Lorraine the host was very nice and responsive to anything we needed. The house was very quiet and remote which was exactly what we needed. House also was very clean and orderly. Location was good with golf courses and shopping. I would rent again and would recommend this rental.!

Amazing place

The atmosphere was perfect for those who enjoy nature and peaceful walks. I was greeted by three deer every day. The horses Joe, Spur, Casey and McDreamy were all so sweet and friendly. The pool was relaxing and the home spacious, clean and well stocked. Laurianne was amazing and quick to respond with helpful information about the area and events.

Great place to stay

Truly a Bit of Paradise…Loved sitting out by the pool, enjoyed seeing the horses in the coral next to the house. Very quiet area, but close enough to everything. Very quick response to our questions was greatly appreciated. Thanks Lauraine!

A beautiful, comfortable home with everything we needed. We loved the pool area and open kitchen and living room. We also enjoyed the view from the house, including the horses next door. We especially appreciated that the home was in the country, but was one block from town.

Beautiful setting, relaxing

This was a wonderful place that accommodated our family very well. The pool and patio/lanai was a big hit, and we loved the surrounding ranch/horses setting.

Wonderful house and property

Very comfortable and fun house for me, my husband, children and grandchildren. We loved the rural environment, but it was still close to Sarasota conveniences. The very large and well-equipped kitchen was a big plus. Highly recommend!

Absolutely wonderful! Lauraine is a super host and was always available for anything we needed or any questions we had! The property is so peaceful with wonderful views of her lovely horses. It was so quiet and comfortable at night and I had the best sleep ever. I feel like I have made a new friend for life and will definitely stay again when we are in the area!

Amazing Property

This property is amazing. You literally feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but within minutes of everything. The house was large and spacious. Had all the necessities we needed for cooking or doing laundry. Lauraine was amazing as well. She stopped by to say hello and introduce herself. She even answered quickly if we had any questions. The kids loved the pool, they called it the peanut. :) we definitely will be looking to stay again when we go back to Sarasota.

Sarasota ranch

The home was spacious, had all of the amenities needed and felt like home. The pool was clean and the outside area had lots of table space and chairs to hang out with family and friends. The internet was not good at all, couldn’t access internet or download movies to watch which was a bummer seeing as there was no cable. Beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious and clean. There were tons of ants in the kitchen so we had to throw away food a couple of times. Overall it was a good experience; would have been better with strong internet, cable and pest control

Hi Denise, Unfortunately, as we do let our guests know about the slow internet ahead of time before they book, it can be affected by the rain storms that we get during the rainy season of June - Oct. especially. The ranch is out in the country which also makes it more difficult. The constant rain storms also brings the ants inside because of the flooding outside as well. We apologize for the that but there is not much we can do but provide ant killer spray, which we do. So sorry for any inconvenience you had. Fell in love!

We absolutely fell in love with everything about this property! The location...away from the hustle & bustle, but close enough to everything. The property manager, Lauraine, was AMAZING! Great communication throughout the whole process, lots of input on places to eat & things to do, checked in to make sure we were doing well, lots of info on the property, I could go on & on! We made it our nightly routine to go visit the horses & take a walk on the property, which is beautiful. The horses were personable & entertaining. The private, enclosed pool area was a huge asset. The water was a bit chilly, but that didn’t stop us from swimming & lounging in the sun! We grilled out, which was great to be able to do. There were lots of details covered...chairs & a cooler bag to take with us to the beach, extra blankets/sheets, tv’s & ceiling fans in each bedroom, LOTS of closet space/hangers. The kitchen was very well stocked & even had dog bowls & sifters to use for hunting shark teeth & shells at the beach. If you truly want a “bit of paradise”, definitely choose Bits of Paradise Ranch for your stay in the Sarasota area!

All sorts of animals roam our property, such as, a large variety of birds (hawks, cardinals, owls, eagles, woodpeckers etc.), deer, squirrels, raccoons, armadillos, dogs, a few fish in our 2 ponds and of course our beloved horses! If your sensitive to mold or don’t like sulfur smelling water this is not for you

First off, the area is wonderful, and the unit is nice. The owners were attentive and the check in and out were smooth. That being said the home is on well water and while there is no smell with the cold water as there is a filtration system, the hot water was so bad we had to open the windows and leave the house for awhile after a shower. While we could live with this and a few ant bites, the real issue we had staying here was I got real sick the day we got there. I thought it was just a cold so I didn’t think much of it. This went on for a couple days and I was so drained I couldn’t get out of bed. Then one day I sat out by the pool and felt well enough to leave for the day. I felt fine until I returned to the home. Then it started again. This happened again the next day as well after being on the water all day and feeling great. I got back and felt like I got hit by a truck. I sat outside for an hour or so and started to feel better so at that point we decided to get a hotel for the rest of our stay. I felt fine for the rest of our trip, but it did cost me extra and it ruined the first 5 days of my vacation. I have never written a review and I tried to avoid writing this one. I contacted the owner and told them my concerns as I have had a similar reaction to mold in the past. While I did not see anything in the house, it doesn’t mean there isn’t anything. While the owner did appear empathic, she told me it was probably allergies and that the house was clean. (Why I was better outside rather than inside didn’t make a lot of sense) My purpose of writing this review was to let people who may be sensitive to these things to avoid this property as the owner did not feel the need to address this concern. Just as a side note. I am a licensed home inspector and have some constructive knowledge of these things and really just wanted the issue resolved for future guests. I never asked for a refund and none was offered. Just keep this in mind when booking this property

Dear Robert, I can't tell you how disappointed we were to see your review. We wish you had given us the opportunity to address this before you checked out early. The first we learned of your situation, was when you contacted me after you had already left. We thought that we had fully addressed your concerns after you contacted us, regarding them. The properties are fully inspected on a regular basis, as we discussed. Besides the professional independent cleaning services we use, between stays, myself and our fulltime maintenance staff, regularly inspect the premises for all conditions. We have been renting our vacation rental properties for over 12 years and have never had an instance of someone having similar symptoms as yourself. As you told us, none of the other guests staying with you had any symptoms. We truly believe that you may have had some kind of allergen reaction. After contacting us, we had the property inspected and we found no evidence of any condition, that could have caused your symptoms and no mold was detected. Family Fun

The property was awesome, had so much fun in the pool. The house was very clean, had a lot of room, Beautiful house. The property owners were very nice and very helpful. I would definitely go back.

Beautiful house!

Loved this house! The property, the location, the pool, just everything! The host Lauraine was also amazing. Very attentive and easy to communicate with. Definitely saved this house for our future trips to Sarasota!

Beautiful home
