Come relax at the Paddle Inn on all sports Thompson Lake. Connected to the lake by backyard canal. Neighborhood swans routinely swim by and nest in the yard. Fishing is great, kayaks available. New Blackstone grill out back. Relax and enjoy Lake Thompson, while still being close to downtown Howell.

Close to vibrant restaurants and cafes in downtown Howell, well known for festivals, food trucks, Sunday farmers market, Tanger Outlet Mall. Parks, trails & skiing nearby, including Scofield Park. Community events and festivals in town are year round. This area always has something fun to do!

We absolutely love everything this house has to offer. This is our second year staying here for a ladies weekend and we just can’t say enough about how cozy and welcoming everything is. Melinda is very responsive. We couldn’t be happier!

Short stay, and kitchen was adquate for our breakfast needs.First floor bedrooms and bathroom door were very hard to fully close. Door is too tight in rhe door casing.

The inside is very clean and the owner is very receptive to needs. The yard and back deck need work and weeding. The back deck is spacious but uncovered and the afternoon and evening sun make it essentially unusable.

Neighborhood peaceful. Love backyard to sit outside. We seen lots of different wildlife. Enjoyed the spacious house. My son enjoyed the fact he had a TV in his room and the choices he had on the TV. We enjoyed the spacious living room. We had everything in the spacious kitchen to cook our meals. The bathrooms were spacious and had everything we needed. Even had a great washer and dryer. The only thing was the ceiling fan in living room was not working. We really enjoyed this house and made our vacation very enjoyable. We will be staying here again.

Spacious, great location

We enjoyed our time in this house. Each day we commuted to Ann Arbor for sporting events for our kids. It contained all the amenities for our stay. There are separate living areas. I used the loft space upstairs as a workspace. The kitchen was well stocked, we used the grill, coffee maker and washer and dryer. We had 4 teens with us and there was plenty of room. One of the bedrooms had bunkbeds, a trundle bed and an air mattress. The kids made use of the kayaks and the location provided easy access to Thompson Lake. The Neighborhood is quiet and perfect for morning runs. We referred to this house as our retreat and would highly recommend this location. The host communicated with us and the directions were easy to follow.

Great Family Weekend

We were in town meeting family for a wedding and this was the perfect home base. It is close to many stores and restaurants and by the lake, yet it is on a very quiet cul de sac. The layout is wonderful, you never feel crowded, with two living areas one downstairs and one upstairs to use. The interior is updated, very relaxing and extremely clean. The host was so friendly and even warned us when there was going to be bad weather coming in one night. We enjoyed kayaking down the canal to the lake more than once. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we’re in the area!

Clean, comfortable and convenient

Really nice layout inside the house, was perfect for us. We had a busy weekend planned, and so we didn’t have time to spend outdoors. The house was clean, comfortable. Beds were great!

We stayed here because Ann Arbor was booked a year in advance. The drive to and fro was easy. And Howell is a delightful town in and of itself. House was clean and spacious. We enjoyed our stay.

Thankful for a thanksgiving home!

Stayed for 4 nights and cooked a turkey dinner for our family. This place was impeccably clean and stocked. It has everything we needed. Comfortable beds? Check. Multiple spaces to hang out? Check! Potato masher? Double check! It was cozy, especially once the snow began to fall.

Perfect Location for Ann Arbor

Stayed here for a game at the University of Michigan. Perfect location away from all the chaos; beautiful, idyllic location with the lake and relaxed feel. Fantastic house, fantastic host, will stay again if I'm back in the area.

Very clean and cute house!

The Paddle Inn was very clean and cute! Each room had what we needed, beds were comfortable, and the house was well stocked with toiletries! The upstairs room does get a little warm but there are fans provided and you can change the AC temp. Very cozy and easy to find!

The Paddle Inn is on the canal of Lake Thompson and situated in a quiet cul-de-sac. It's tucked away in a residential area, but very close to the 96 business loop and historic downtown Howell. It's a nice retreat on the water that has amazing restaurants, pubs, and shopping close by.

Lake Thompson is know for great fishing. Connect to the lake from the back yard. We have 2 fishing kayaks and are close by the public boat launch. Amazing winter and summer recreation activities close by- Howell Nature Center, Lakelands Trail State Park, Pinckney Recreation Area, Mt Brighton, Island Lake Recreation Area, Kensington Metropark.

Downtown Howell is a historic district known for excellent restaurants, pubs, bakeries and shopping. The Sunday Farmer's Market showcases the best in the area during the warmer months. The market moves inside during the winter at the Howell Opera House. Outlet shopping is close by at the Tanger Outlet Mall.
