Adorable and Charming beach view house rental in Surfside Beach, Texas. Located across a major street from the beach with 5 to 10 min. walk/drive to beach access road. Christina's Heaven is a 2 bedroom + Loft with 1 bath vacation rentals with beach views from large updated deck. Wonderful hardwood cathedral ceilings with open floor plan and walls of windows to enjoy the ocean views. Fully updated kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and large island. Charming loft with 2 queen beds. All the comforts of home with central AC and heat, BBQ Pit (bring charcoal) and washer/dryer combo. Direct TV satellite, flat screen TVs, dvd player and BIG front deck to enjoy the stunning beach views. Water is from a well so bring bottled water for drinking and cooking. FRIDAYS or MONDAYS check-in/out only. 3 night minimum stay.

Please read rental agreement for additional details. Remember to bring your own sheets/towels or they can be supplied at an extra charge. Also bring your own bathroom supplies.

Check in time is 4 p.m. and check out time is 11 a.m. You will be picking up the key at Beach Resort Services my rental management company in Surfside Beach, Texas

Spring break from snowy Michigan

This was just perfect for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 teen daughters). Actually, we did not even use one bedroom. We called ahead to find out where to get the key since we were going to be late. We were there the first week of April and God provided beautiful weather all week. How can you complain about sunny and 75. The water for drinking/cooking was no problem. It is free in Surfside for filtered water. Just bring a few jugs. We enjoyed some jogs on the beach each morning and explored the area. Of course the girls enjoyed the sun and driving on the beach. Having a license was great for them. Access is just a touch down and across the road. This time of year it was not busy at all. We felt we had the area to ourselves. (Not sure what traffic would be like in the summer.). The thing to do for the locals is hang out at the beach for the day. There was even an ice cream truck that drove down the beach. We enjoyed the Sea Center in Lake Jackson, Brazoria Nature area, the Boot Barn, but the highlight for my husband and one daughter was night pig hunting with Joey using night vision scopes. If it had rained, the house was big enough and very comfortable to hang out in. We cooked all our meals. The kitchen supplies were adequate. Relaxing!!! We would definitely return. It is so much better than Florida if you just want to get away. No touristy stuff.

Cute place

The house was cute and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and had a good time. The owner and management company were easy to work with and made it possible for us to stay on fairly short notice. When there was a leak due to rain, the management company helped us out very quickly. There was plenty of seating in the living area for our family of 6 and the kitchen island was perfect for playing games. The beds were comfy and the sound of the ocean was peaceful. The deck provides a beautiful view of the ocean.

We will not return to this home, though. A major omission in the listing is that you have to provide your own drinking and cooking water. We did not find this out until we had already paid for the rental. After a frantic call to the management company, we did find out that the water was not unsafe; it did, however, have a bad odor and a salty taste were you to drink it or use it for cooking. It was fairly unpleasant with sensitive children.

Also, the kitchen was not well equipped for true cooking. There were not enough pots to be able to cook a full meal all at once so we had to cook a couple of the items and then cook the other parts of the meal. And we don't make fancy meals. I am talking about making pasta, cooking sauce and cooking a couple of vegetables. Also, there was no teapot so we had to use a cooking pot to heat water to make tea. For only having 6 people in the family, this was not good.

A third disappointment is that the listing implies that this home has ocean access and is on the same side of the road as the ocean. It is across a highway from the beach and you have to walk along the highway to get to the beach access road or you have to drive. All the homes immediately across the road from this house have no trespassing signs so you cannot use their beach paths. This was a huge disappointment to us as this was something we worked hard at finding for our rental.

Don't get me wrong - the beach is right there, not 100 yards from the home but "you can't get there from here."

This really was a lovely home and we had a great stay. I just would not return to this home due to the above issues.

Owner's Response: I take every opportunity to improve Christina's Heaven to make it more comfortable and awesome for all my guests. I have put a lot of love and care into my home and hope that others will enjoy staying there as much as I do. I frequently go down to my beach house and have never run into an issue with a shortage of pots. I have 2 large pots for pasta as well as 2 size sauce pans, a couple frying pans and cookie sheets. Additional pots have now been added to accommodate larger families. I LOVE tea and utilize the Keurig machine at the beach house as I have found it makes the best tea! I understand tea lovers have different methods for making tea. I have never used a tea pot before so I have never found the need for a tea pot. I understand that some renters are going to want the comforts of home and that is why I appreciate suggestions and feedback on how to improve to make my home feel like home to all my guests. I have owned my home for a little over 4 years and have always brought bottle water with me when I go to my home and if I am going to cook soup or pasta I will pick up a couple jugs of water. I do not even drink the water from the tap anymore in the city. As my home is water provided from a well this is something I suggest to potential renters on the hospitality tab. I have now updated my VRBO listing front page description with this information as well. I understand that the major road that runs through the beach town of Surfside is in front of my home. This road has a speed limit of 40mph in my subdivision so I have never considered this a highway. I have posted a picture depicting this road and a current review on my site mentions this road as well. I have now updated my VRBO listing front page description with this information as well. My home is not beach front as stated on the website so access to the beach is not a short walk across the sand. The beach access road is less than a 5 to 10 minute walk and a short drive so I find this to be fairly accessible. I pride myself in honesty and making sure that all information I provide is what you will truly experience in your stay at my beach home.

Great Place

I must say that when we drove up to the property we were disappointed as to the location, being that it was on a major highway. But, once we settled in we were very pleased. The home is very nicely decorated and had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. We will recommend it to all our friends and family and will make place for our next stay.
