Salobrena villa with the most outstanding views

This villa with its amazing views of sunrises and sunsets was a memorable part of our vacation in Southern Spain and Portugal. We were 3 couples from California traveling together, so the 4 bedroom villa was roomy and fit all our needs perfectly. Caretakers Liz and Barry welcomed us warmly on arrival and helped us figure out logistics including nearby grocery stores and restaurant options. One minor inconvenience that future travelers should be aware of is the absence of any shower gel or bath soap in any of the bathrooms, despite the online listing stating that basic soap is provided. We recommend this beautiful home to groups like ours looking for a relaxing break.

Million-dollar view!

The view, no matter what time of day or night, is absolutely "Awesome"! While you are close to many nice shopping, eating, and sightseeing areas, the unit itself is quiet, peaceful, and private. The house is clean, well maintained, and spacious. Furnishings aren't elegant, but they are homey, comfortable, and all we needed to have an enjoyable stay. The hosts, Liz and Barry, were super! More than willing to help guests in any way. We used this property as our hub to visit beautiful villages along this part of the coast, including Salobrena, Nerja, and Frigiliana. It also worked well for day trips to Granada and the fascinating villages of the Alpujarra in the Sierra Nevada mountains. We spent 10 days here and would have loved to stay longer.

Traumhaft Aussicht

Muchas gracias

Good location

The views from the villa are indeed spectacular and show the best of this unspoilt coast of Spain. The towns of Salobrena, Alumencar and La Herradura are spanish tourist towns so expect spanish restaurants and menus. If you speak some Spanish this is fine and we had some fabulous meals out. The villa itself, whilst I appreciate it is probably below the average cost of a villa with this location, is rather tired and dated inside. If we were here with family we would have had to buy some pool lilos or similar or equipment for the beach. The BBQ was barely usable and I advised that it needed replacing. I would also recommend a small car as the roads and parking at the villa are quite tight. We know this area very well so have visited many times and I would recommend this part of Spain. Would I rush to stay at this villa again? Probably not unless it was updated. Whilst it was a reasonable price it is still not an insignificant amount to spend on a week in a villa and it needs reinvestment back into it.

Fabulous views

We have been staying in the area of both Alfamar and Los Almendros for 8 years in different houses every year. This house was okay, but could use a little upgrade on the details. Communication with both owners and Liz and Barry was excellent. The views are absolutely stunning which is important for us. The house was nice but could be better with a few needed opgrades. The outdoor furniture is hard white plastic with no cushions except on the sunbeds. This is just too bad when you spend the entire day and take your meals outside. The barbecue have seen better days and the fridge as well. Had to push it thoroughly before it closed. Details yes, but little things that would have made the final star for us. We had lovely days at the house and even though we brought our own pool-towels (as said in the contract) these were provided for us. We didn’t use the downstair-floor since we were only a family of 4. Salobreña is our favorite place to stay in Andalucia, the view is simply amazing and all worth it.

Fantastic views & location

We have just returned from a great stay for a few weeks at this amazing Villa. The views were what tempted us to book originally and these are even better in person; we are missing waking up to these spectacular sea views every day. Photos on the website are accurate and the Villa has everything you will possibly need. Just before our arrival the Wifi had been upgraded and works great inside the Villa and around the pool. The Villa is halfway between the very Spanish towns of Salobrena & Almunecar both offer a wide range of supermarkets, local shops and many restaurants. Communication with the owner Debbie before our stay was prompt and helpful; we'd originally booked in 2020 to stay last May but Debbie was very helpful allowing us to move our holiday to 2022. The local property managers, Liz & Barry, were very helpful and easily contactable. The pool was maintained weekly by the very friendly Juan. We have stayed at several locations throughout Spain but this has been our favourite, for the Villa views and what the local towns have to offer.

Vistas espectaculares

Best view in Costa Tropical!

We enjoyed our one week stay at this lovely villa. Location was fantastic. A shirt drive to. Salobrenea and Almunkcar. You definitely need a car but travel in this area js a breeze. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Beds were extremely comfortable. Liz and Barry were amazing before, during and checking out of our stay. They even arranged for a delivery of firewood or is it was there when we arrived. It was the perfect villa for our week stay in Costa Topical We will definitely book again.
