Este nivel se extiende a un gran porche con parrilla, mesa y asientos Weber para 6 personas.

El nivel del lago ofrece un dormitorio con un porche envolvente, entrada privada, cama queen size y espectacular vista al agua. Este nivel sirve como un punto de reunión adicional para el Oasis con chimenea de gas, sala de juegos, barra grande, ¾ baño y capacidad audiovisual con pantalla grande, televisión de alta definición y sonido envolvente 5. 1.

Todo esto está rodeado por un patio ajardinado completo con muelle privado y círculo de fuego. Los huéspedes están invitados a utilizar la casa Rowboat para 4 o Hobie kayak para 2 con kit de navegación. Para mayor comodidad, esta propiedad ofrece aire acondicionado central, generador de emergencia de pedestal para toda la casa y estacionamiento fuera de la calle para 4 vehículos.

The Oasis es una propiedad de cuatro estaciones que ofrece color de follaje en el otoño, esquí a través del condado, pesca en hielo en el lago durante el invierno y millas de senderos móviles de nieve en el área recreativa Island Lake de 4.000 acres. If you're looking for a charming, clean & comfortable place with beautiful lake views, this is it. The owner is great & contacts quickly if have questions or need something. State park in walking distance is wonderful. Would stay again for sure.

The house is on well water which in Michigan means sulpher. It has a softener system but with all of the flooding the sulpher level changes so I turned it up. Thanks!

Unpleasant experience

No Standard TV service, no place to put clothing, etc. Drawers, closet filled with owners things. Half eaten plate of food left in refrigerator. Owner sent cleaning person in the day before departure. When I objected, owner called me and told me that I had one hour to get out of his house or he would come with the police. This was the only contact that I had with him other than email. I asked for a day's rental rebate because he threw me out and he has not complied.

This exceedingly rude guest cursed at my underage son using the “F” word and hung up on him while attempting to explain to how to use the television over the telephone. That was within the first 24 hours of his stay. I attributed this to travel fatigue. However, a few days following this event this guest rudely refused entry to my cleaning crew into the house, which is part of my established and agreed upon rental agreement. He did this without contacting me. My property is where ladies and gentleman serve ladies and gentleman. Cursing at my son, hanging up on him while he is trying to problem solve, and disrespecting those that I employ is not permitted. So, yes I evicted him. And yes, upon his refusal to leave I utilized law enforcement, which is necessary, legal, for his protection as well as mine, and advised by VRBO. Of note, this property listing clearly states at times I may have personal possessions in certain areas. It is my house. Regarding the food in the refrigerator my cleaning service cleans the refrigerator, and this concern was never brought forward until now. And yes, I kept his nightly fee but returned his security deposit. The reason for this is I still have to pay them for that day- and actually had to pay them twice as they had to return the next day. This is part of any standard commercial cleaning service.

Difficult Property Owner

We booked a two month stay here while our daughter received medical treatments in Brighton. There were odd issues the first day: a lot of personal items left in the house, open toothpaste, used toothbrush and other bathroom items, food in the refrigerator, a freezer filled with bags of fish, underwear and other clothing in the dresser, a dirty robe in the closet. It was weird, but we decided to ignore it. The house was “recently remodeled” and is definitely a DIY project. Initially the owner was fairly easy to work with, although he did email my personal email asking me to call VRBO for him because he said they weren’t releasing his funds, which seemed inappropriate, but again, we just went with it. Our treatments were cancelled because of COVID-19 and we needed to leave three days early. The owner said he would refund us after he figured out the daily rate. He then became very uncommunicative. We took care of all cleaning while we were there. My husband repaired the stove for him and we also replaced ceiling tiles because the overflow was improperly installed in the tub and water leaked through the ceiling. We informed the owner of this immediately and he said he’s had many issues with the tub and he would just make an insurance claim (he made us buy a policy for our stay). He said he would reimburse us for the ceiling tiles, but hasn’t, which we bought because it seemed suspicious to want to make an insurance claim for two ceiling tiles. After our stay, he made a false claim to the insurance company to get a new cordless dyson vacuum claiming we damaged it. Absolutely untrue. The vacuum was left in the working condition that we found it in. We followed the checkout guide to get a small refund by washing and drying our bedding. The owner has not reimbursed us for any of this. He has been very difficult to work with since we left, claiming that since vrbo reimbursed their service fees, he can’t help us, even though service fees are separate from daily rates. At this point he has stopped responding. Initially I did not plan on disclosing any complaints about our stay, I figured why bother, it was only temporary, but he has been awful to work with and I would not want anyone else to have to go through this.

About asking for the rent. VBRO did not pay me due to Covid for 3 weeks while they lived in my house. Yep- I asked them for the rent. That’s business. VBRO told me I could evict them. I did not for their daughter. The ceiling tiles were their responsibility due to overflowing the jacuzzi tub. As it was just rebuilt as stated in the advertisement how could there have been prior problems? Clothes in the house? No one lives there and it was just remodeled. They were the first guests. A robe. Yep. For the jacuzzi tub for Use by guests. About the refund... The renter stayed in the house for two months and left two days early. And.... They then wanted a refund. What? They did get $482 refund due to Covid from VBRO- which I sent the renter the e-mail payment validation from VBRO. They got it. However, they wanted an additional refund from me after staying 2 months? They stuck me with the utilities.... which they agreed to pay. Following they hounded me about a security deposit refund. VBRO refunds that- I don’t. VBRO posted on their website that due to Covid deposit returns take 3-4 weeks. After 15 e-mails I did stop responding. My wife called VBRO and said we were being harassed. There isn’t much to say. About the $25 refund for washing the sheets; I asked the renter for her Zelle or PayPal account. She never responded. About the vacuum. Somebody broke it and I wasn’t there so I know it wasn’t me. I could have kept the deposit for this but didn’t as I figured they are facing financial hardship. I did this for the kid. I believe in giving back. In closing, VBRO makes all renters buy an insurance policy. It’s a very nice house- so I require it. All in all, take this review for what it’s worth, and remember the source.

