Lägenheten för denna lägenhet är verkligen på den främsta platsen på halvön, The Balboa Village. Den aktiva cykelvägen som sträcker sig över hela Balboa-halvön ligger precis utanför din lägenhet. The property was wonderful! Clean, comfortable, close to the beach, and just what we wanted. Lots of towels provided, and the beds were comfortable. There was some confusion getting into the property when we first arrived because we had no key, and the only way in was to get the key that was inside the apartment itself, but we couldn't get into the apartment without the key. We just got lucky that a stranger saw us standing around outside and let us in. There were a couple of other little issues like all of the controls on the stove have been rubbed off, so we couldn't tell what dial went to what burner or how hot the burner was. Also the cooking pots didn't have lids that matched, and the gas tank to the grill outside looked like it was in bad shape so we didn't use it. But otherwise, the property was perfect for our needs! We loved the reserved parking spaces in the covered garage. That was a big plus. Great place! We would definitely come back every year.

Great Location

The unit is in a great location to base your time out off, lots of restaurant options within walking distance. Only downside is the late evening and early morning noise level from the beach parking lot located between the complex and the beach.

Absolutely wonderful property!

The property was very clean. The pictures in the listing were accurate. The location was great for setting and getting to the beach. We are planning on returning to Newport Beach and hope that this property is available.

The perfect spot

Beautiful property, situated in the perfect spot on the Pennisula. The week was spent biking on the boardwalk, made easy by the secure garage. The condo itself was comfortable, and had all the needed amenities. The wifi was great throughout the unit. All the way around a nice place to stay.

A great winter get away.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived early but there was plenty to do to pass the time. The condo was very clean and had all we needed to make us comfortable for the week. the parking garage and court yard are secure so we as out of towners felt very safe. The condo is located on the ocean side of the peninsula and within walking distance of the Balboa Island Ferry, Whale watching and other sea excursions and rentals, Balboa pier, amusements, restaurants and bars, liquor stores and some basic groceries if needed. There are many large department and grocery stores within 10 miles so getting provisions won't take a lot from your leisure time. there is plenty of beach right across the parking lot and if you feel energetic, it's less than two miles down the beach from Newport pier and all the activities there. The January weather was kind to us with 70 degree days and cool nights. overall it was a great adventure.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place overlooks a very busy beach parking lot that is open 24/7. Expect car alarms all night long because people car too stupid to lock their cars without setting off the alarm. If you ae a racing fan you will love the cars doing donuts nightly at 3 am. You will also enjoy the constant waves of marijuana smoke. In fact the entire area smells like urine and stale weed, kind of like the rest of the state. Homeless everywhere, what's not to like? The streetsweeper in the parking lot every morning at 6 am was special. The homeless living in their cars, very special. As for the unit, it has been a rental for some time and shows it. Furniture very uncomfortable. In all fairness, kitchen was well equipped. I grew up in this area but it has declined. Never returning.

Balboa Condo

First impression:It was a very pleasant property. Decor was nice. Location was good. Just felt not enough care was taken regarding cleanliness. It's one thing to have people remove bedding and bathroom towels and put by front door when this property was pricey...This is not expected at hotels etc...Nonetheless the mattress pads don't look as if they'd been laundered in a while and the bedspread in the primary bedroom was dirty. The mattress in the couch in the living room was stained and no mattress pad provided to cover.General housekeeping was lacking in the kitchen area as well. Cabinets were greasy.Cobwebs on cabinet top over island area leading out ot dining area..The cooking pans were in terrible shape.We didn't want to cook in them. Also, the sink in the primary bathroom did not drain well.Thank you This survey doesn't need to be published....just more care needs to be taken as far as cleanliness more of an FYI

Great location, Comfy place, easy process

Loved location and how close to beach - wasn’t sure how I felt being across parking lot but so easy to beach and had view of water. Having 3 parking spots was great -wish there was more of a balcony - 2 seater with not particularly comfortable chairs but the price was right. Very easy to check in and out. Would rent again for short stay.
