The Northport Bird House by River Run Park is a uniquely decorated home featuring lots and lots of birds. The Northport House is located right across the street from the new River Run Baseball Park facility in Northport and just five minutes from the University of Alabama Campus. This one of a kind home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and sleeps up to eight guests. This home is a day rental, meaning no one lives there, except folks like you that get to enjoy it for a few days at a time. You can walk in and it will be as if you are in your own home, with everything you need, feeling cozy, and wishing your stay was longer.

Located just blocks from historic downtown Northport, Alabama, The Northport House is the perfect home for guests who want their privacy and space. The Northport House has been completely remodeled and features an open floor plan with plenty of space for guests to relax. Big, flat screen TV's are in every room. The huge master suite includes a private bathroom, with a custom claw foot tub and shower. The guest bathroom has a double vanity, tub/shower and plenty of big, fluffy towels await you.

There is a fenced back yard, but we can't guarantee your dog won't escape if left unattended. A $200 non refundable pet fee will apply. One pet maximum.

The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cookware, silverware, glasses, dish towels, trash bags, and basics for cooking (salt, pepper, garlic salt, etc). Refinished original hardwood floors and new tile throughout the home. Every guest that has rented this house has been 100% satisfied. They loved it, and you will too!

Our family stayed here to drop our younger son off at Bama. The house was conveniently located to campus which was very helpful. Lovely house and close to everything you need, would stay here again.

The house is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of towels and comfortable beds! The location was perfect for our needs. Downtown Northport, just down the street, is charming. The University campus and downtown Tuscaloosa are very close as well. Would definitely stay here again. Host was a pleasure to work with.

Really enjoyed staying here for a trip to see a friend. The bath in the master bathroom was great! The house was very spacious and could accommodate a nice size group. I enjoyed the relaxing and stylish decorating. I recommend!

We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Northport home! It was spacious, well equipped, very clean, and beautifully decorated! The owner was wonderful to work with-prompt in answering questions, very welcoming (left lights on for us with burning candles), contacting us to see if we needed anything! Would recommend this house to anyone visiting Tuscaloosa!

The photos don’t do justice to the spaciousness of the house or the decor which gives a homey feel. The beds and living room furniture were very comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor space - the front porch swing and the seating by the carport. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and meal prep pans and utensils. The location is very convenient to UA, grocery stores, etc. The owner responded promptly to all contacts. We would definitely choose to stay here again and recommend it to others!

Wonderful Home & Owners!

Cannot say enough nice things about this property and its owners. The home was plenty spacious enough for us (2 parents, 2 grandparents, a 10-year old boy, 3 dogs, plus visiting relatives throughout our stay). The house was renovated nicely, with thoughtful touches throughout such as on-demand hot water heater, thick fluffy towels, large washer/dryer, one mattress with level adjustment & massage, extremely comfortable mattresses, 2 beds in kids' room, flat screen TVs everywhere, extra blankets/pillows, fenced yard for our dogs, covered parking, even coffee and water, plus spices and condiments in the fridge. The owners went above and beyond while we were there, making sure we had everything we needed and responding quickly when a smoke alarm falsely went off due to a low battery. They even came over to fix a few holes in the fence so our small dogs could not escape! My son enjoyed the rope swing (he said to please add a tire for next time - lol). The property is located very close to a small ball park, convenience store, tiny Mexican restaurant, the Tuscaloosa airport, and downtown Northport (visit City Café)! We always felt very safe and walked to several of these. Also short drive to Alabama campus where we enjoyed a football game and the Bear Bryant Museum. Thank you, Tammie, for everything while we escaped Hurricane Irma! We felt like we were in a home away from home!

We chose to rent the house due to overbooked hotels in the area for the weekend we came to visit. I wasn't sure what to expect from this house, but was so pleasantly surprised that I will not only stay again, but recommend with 4 stars to anyone that is interested in a similar experience. The house was very well kept, comfortable, close to campus, with lots of amenities. Thank you to the owners for such an offering.

Why they chose this property

The Northport House is in walking distance to the new River Run Park in Northport. It is also centrally located and just a few minutes from the U of A campus. There is a big back yard, with a fire pit, chairs and an outdoor grill.

What makes this property unique

This home has been completely remodeled and features all new appliances and furniture. The master suite offers a clawfoot tub/shower. The open concept is great for entertaining. It is close to the UA campus.
