(Next event: Jan 18-24 The Mountaintop Film Festival at The Big Picture Theater)
A 3-unit structure, this is at least part of Ezra Wait's old house and tavern, according to town history. I the owner live in the front unit, the middle unit is the rental, and the back (the old barn) is commercial space rented to an amazing architect.
This is really your own house, but it's attached to my house (see pics). It's modest but comfortable. I tried to be green where possible with the renovation - the island countertop is old blackboard slate, the downstairs floor though new, is from timber across the gap, salvageable original floorboards were saved for the sliding barn door, trashcans are old sap buckets, etc.
Small as it is, the property has 4 plum trees, 1 cherry tree, 2 pair trees (not fruiting yet), 2 apple trees, and blueberry, raspberry, gooseberry, and seaberry plants. The aim is to create an edible landscape, but it's at the beginning. About 1/3 of the property is wooded, which leaves for a small yard.
(Available as a ski season rental - term/dates flexible.)
