Quick getaway

We came up for a long weekend with a couple of the grandkids. We loved the location, easy to get to downtown Gaithersburg and Pigeon Forge. We were hoping to see some bears and we weren't disappointed.

My whole family enjoyed a lot there… the condo was very pretty, quiet, safe…. The view was fantastic… the weather great.. we’re so close to Gatlinburg down town… the property is strategic point…. Very clean, comfortable and we could cook whatever we wanted… I would like to come back soon to go again to Great Smoky Mountain National Park

Mountain Hideaway

Very comfortable and met all our needs. It is a more remote location which we enjoyed! All the necessary kitchen equipment was provided which was great as we prepared several meals on site. Very nice surroundings!

Great condo in the mountains

I was really happy with the property. We ran into a couple of small issues but otherwise I was very happy with our stay. The condo was nice. The decor was great. I especially loved the showers and the deck.

Not a fan of the drive up and down the mountain but worth it for the peace… house cleaning was the only challenge we faced bc we waited at the house for them to stop by to take care of an issue and they didn’t communicate they were not coming right at the time so we wasted our time waiting on them

Needs some TLC

It was a quite dirty; toothpaste in the sink from the previous renter, disgusting soap scum in the shower, the corners of the floor were filled with buildup, coffee grounds were left in the coffee pot, etc. About half of the lights didn’t have working lightbulbs, and there was only one little blanket on each bed.

Bring your own linens

We enjoyed our stay overall. The location was close to the West side of Gatlinburg and the National Park. We drove right by the Sky Lift bridge on the way to the condo, and could see the Ober Tramway from the porch. The area was quiet, although the unit above us was very noisy. We saw a bear right off the porch a few times during our stay. The main complaint I have is the linens. The listing says linens provided, but that is not totally accurate. There was nothing provided for the sleeper sofa and the queen bed had only a sheet and one thin blanket that was too small for the bed. No bedspread or comforter was there. This was an issue for guests before, as the guest book had this frequently mentioned about the need for more bedding. There were 6 of us staying and only 3 washcloths were in the unit. There were multiple extra pillows, but no pillowcases. It needs a good deep cleaning with dusting, cleaning corners and fixtures, but other than that it was clean and a pleasant stay.

Great location, condo could use a few things to make stay better.

Simple booking. Felt like a few things could help to make condo better. Need more cooking items (baking dishes, serving bowls etc). Made for difficulty cooking dinners. We were greeted with a sour, almost vomit like odor, in the family room. We contacted the emergency number and was told apparently the couch (sleeper) was brand new, and that was the culprit. We went and bought candles, and Febreeze, to help not smell it too badly. Couldn’t get any of the tvs to work. Followed directions and still didn’t work anywhere. We finally went and bought batteries to see if they helped. Still took 10 mins every single night to try and get the tvs to work. Very frustrating when you have little ones to try and occupy during the down time. Place could use a good dusting. Cobwebs were in every corner and on every light fixture. Master bathroom shower wasnt as clean as expected. The floor and shower door had mildew. The beds didn’t have enough blankets, and were missing the quilt in the pics. There was only one thin blanket on the bed. The closet door wouldn’t stay on track. We just stopped using the closet all together. Location of condon was great! We did have several run ins with the bears!

From the Owner: I am not sure about any smell that would be in the condo. We did get a new couch with a sleeper delivered recently but I don’t know why that would cause a sour smell. Our cleaning team will be performing a deep clean on the next visit to ensure all odors and dust/mold is taken care of. As for the TVs, this is the first we have heard that they are difficult to use. We will definitely take a look on our next visit to troubleshoot this issue. Also, the closet door does come off the track, so we will be getting that fixed ASAP. Kitchen items are difficult to keep track of since our place is so heavily booked. We will get an assessment next time we are down there and replace/add items that have been overused or are no longer there.

Has potential, but needs serious attention

This has so much potential to be a great stay, but seriously fell short for us. We had several concerns during our stay: 1. Master bath mold on the ceiling of the shower 2. Exposed nails from a loose piece of trim in the hallway (this was a concern because we have small children) 3. Old, dry food stuck to the mattress of the sleeper sofa, which very obviously hasn't been cleaned 4. Large stains on bedding of the sleeper sofa 5. Large stains on the pack n play mattress. Thankfully we brought our own sheet for this, as there was no sheet for this and I wouldn't let a child sleep directly on the mattress given the stains. 6. We were unsure if the spare bedding was clean, as it was balled up and shoved in the living room closet and master bedroom closet. Nothing was folded so we didn't know if it was old bedding or if it was clean. The instructions say to contact the guest host for issues, so we did. Originally we received a quick response and were brought new, clean bedding which was nice. We were told maintenance would fix the exposed nails which never happened during our entire week long stay. I reached out a second time to both guest hosts with another question and didn't get a response for 2 days, which is unfortunate. Like I said, if the above could be addressed this place has potential. The decor was cute and cabin-ey. Great kitchen. Extremely comfortable beds. Location was great as long as you're okay with driving up the mountain (we didn't mind at all). Great pool.

Honey cabin like condo

Loved the condo! It had everything we needed. I was hoping for more of a view of the mountains since we were so far up but even without that I enjoyed sitting on the porch, where one morning I happen to see a bear walk across the lawn!
