Cedarwood Cabin - 3 Minute walk to the beach!

AIR CONDITIONING JUST ADDED!

Beautiful log cabin nestled in the woods between Silver Lake and Pentwater. Great family vacation site. We have deeded access to 750 feet of private association beach. While not directly on the waterfront, it's a very short 3 minute stroll to the stairs leading to our beautiful beach. (Google Maps show a 7 minute drive, but that is inaccurate!) We keep 4 plastic adirondack chairs on the beach all summer for your convenience. You can walk for miles north or south.
You'll find that our cabin is equipped with everything you'll need for an awesome family vacation: an outdoor firepit, gas grill, games, beach toys, Wi Fi access, a large flat screen TV with ROKU availability. We have a cozy screened in porch as well as 2 decks and a covered front porch complete with rocking chairs.
Ten minutes in your car will land you either at Silver Lake to the south or Pentwater to the north.
Pentwater Pathways are a short drive - beautiful groomed cross country ski trails in the winter and hiking/biking trails spring, summer and fall.
For a great biking experience the whole family can enjoy, visit the 22 mile paved Hart Montague Rail Trail.
We love spending time at our cottage - and we know you will too!

Weā€™ve made staying a week at Cedarwood Cabin and annual event. Itā€™s the best of both worlds- beach and cabin in the woods. We have a bigger dog, so finding a place that will take him WAS difficult. We found the perfect place!

Lovely, picturesque cabin. Very comfortable and spacious. Clean. Well appointed. Ample kitchen supplies, utensils and plates. Plenty of room for 5 adults and three dogs. Fire pit was ideal for a large group. A lovely place for family memories. Keeping in mind the 80 steps down and up the stairs to get to the beach.

Michigan trip

The only complaint would be, the couch was not very comfortable. Cushions flat from age and use. Other wise I loved the log cabin it was so cute very close th the beach and sand dunes. We could ride our bikes everywhere. I would stay there again.

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Cedarwood Cabin. It was great to be so close to the beach, Silver Lake and Pentwater. The cabin was beautiful and the area was nice and quiet. Great place to relax!

Fantastic visit!

The cabin is delightful - clean, spacious, well-appointed, inviting and quiet. The location is wonderful - and the walk to the stairs to the beach is less than 1 minute. The fall colors were stunning and we enjoyed time around the outdoor campfire both nights. The house has lots of games and the kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, pans and a dishwasher! We had a wonderful visit and will come back again!

Awesome location

Cabin was beautiful and better than the pictures. It has both the feeling of a forest cabin and a beach house. The water is well water and definitely would not drink the tap water.

Slice of Heaven

We stayed for a week. Myself, my mother and four teens. It was amazing. Great firepit! The cabin was clean and cozy. There were enough places though where if everyone needed space we could be alone. The beach is fantastic. Thereā€™s a lot of steps down. There is a newer staircase down Lakeshore drive. Turn left and walk past the end of the road. Itā€™ll be on the left it has more landings and is easier for the older crowd to manage.

Great Getaway

If youā€™re looking for a great getaway only a short walk from Lake Michigan, this place is it. We like to vacation with our dog, so choices are limited when looking to rent. This place was great for us and the dog. Nice cozy cabin in the woods just minutes away from Silver Lake and Pentwater. The only thing missing was the bald-headed bear (Great Outdoors reference). Look forward to returning in the years to come.

Beautiful Lake Michigan

The home is just as described except the furniture is very outdated (uncomfortable). We had a great time, the beach was as described....beautiful. Could not ask for better weather. If furniture is not the concern of your stay this is the place for you. The home is well stocked with spices, condiments, paper and plastic products.

Beach Vacation

The property was just as described. Very nice. Most everything that would be needed was provided. The host was very nice and easy to reach. There were 80-some steps down to the beach, which made it a little hard to carry stuff down, however, once at the beach, well worth the effort. The neighborhood was quiet and nice to walk and the cottage it self was in good proximately to area attractions Really nice place, would rent again.

If you like a clean updated place to stay look elsewhere. Really bad furniture & mattresses.

We left a whole day/night early. The owner was made aware I wasnā€™t happy with the cleanliness soon after arrival. Furniture is something youā€™d see at the side of the road. Mattresses were not comfortable. Grill was very dirty, we just closed the lid without using. Bring your own water the water smells very bad. The positives-Property felt safe location wise. It is set up nicely for kids with a bathroom & two bedrooms upstairs. It was a short walk to the lake. We walked further down to the park access to go down to the lake. It was not far. Check in & check out was quick & easy.

A Wonderful Oasis in Mears, Michigan

Our family spent 2 weeks in this beautiful log home that is a short walk to the beach. The home was immaculately clean and comfortable. We packed for nothing. As someone who likes to cook, I appreciated the well stocked kitchen. The beds and linens were top quality. We enjoyed the outdoor space and porch area. We would highly recommend this vacation home to anyone wanting easy access to the beautiful beach along Lake Michigan. The host was responsive and thought of everything to make our visit special and relaxing.

Perfect location & better than photos look!

We had a great stay at the cedar wood cabin. We had 4 adults and 4 kids who all slept in the bunk bed room. It was plenty of space. The outdoor space is awesome for cooking out and bonfires. Having Lake Michigan a very short walk alway was awesome, but like most said the water is high right now. We didn't mind at all. The cabin is clean and very well equipped, we appreciated every little detail. Loved being about 10 minutes from Pentwater and less than that to Silver Lake dunes. So glad we found this place! Thank you!

Just an incredible place to stay. Everything need3d was provided. The house is quiet, warm (awesome fireplace), comfortable and just a 100 yard walk to the stairs to Lake Michigan with a gracious and courteous host to boot. We have stayed in many places on VRBO, this is hands down the most prepared house we have ever stayed in. We didnā€™t need to bring or buy a thing. Thank you again, we plan to rent this place again soon.
