanliness, convenience, modernity, and livability, while "cabin" implies sparseness, with the expectation of the residence being less clean, possibly older and a little run-down, with antiquated facilities, and hidden rodent droppings to occasionally be found. Carolyn and Chuck's serene country vacation rental is definitely a house! Very nice. If only the house were for sale, I'd be all over it. Thank you!

Best VRBP Rental Ever!

Wow! Just Wow! We've used VRBO a number of times over the years, but I have to say this was the most welcoming, home-like stay we've had. From meeting Carolyn at the beginning as she walked us through the layout, to all the little things like half and half in the fridge, coffee, snacks, all the little toiletries...just amazing! We were looking for just a long weekend getaway to enjoy some time together along with our dog, Strider, but I can guarantee that we'll be back probably for a longer stay! Thank you SO much for a wonderful experience!

Great Weekend

We had a great time at Chuck and Carolyn rental property. This house was clean, well stocked, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed teaching our son how to play pool. There's a State park just a few miles away with great trails to take our pooch on a walk too.
