Wonderful place to stay in Red Lodge

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed our stay at the Zimmerer house in Red Lodge. House was clean and just as described. Very convenient to downtown and in a nice location right on Rock Creek. House was well stocked with everything needed for a nice vacation stay (towels, dishes, washer, dryer, outdoor furniture, couple of bicycles, gas grill, fire pit). We used the gas grill and outdoor furnishings from the onsite storage shed - it was easy to take the furnishings out and put them back in the storage shed before leaving. The house has three nice size bedrooms and a large open living/dining/kitchen area. Great place for a family to vacation. Can’t wait to get back up to Red Lodge!

Clean cozy and quiet.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time here. The house was clean and cozy but lots of room for everyone to hang out and relax. The house is in a great location. It was quiet amd peaceful with the creek in back but close to every thing in town. W would definitely stay here again.

Right by the creek!

  • 5 of 5

It was perfect for our family with a baby. Able to walk into town and get back for a nap. A little fishing, sitting on deck listening to the creek. Watched the deer and turkeys walk by. House is comfortable with most of what we needed during our stay. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Would stay here again if in Red Lodge!

Casual and comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

The property was very comfortable for 6 people. The casual atmosphere was perfect for Red Lodge and the home was well-equipped. We enjoyed a class reunion and participated in the Climb for the Cure on Red Lodge Mountain.

Red Lodge Mountain is great for skiing and snowboarding in the winter, while having several hiking trails to enjoy throughout the nicer months. There are several great day trails and also extended backpacking trails to enjoy. There is a golf course right in town featuring many lakes and several creek crossings, with a signature island green on the back 9. Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary has several animals, most whom have been rescued, and definitely worth the trip (don't miss the bears). Just take a short, beautiful drive to Bearcreek to see pig races from the end of May until Labor Day weekend. Watch the pigs grow from the beginning until the end of the racing season. Drive 66 miles over the Beartooth Highway to Cook City Mt, just on the edge of Yellowstone National Park. Cooney Reservoir is 22 miles away where you can enjoy water skiing and many more water activities. Fly fish or kayak Rock Creek that flows right through the town of Red Lodge.

There are several fun bars within a 1/2 mile of the lodge. The Snow Creek is always a good time, usually featuring at least one band on the busy weekends. Blue Ribbon and Snag Bar also are worth checking out. A couple favorite restaurants are Carbon County Steakhouse and Foster and Logans, but there are several other good restaurants really close by. If you want to go Whitewater rafting it's a short drive over to Stillwater River. There is a lot of hunting close by with options of having horse guided trips. Climbers will enjoy the height and climb of Granite Peak. Ride your bike on the Beartooth Highway going to the what many refer to as the Top of the World. Yellowstone Nat Park NE entrance is aprx 70 miles. Old Faithful Lodge around 157 miles.