Ann Arbor Trip

Stayed here on a Thanksgiving family trip visit with our child who is at University of Michigan. Very cozy stay, great for 4-5 people, a couple areas to hang out as a family or have some private time. The house was very clean, sitting right on the lake and kitchen big enough to manage a medium size Thanksgiving meal. We had a couple of very minor issues and Ed responded immediately. A little convenience store with nice wine selection is within medium walking distance (and the folks there treated me like family) and Kroger is 5 mins away. It was a about 25 mins into Ann Arbor so not too bad. We had a great stay.

Perfect weekend getaway

What a beautiful vacation rental property! Amazing Lake views from front and back of home, ample space within and a walk-out basement with cozy fireplace provided a peaceful and warm feel of contentment at it’s best. Welcoming restaurant/bar on the corner within walking distance proved great with friendly staff and good service. A short 20 min drive to downtown AnnArbor was a huge bonus as well. Would highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting Michigan.

Perfect Location & Relaxing Stay

We were visiting for my husband's Class Reunion being held over in Novi. It ended up being the perfect location for us. House is very comfortable and quiet. Waking up to sunrise over the lake was great! Other than the Reunion we stayed put at the house because we had our large dog with us and even he was very relaxed after a few days there. It was gray skies and rainy almost the entire time so we snuggled up with blankets and a fire in the lower floor and enjoyed streaming on the large TV. I saw a few mentions in reviews before I booked that I'll address. Yes, there was a dog outside next door, but it was friendly (even to our 85 lb big dog) and it never barked at all. We had no problems with it. Also, the neighbors that we met were very nice. We had a great stay and appreciate you opening up your lake home.

Not what it appears

The photos of this property are very deceiving! It’s small and covered in cobwebs, dirt and dead plants outside. There’s one, non-working tv in the tiny basement, and the deck is horrible in every way. Not to mention, the fetid-looking lake water and the interesting neighbors, including the giant, barking dog. I could not let my family endure one night there. We went to a hotel.

Per your report to me you left for a family emergency- there were no concerns. If there were concerns expressed I could have addressed them. The house has 2 TVs- all work- there is no dog.

Great Lake house

Took our three young kids for a weekend away- it was great, we fished off the dock and could catch plenty of fish. Island lake rec area is a nice beach close by.

Up North w/out the drive!

Nice large house right on lake with great fishing. Small market within walking distance if you don’t feel like driving much. My son also frequented the second hand store / fishing gear place on the corner. Real nice people to help kids catch fish. The decks are wonderful and complete with nice Weber gas grill and smoker. (I’d ask cleaners to keep up on the decks a little better.) Enough yard to throw a frisbee. There’s plenty of space of you get stuck inside. Dart board was fun. Kitchen has all the basics and then some. Bedrooms are on 3 separate floors, so may not be great for younger kids that need to be close by, but ideal for extra privacy. Owner was prompt answering questions. Hope to stay again next year.

overall good visit

The views from the deck were really nice, but it looked like it had not been swept off very recently. All the beds were very comfortable. As another reviewer mentioned, the water smells very strongly of sulfur, so we purchased bottled water to drink during our stay. It was sort of weird when my mother went to the grocery store and the car was gone from the driveway the owner brought two people by the outside of the house to look around. When I went outside they said they thought no one was home. There are cameras in the driveway and I think he was monitoring our comings/goings. A message to let us know that they would be stopping by would have been appreciated, whether we were at the property or not. Overall enjoyed the stay.

There is a misunderstanding here. I reside across the state. Whoever visited the property while you were there was not me. I would like to know who it was., I wish you would have called me. Yes- I have cameras- as disclosed and security. I have no interest in anyone’s comings or going’s.

Beautiful house!

Beautiful property!! House is big ,great views of the lake from every room,kitchen stocked,every thing you need. Loved cuddling on the couch watching a movie on the huge tv,fireplace set the mood,very romantic! Fishing was amazing, one after another right from shore,big bluegill, cant wait to stay again.book and enjoy!!

Great Lake Retreat

We really enjoyed this property. Has everything you need in a great location with nice views of the lake. Quiet neighborhood, easy to find and close to plenty of shopping and restaurants. Communication was prompt with the owner who was very nice and easy to deal with. Just wish we stayed longer and the weather was a bit warmer to use the lake.

Cozy house

My family of four had a very comfortable stay while our house was being renovated. The house had everything we needed and more! The extras like laundry detergent, spices and condiments, books and playing cards, etc. made us feel right at home. It was cold and rainy the week we were there, but we loved looking out at the water from every window. Thank you for a great stay!

Wonderful view and such a peaceful setting!

We truly enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again. I would have preferred a paddle boat verses the kayak and canoe, but we still enjoyed the sunset from the canoe.
