It was easy from the start with great communication from the staff. The room was very nice and in a perfect location close to the Provenza. The staff were very attentive and communicated everyday to see if any services were required. I would certainly recommend this VRBO rental and will use them again in the future. Darrell USA

This was my second visit to Medellin and my first visit and stay at Casa del Reloj, I really enjoyed my stay and I would definitely stay again and I look forward to staying again. The location is perfect, the staff were always helpful in every way and the suite was perfect. I enjoyed every aspect. It was perfect. The only thing that I would of liked was to have a larger fridge/freezer, the small fridge was enough for a few items but no freezer space to keep ice. That's my only "complaint" but I make it work so all is good. I cant wait to be back. I enjoyed my stay very much!!

Best location in El Poblado, Parque LLeras

I stayed here with my girlfriend after meeting the owner on a walk by and getting a tour of this most interesting and unique new apartment. John-Paul explained to us the details of the custom made furnishings, original antiques integrated into the artwork throughout this brand new colonial modern style house with the clock. The Principito suite is very spacious with two large windows overlooking the "quebrada" or brook. the large bedroom was great for relaxing and watching some USA Direct TV style channels. Since I was also working away from home on this trip, I was really pleased with the 35-45 Mbps download speeds I was able to get on my laptop while working at the built in desk/work station area. Lots of ceiling lamps, desk lights, reading lights and extra outlets all over the place make this an excellent and well thought out design. The owner also explained how the beds were custom made, with 4" larger than typical Colombian beds. That works out great for my 6'2" height. Nice, firm and comfortable for a great sleep. Total black out windows too, thanks to the double pane, sound reducing glass windows along with the colonial style wood shutters. The apartment includes a kitchen. For our purposes we just took advantage of the refrigerator and the microwave as there is fantastic international cuisine within 5 minutes walking distance in almost all directions. I've stayed in other places before in Medellin, this is by far and away the best!

Luxury, colonial charm, close-by shops and nightlife...

This was my first trip to Medellin. I went in rather blindly, only being told to consider staying in the El Poblado section of Medellin. I liked what I saw from Casa Del Reloj so I booked. I was using VRBO and whatsapp to converse with them prior to my arrival, and VRBO had an issue with the date of booking and how it corresponded to my arrival date and time, and I was exchanging messages with the manager and apparently the owner of Casa Del Reloj monitors the messages and actually reached out to me himself to let me know that they could accommodate my irregular booking needs. That was the first of what turned out to be nothing but pleasant, attentive and fantastic guest/client service. First of all, the building is absolutely beautiful, both inside and outside. It's amazing that a modern building with all of the amenities (that actually work perfectly, ie., WIFI, air conditioning, hot water, etc.) has such architectural colonial charm. I could not have possibly been more comfortable. The bed, the furniture, the bathroom, the living room and kitchen; Everything really seems designed by someone who actually put themselves in the shoes of the future guests to ensure comfort and convenience. Regarding the staff: 1. They were immediately responsive to anything. 2. They were efficient.3. They were professional. 4. I got a pleasant text from the property manager every day around mid-morning asking me if I wanted house keeping today. Besides this text, they left me in my privacy unless I contacted them. 5. One thing that stood out was not only how efficient and professional they all were; The office staff, the maintenance workers, the housekeeping; They all also smiled all of the time... and it was authentic. They seem to truly enjoy working at Casa Del Reloj, which says so much for the conduct of the owner. The neighborhood that Casa Del Reloj is in is absolutely stunning, fun and lively, yet the "action" is not right outside of Casa Del Reloj, rather, it is down the street and also in streets past, so it is extremely quiet at Casa Del Reloj, yet you don't even have to walk twenty seconds away to be right in front of some of the best restaurants, shops and nightlife that Medellin has to offer. Finally, I was inspired and surprised by how clean and safe all of Medellin and the neighborhood that Casa Del Reloj is in. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I felt safer in Medellin than I do in most parts of most cities in the United States! Gracias!

