Great spot to stay in Porto

We loved the area so close to ocean and a short bus ride, cab or tram to the center of historic Porto. Nearby restaurants were great and our hosts were so helpful and friendly.

Wonderful location, lovely little studio apartment - very clean. Small, but sufficient for my husband and me. The hostess, Andreia, was so kind and attentive and available for whatever questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely town of Voz! The beaches, restaurants and shops and proximity to Porto were all wonderful!

Porto Foz

Lovely apartment with everything we needed. Very close to the beach, cafe’s and restaurants. Bus stop close by for short journey to city centre. Andreia welcomed us to the apartment and was very helpful with local knowledge and available for information during our stay, if needed.

Cozy apartment super close to the beaches

Andreia welcomed us directly at the apartment and helped us with parking. The apartement was small but super cozy and had everything you need! You find several bus stations, restaurants and a supermarket around the corner. To the beach you walk only 5 minutes max. We recommend it a lot!

Cozy and clean about a block from the beach!

Andreia met us at the property and she was awesome. She gave us lots of places and things to check out. The apartment has everything you would want and we had a nice bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. The location is great near the beach and there are lots of restaurants and shops/grocery stores within walking distance. The 500 bus will take you right downtown (or it’s a cheap Uber ride). If you go the opposite way the bus will take you to a fish market where you can choose a freshly caught fish and one of the restaurants will cook it for you to your liking! We had many Sangrias at the beach bar nearby right on the water and watched the sunset (Paris de Luz I think it was called). We would highly recommend this apartment and Andreia is a first class host!

Fabulous location, cute place

We loved our stay here in Foz. The location was great for accessing the ocean and beachfront restaurants. Andreia could not have been more helpful in directing us to restaurants and helping us access the bus right down the street. Taking the 500 bus to the city center was easy for 2.50 Euros /person if you buy your tickets from the driver. ( less if you buy ahead at the newspaper stand). You can also take a.Bolt ride share for 6-8 Euros. The trip is 20 min. We were happy to be by the water and take the trip into central Porto when we wanted to. The three hour city walking tour was great on our first day. The big fluffy towels were a real treat! Andreia was a gem, available even when she was traveling to answer questions and give us guidance.

Fabulous host!

Andreia was so communictive and helpful during our stay. She met us at the apartment when we arrived to show us where everything was and offered some suggestions on things to do. She reached out to check in the next morning and always responded quickly to my messages. I mentioned wanting to see a Fado show, and she sent me a suggestion and a link within a few minutes. Very kind and helpful! She also anticipated our needs with the apartment. She went out of her way to provide things like laundry detergent so we didn't have to buy any. The bed was really comfortable, the apartment was quiet, and the towels were the fluffiest! I'd definitely stay here again!

Perfect space, location and excellent communication!

What an amazing stay in Foz do Douro at Andreia and Riccardo's studio, just a quick 2 minute walk to the beach! The studio was very well-appointed and clean, everything you need for a stay in the Porto area. I was able to enjoy the courtyard off the kitchen every morning and evening to chill with coffee and wine, and also made full use of the kitchen to make some pasta and fresh lamb meatballs! The studio is surrounded by shops, markets, wine shops, plenty to keep you busy while taking in the beauty of the Douro River. Porto and Gaia are walkable or a short Uber ride with amazing views on both sides of the river. The best thing about the trip, however, was my daily text chain with Andreia. She was such a gracious host and guided me through the city with lots of suggestions for restaurants, sites and events. My next trip to Portugal will absolutely include a stay at this studio!

Outstanding!

The hosts, Andreia & Ricardo, were always available and made me feel right at home. Andreia met me at the building and walked me through to the front door of where I would be staying. The main door of the building is coded to each individual apt in the building. I felt very safe. She stressed that it was now my home throughout my stay and even asked if shoes were on or off as we walked into the apt. The location is perfectly situated almost just across the street from the beach (3 min walk) with grocery stores, cafes, clothing shops, bars & restaurants all with a five minute walk. All the restaurants were delicious and above expectations. Everything I could need, I stayed for 10 days, from laundry detergent to coffee was supplied. I did not rent a vehicle and nor did I need one with everything so close. But when I wanted to venture into Porto, an Uber was always close by and affordable. I have to reiterate, this location is perfect! When I come back to Foz, I will definitely stay here again! Thank you so much Andreia & Ricardo!

Der Vermieter war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, wir durften sogar etwas früher die Wohnung beziehen. Allerdings musste man immer die Rollos unten lassen da immer Leute direkt am Fenster vorbeilaufen. Nachts konnte man das Fenster nur kippen. Ein komplettes öffnen der Fenster war nicht möglich da die Leute am Zimmer direkt vorbei gehen. Die Stauraum für Klamotten für zwei Person war sehr begrenzt. Privatsphäre auf der Terrasse nicht möglich.

Dear Martin, We’re sorry your stay didn’t fully meet your expectations, but we’d like to clarify a few points for future guests. The apartment is a ground-floor studio in Foz Velha, a quiet, charming area with narrow, low-traffic streets. As the photos show, the street has bollards that prevent parking and limit pedestrian traffic near the windows. The four full-height glass doors open fully or in tilt mode, ensuring light and ventilation. Being on the ground floor, it isn’t advisable to sleep with the doors wide open, so the secure tilt system provides safe airflow. The apartment also has air conditioning, very helpful during the unusually hot days of your stay, when Porto reached 91 °F (33 °C). The terrace is a private interior space, as pictured, adjacent to the terraces of the two neighbouring apartments, typical of historic buildings in this area.
