A beautifully restored 104-year-old historic cottage set in expansive gardens overlooking the Irish Sea, The Artist Residence Dublin B&B offers an intimate, authentic and elegant boutique B&B experience -just 15 minutes from Dublin City Centre and Dublin Airport and moments from the beach.

This unique family-run retreat blends Irish heritage, comfort, and creativity, providing a peaceful escape while remaining close to the heart of the city.

The cottage offers three beautifully appointed double bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, along with several inviting indoor and outdoor spaces to relax and unwind. Accommodation sleeps up to six guests. Rates shown on VRBO are per room, per night -inquire for a bespoke quote when booking all three rooms.

This was the most amazing stay! We have been to Ireland/Dublin several times, this time we decided to stay in one location for the week that we were there and it was perfect! Bea and the staff were so attentive, you can tell that everything was done with intention, and for the love of the property, and guests. We were a little concerned about staying outside of Dublin because we were there for the NFL experience, but the house is directly next to a bus stop which was easy to navigate and only 2 Euros a trip. The made to order breakfast was incredible, and also comes with excellent advice and ideas on what to experience that day! I cannot speak highly enough about our experience staying here.

Absolutely Beautiful Experience

Bea and David are the best hosts ever. They have furnished the cottage perfectly and the garden is equally amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. Words cannot discribe the wonderful experience of staying at the Artist Residence.

Perfection

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Bea’s attention to detail is wonderful! The Artist Residence is better than the pictures show. It is located close to the City Center and proximity to the bus and train make it easy to commute to Dublin. Bea was able to accommodate our late arrival after our flight was delayed. She was quick to respond to my messages and helpful. It’s obvious that she enjoys meeting her guests and loves sharing her knowledge of Ireland overall and Dublin in particular. Bea provides a delicious breakfast each day. She even left us a to-go breakfast the morning of our departure. Her daily specials are delicious, but I especially enjoyed her Irish Breakfast. This was our first time in Ireland, and we had such a wonderful stay that we hope to bring our family on our next trip. Thank you for your hospitality!

Wonderful stay!

We loved our 2-night stay at The Artist Residence. The hosts could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. The house was comfy and spotlessly clean. The gourmet breakfasts kept us full all day! We didn’t have a car but the bus to Howth stopped a block away. We highly recommend this B&B and hope to return.

Delightful stay!

This is a delightful bed and breakfast! The staff, especially the multi-talented owner Bea, are thoughful, intuitive in their attentions and thorough in their efforts. The premises are comfortable, carefully arranged and full of art works to spend quiet moments enjoying. The other guests were also pleasant and interesting. We had a wonderful stay and felt able to leave the b and b behind when we wanted to go out and explore. A treasure of a find for us.

Amazing and peaceful stay!

We absolutely loved our stay with Bea and David. The cottage was so cozy and welcoming, with so much classic charm. Breakfasts served each morning was delicious and plenty of food to kick start our adventures to local Howth and Dublin City center. I can’t recommend this stay enough, it will make your stay in Dublin all the better!

Absolutely great location, breakfast superb everyday and our hosts were so helpful. About a 20 minute taxi ride to city center. So nice to get out of the city for part of each day and have green space to relax in.

Peaceful Getaway

Thus cottage was like going back in time. Lovely grounds with birds singing. Small bedroom but adequate. Nice space to sit in. We had a fire with “turf”. I enjoyed playing their piano. Our host & hostess cared for us well.

Fabulous in every wqy

Begona and Dave were fantastic. So welcoming and eager to help. Our room was very cozy with a beautiful view into the back garden where we could see the chickens. The property is beautifully landscaped with Begona’s fresh tomatoes and herbs along the fence. The proximity to the bus line is perfect. We truly wish we could have stayed longer.

Magical B&B!

This is an absolute gem of a place. I had the most lovely experience, in every way. The atmosphere, amenities, food and attention to every detail were beyond compare. The gardens, home and location are all perfect for relaxing and for getting around to Howth and Dublin city center. The moment I walked in the door and was greeted by my smiling hosts, all my cares fell away. For me this was a perfect way to start my vacation and experience the wonderful warmth of the Irish, and the beauty of this country.

Didn’t Stay due to Cat Allergies

We arrived only to see a sign by the front door “Beware of Cat”. Due to allergies we found accommodations elsewhere. The owner was most gracious and understanding of the circumstances, to the point of follow up emails to ensure we found alternative accommodations. Wish we could have stayed.

Ireland’s Most Perfect B&B

Begona and David could not be kinder, more welcoming, or running a more beautiful B&B. Gorgeous setting, stunning rooms, intensely comfortable beds—and the food! Elegant and marvelous, all of it.
