About Catherine Anas
This has been a vacation home for our family for the last four years. We usually live there all summer long. Now we want to share the serene and breathtaking experience with you. You will never want to leave this cottage! The sunset is my favourite, you'll see it go down right between the Ontario and Quebec tree lines... it's breathtaking!
We absolutely loved it here! Already planning on a stay next summer. The swimming was amazing, the views beautiful and the weather was perfect.
My 6 year old was in the water every chance she got. We completely unplugged for the week and enjoyed the entire experience.
Everything right down to the key pick up was perfect. So many beautiful pictures and memories!
See you next year!
Best vacation ever on the ottawa river!!!!!!
I love this cottage!!!! the views of the ottawa river are beautiful!!!! The swimming is great and the water is warm!!! The kayaks were fun for everybody and my grown children came to the cottage this time!!!! the sunsets and sunrise are awesome on the water!!! The upper deck and lower deck are great for visiting family!!!! This was a really fun vacation!!! my dog zoe enjoyed it too ha ha!!! The cottage is cozy and feels like home!!
Loved the property, idyllic location.
The cottage was wonderfully placed and well equipped with plenty to keep us busy. Unfortunately the weeks we were there were so unusually hot and still, we found the heat too much, especially at night. The sunsets were amazing, Arnprior had everything you could want. All in all a great place to stay in a delightful area.
The property was spacious, clean and the deck view was beautiful.
The pictures of the cottage do it justice. There was a quality barbecue (though perhaps not used in some time), and a good clean stove, fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle in the kitchen. The outside cooler on the deck is great. The one thing we would caution people about if they rent this cottage is that there is no heat inside. If you are going to be there on a cold night, consider bringing a small space heater with you and some very warm clothes.
Over all it is a great getaway spot!
Loved everything about the cottage! The decor the upper and lower deck to sit on, The views are awesome! The sunsets and sunrise are something else! The kayaks were great! The swimming is great!!! Excellent vacation loved everything!!!!!!
Lisa thanks so much! We were so happy to have and would love to have you back again! We're so glad you enjoyed our little piece of paradise!!
Armprior cottage July 2016
We loved staying at this cottage on the river. We fished and swam and explored the area.
There was plenty of room and the cottage is exactly like you see in the photos. It was a wonderful vacation.
Beautiful Arnprior is located on the Ottawa River just 35 minutes west of Downtown Ottawa. Whether you like to stay busy or just relax there is something for everyone in this quaint Eastern Ontario town. Take in one of the many festivals, or shop the many clothing and gift stores the downtown core has to offer. The town boasts beautiful walking trails, one just metres from the cottage. The area is known for its amazing fishing... walleye, bass and musky. There are beautiful beaches just a walk away. McLean beach is just steps from the cottage, or the town beach a short walk or drive away. If you have a boat why not take a tour to the Quebec side. Get all the supplies you need for your vacation, shop Metro, No Frills, Home Hardware, TSC, Canadian Tire, Rona, Giant Tiger, Hart, Shopper's Drug Mart and Rexall. If the kids need a break from beach life... take them to see a movie at the O'Brien Theatre, or bowl at Arnprior Bowler. For the active vacationer visit the Nick Smith Centre, for swimming, skating and fitness centre.