Convenient neighborhood and great staff

First of all, I'd like to thank the whole staff at Casa del Reloj. Especially, Ivan, who had contacted me a few times prior to my arrival. He also arranged a driver(Luis) to pick me up at the airport. I stayed in the small apartment(El Principito) and it was very clean with all the amenities that were described on the website. The location is in the middle of many restaurants, bars and cafes, including nightlife if you wish to go out late. I would recommend Casa del Reloj to family and friends.

Great Neighbourhood

Nice, fully equipped one bedroom apartment in a vibrant café/bar neighbourhood, but on a traffic-busy corner. With bedroom doors shut, no noise problem for sleeping though. Fairly close to the Metro and very close to parks and a myriad of restaurants and bars. Rating for cleanliness would have been a 5 except for the dust from ongoing construction on the corner streets.

Wonderful Place!

So many positives, where to start? First, beautiful place, unique decor, warm, large living room. Unbelievable location! Walk to great restaurants going one way, the center of El Poblado the other and 1 short block to the grocery store. But of all the amenities, the best part are the young women available throughout the day. Friendly, warm, great suggestions for restaurants and made all the arrangements for our day trip! Can't say enough about Johana.

Very nice everything you could want at a resonable price

I stayed here for the first time. It was a great accommodations . All the conveniences that you could want. The staff was nice. The owner took the time to introduce himself. I would definitely stay here again. One thing I would have requested is the refrigerator to be stocked with water, juice, beer and soda. I didn't have time to shop. It would have been a blessing to have some of these refreshments in the room late at night when I got back from exploring Medellin.

First of all I found the place to be clean, comfortable and secure. The neighborhood was great with many places to eat, stroll and people watch. The staff was friendly & communicative when needed. I would definitely choose to stay here again. A conveniences I wish they offered was the option for the apartment refrigerator to be stocked with beverages, water, beer, juice and ice. Based upon my knowledge as an experience traveler, I think the quality and value of the residence equates with the price and services.

I love everything about Casa del Reloj; from friendly and always available staff (Damaris and Johana), location, cleanliness, room condition and great price. What I loved the most, is they made you feel like at home. I went to Medellin for the first time in my life this past April, not knowing anybody and not knowing what to do. When I got to Casa del Reloj, they helped me find transportation and a great tour guide (his name is Andre's and he is amazing. Definately suggest you ask for him when you get there because he is very affordable and will definately make sure you have great time). Also, I had to check out late, and by late I mean stay extra 8 hours and Casa del Roloj staff was so kind that they offered me to stay at NO extra charge. I travel a lot and I never received this type of service. I had a great time in Medellin, thanks to Casa del Roloj staff and because of the experience I had, I decided to come back to Medellin 2 weeks later. If you are living in New York, it is much cheaper and easier to go to Medellin then west coast. I would strongly encourage and suggest that you pick Casa del Reloj if you are thinking about traveling to Colombia. Thanks Dusan

Can't go wrong!

As advertised. Units are beautiful and the location in El Poblado is convienent. Restaurants, nightlife and stores are in short walking distance. Santafe mall is a $3 taxi ride away. Rooms had air-conditioning, satellite TV with English channels, iron w/board and a safe. I am 6'5 and the bed was great. John Paul was great and very helpful. After I checked in around 11pm local time he was litteraly walking around the neighborhood with me and another couple showing us where things where. If you want to party in your unit, this is not the place for you. No loud music or noise is prohihibited. I will stay here again!

I love this place!

I had the pleasure to stay at El Pablado for a week. My accommodations were excellent, having very large rooms with comfort and style. I absolutely love the style of the entire building exterior and interior design. The building being completely remodeled to capture an older time period but also includes all the modern conveniences of today. The area of town was incredible with sidewalk cafes', shops, conveinence stores, all within walking distance of El Pablado. The area was safe and people were very friendly. Staying at El Pablado was an extremely pleasant experience, one that I am happy to share in this review. If you have the opportunity to go to Medellin this is the place to stay!
