Such a relaxing spot. Private beach, beautiful sunsets, all the amenities! They did not have a smart tv, but a dvd player with lots of movies. Games and lots of towels were great with the kids! Easy access to beach! Host was very communicative, and made sure everything was nice for us!The only thing that was a bummer was the loft gets super hot, so make sure those shades are drawn, and the fridge was a bit dirty.

Our party of 4 had a fabulous time at this cottage. The view is exactly as pictured. There are 5 steps to the beach. The house was clean and had everything we could have asked for. Check in was easy, the kitchen had lots of space and all necessary amenities, though we did not cook much. Wi-fi was great in the house, although not outside due to location, but that is to be expected. Once on a main road (maybe 2 min from house) reception is fine. We wanted beach access with views of the water and sunsets, and this cottage delivered in spades. It was very peaceful to sit on the deck and watch the waves. There are several houses in a row on the beach, but everyone was nice and respectful, and the beach is big enough that there was no issue with noise. We would absolutely stay again!

Paradise at the beach

My family of 5 stayed at this property on the beach and basically never left! We enjoyed the beach from sun up to sun down. We cooked meals in, played on the beach, played games, watched movies, took naps, took long walks and enjoyed every minute of the vacation. The house was very clean, well stocked with paper supplies and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was a lovely vacation. We did visit the nearby winery and cherry farm too!

This Place is a Treasure!

I absolutely love this place! This is my third stay here. I had some family join me for the first time here and they loved it too. The treasure is having the lake right outside the door but the house is wonderful too. There is so much room! The kitchen is amazing! I LOVE the new stove! Thank you for that! The kitchen has anything you need! Everything is very clean! There are LOTS of nice, fluffy, soft towels! Thank you for that too. Thank you, again, for providing such a wonderful place to stay!

Phenomenal location and a very well appointed kitchen

My friends and I had a wonderful stay here. It was perfectly clean, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our own meals, and it was a very comfortable learning stay. We'll be back!

Enjoyed our stay

In general a nice house and location. The beach was nicer than expect and the patio was great. The house is older but the kitchen and living area were in good condition. The bathroom and bedroom appeared to be original, from the 1960s. They were clean just need some general maintenance.

So cozy & cute!

Our family stayed here for 3 nights, but I wish it could have been longer! This cottage/lake house is adorable. It was clean, cozy, and inviting. The beach and the views of the beach from the house were amazing! And so private! We had a great time, and are already thinking of booking for next summer.

Amazing Beach

Wow! Great place! This is the cleanest place I've ever stayed at including hotels! This place was cleaner than any Marriott I've ever stayed at. The beach is amazing. Lots of room and all sand and a very close to the house. Lots of chairs to take to the beach and lots of nice, fluffy beach towels! The kitchen is well stocked and organized. Everything is labeled so I knew where to put everything back after I used it. This was a great place to stay. I can't wait to return!

Fantastic Views!!!

The house was set on the most beautiful part of the lake. Water was warm and the beach was our favorite place our whole stay! The house was very accommodating to our needs. Plenty of spices and kitchen utensils and such. We will definitely be back again! Gorgeous sunsets every night!

I communicated with the owner and she was wonderful. I did not receive a text with the code for the lock, the owner gave it to me. She answered all my questions.

Enjoyed the solitude

The quietness and the location were great. Although there are a lot of cosmetic repairs that need to be done, the location helps to overcome thoughts short falls.

Quiet and secluded

We had a peaceful vacation over fall break! The location is quiet and secluded. The view and beach are worth booking this property! I found the beds uncomfortable, but the rest of my family was fine so it was just my personal preference. The property is dated, but for the location and the amenities offered, it made it so nice! We are looking forward to our next trip here!

Perfect Beach Getaway

Stayed here with a group of friends to celebrate my 30th birthday, and we had the most wonderful time. The beach is beautiful and sandy with the clearest water and great waves. We spent most of our time on the incredible patio, where you can see great sunsets and then, if the clouds aren't out, see the Milky Way galaxy with total clarity. Inside the cabin, the kitchen is very well stocked with supplies, making cooking a breeze. The beds are plentiful and comfortable, the showers have plenty of hot water, and there are plenty of chairs for lounging and a big table to sit at. Would absolutely stay here again!

Not so good but has potential

The view is beautiful, the beach is private and wonderful. The photos are misleading. The place was not clean to our expectations. It was apparent the sinks/shower were cleaned but not the fans, walls, etc. Dirty dishes were left in the cupboards and the bedding smelled like mildew. The owner doesn't return phone messages but does use text and emails. Not worth the price tag. The owner did look into our complaints so maybe the next person will have better than we did.

Lovely place on the water

We truly enjoyed this peaceful gateway, a perfect place to disconnect and enjoy the beach of lake Michigan. The host was very diligent and helpful. Looking to go there again

Great views in a secluded area

This cottage really has million dollar views! You get unobstructed views of the sparkling lake and happy sailboats. Since it is in a more remote area, you don't worry much about traffic and packed beaches. The actual property feels very much like going to stay with family - there's even a "Grandma's Kitchen" sign. It isn't the sterile rental enviorment that some people may be used to., and you won't find any designer fixtures. However, we had all of the amenities we needed to have a great time. I can recommend this property for those who are after great views and sandy beach access.

Convince to the beach & plenty of room for ten people.

Clean & a well stocked house. Loft for young people was nice. Appliances worked good. Nice dining area with big picture window for viewing beach. Awesome deck for watching the sunsets.
