Great Porto getaway

Ariana hosts a lovely flat, rustic, yet well appointed. Close to the mouth of River Duro, short Uber or tram to downtown Porto. Neighborhood is quiet with great walking opportunities to nearby shopping and restaurants.

Ariana is extremely responsive and checked in frequently throughout our stay to ensure our trip was running smoothly. We loved the accommodation - very quaint, lovely decor and cute. The backyard was nice to do a quick load of laundry. We had one odd man walk by and comment to us but overall a safe neighbor with dog walkers, children, etc.

Ariana went above and beyond for us. She gave great suggestions and was available whenever we needed her. The property was very nice, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately it was raining when we were there and we didn't get to use the outdoor space. We would return in a heartbeat and plan to do so next time we return to Porto.

Lovely charming place

Super clean great introduction by owner. Close to town we walked it but bus 500 is easy to take too. Found it quiet and very comfortable. Also great sea walk all along the beach. Love it!

Well appointed apartment

This is an ancient property that is well restored or updated. It has everything we needed. We love the area of Foz. Ariana is a great host and was super helpful in areas of restaurant recommendations, transport and very willing to communicate with you at any time through WhatsApp. She did point out that there is street noise from autos traveling over cobblestone streets, which is true. We have found the noise a common issue with all the old downtown properties we’ve rented in Germany, Italy, Belgium. It’s part of the reality of in-city living.

Our stay in Foz

Traffic was sometimes noisy. Location had easy access to transportation. Several restaurants near by and close to the river and ocean.

Great neighborhood location

Our place was located in a great little area giving us a feel for the real Porto. Lots of character, close to transit and fine restaurants. Arianna, the landlord, was most gracious. the apartment was simple, but clean and suited our needs nicely. Good positive experience all around.

Characterful ground floor flat with small terrace and access to attractive courtyard garden

Lovely conversion with traditional Portuguese character and some stylish personal touches. Facilities faily basic but everything works well, including a humidifier which takes the chill out of occasioal seamists. The proprietor Ariana has a real interest in making her guests feel comfortable in appealing surroundings. The setting is quite villagey in character and well placed for the 500 bus along the bank of the Douro into central Porto. A delightful park nearby on the mouth of the Douro, and Atlantic beaches within easy walking distance.

Tolle Lage, nette Wohnung, viel zu laut

Super nette Inhaberin, alles perfekt geklappt, das Apartment sehr sauber, tolle Lage und toll eingerichtet,aber nur drei Sterne,da sich das Schlafzimmer direkt an der Gassenstrasse befindet sowie die im ersten Stock vermietete Wohnung durch Holzboden sehr laut ist. Gleichzeitig läuft durch extrem feuchte Luft permanent ein Trocknungsgerät geräuschvoll. Beides war mir nicht bekannt, dann hätte ich es nicht gemietet. Nur für laut-unempflndliche Urlauber zu empfehlen.

The beach and the river are within spitting distance (2 min. walking) and the historical city centre (just 15-20 min. away). Enjoy one of the great restaurants in the neighbourhood. Wander in the intricate cobblestone streets with small town flavour. Jog or bike along the scenic waterfront. Have a swim or head for a surfing adventure in the beach. Take a romantic stroll in the 19th century Passeio Alegre park. Visit an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Serralves and explore its wonderful gardens...
- COMFORT & COSYNESS: only by securing my guests' comfort I can make sure that their stay as much agreeable as possible. The interior décor were designed to create a warm and cosy atmosphere and there was also a clear focus in logistical terms in order to achieve this comfort and cosyness, despite the apartment being located in a century-old building (wide and comfy beds, 4 pillows per bed, hair dryer and free toiletries, etc).
- AESTHETICAL: this dwelling is a homage to design as the interiors display unique an elegance and sophisticated décor.
- THE TERRACE & THE BACKYARD: the outdoor areas are perfect to relax and sunbathe. The terrace is exclusive for the apartment and the backyard is exclusive for all my guests' use only;
