The cottage was great. The hosts were very accommodating and provided everything we needed for a great stay. The cottage was cozy but plenty of room for the 2 of us and everything was updated in the kitchen, bathroom, living room and bed rooms.

Beautiful Cottage & lovely hosts

The cottage was cute, clean, and well maintained. It has everything you could need and more! The boys were thrilled with the S’mores supplies and snacks! The beach umbrella was a game changer! Kellye was very responsive and gave us some fabulous recommendations! We would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends looking for a Lake Michigan getaway!

Kellye was a fabulous host! She communicated with us and left the lights on when she knew we’d be later than expected due to Canada traffic. The communication throughout was fabulous. The house was adorable, well equipped and clean. The extra details were so appreciated. We loved the s’mores/snack kit and found the info book about the area to be full of wonderful suggestions. We took advantage of as many as we could in our short stay. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! Thank you for being such an outstanding host! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this wonderful cottage and it’s fabulous owner.

Kellye and her place were both just amazing. The cabin is so clean and nice, the decor sets the right vibe! Kellye was very kind to us and took excellent care of our group throughout the stay! Wonderful Cottage

A great cottage in a picturesque area along Lake Michigan, this place was a quiet place to relax with my family. Quick access to multiple beaches and wonderful restaurants. My kids liked Ruth Ann's Ice cream which is just down the street!

Bill and Kellye were wonderful hosts and answered any questions we had during our stay! Their cottage is so nice and well kept! It had everything we needed for the little downtime in between our busy days! I would highly recommend everyone to trust your future experiences with Bill and Kellye if you’re visiting the Muskegon area! You will not be disappointed!

Great stay!!!

Enjoyed our stay here immensely. The home was clean, comfortable, nice quiet location (although we had to deal with some construction noise that is NOT a normal occurrence so no reflection on the owners) Nice well stocked kitchen, but we were only here for short stay and didn't cook a meal there. We did cook on the grill and that worked fine. Kellye is a great host, always available, and encouraged us to come out and enjoy the sunsets which were beautiful. We originally booked this home for a family reunion for 5 aging siblings. Unfortunately 3 sisters could not make it so was just my brother and I. The place might have been a little crowded had all 5 of us been there but was perfect for the 2 of us and would be fine for more. I love the area and would love to return here.

Peaceful Cottage

Shipwatch was everything we wanted in a family rental. It was just big enough for our family of five. Things were thought out and the extra treats, gas grill and campfire supplies were great. We would love to visit again!

A great little get-a-way

Beautiful property (fully stocked), attentive hosts, plenty to do and see, beaches were always perfect and plenty to choose from! We did encounter some technical difficulties, completely out of their control. The hosts, and VRBO, were very accommodating to get us through and everything ended up just fine. Overall, a beautiful time away to see more of what Michigan offers.

Shipwatch Cottage

Husband and I stayed at the Shipwatch Cottage 7/8/24 to 7/12/24. The property was immaculate inside and out and was equipped with really anything you might need or could want. Also, the WIFI was fast and solid. Perfect for a rain day. The property is surrounded by woodlands and as advertised, has a stupendous Lake Michigan view. It is easy to get to and from with good roads all around yet very, very peaceful and quiet. The property owners were very cordial and made every effort to ensure that we lacked nothing during our stay. In addition to the printed directory of attractions, activities, beaches, etc. located in the cottage, the owners provided their personal take on things to do in the area. Very helpful! All-in-all, we felt this property was by far the best we have stayed at in roughly 10 years of exploring western Michigan. We highly recommend the Shipwatch Cottage and offer our thanks to Kellye & Bill.

Cute Cottage

We had the absolute best time. Great location. Hosts made us feel right at home, were super friendly, and very accommodating. Kids loved the stocked S'mores basket and supplied firewood. We will be booking here again in the future.

Everything was perfect and then some. The host went out of her way to make sure everything was as we needed. She even called during a storm and offered to bring down their generator if the power went out. We will be back!

Great fall getaway!

The location is fantastic!! The scenery is beautiful!!! The cabin is exactly as advertised and more! Lots o’ little touches that make you feel relaxed and at home.😌 And definitely the best stocked kitchen of any VRBO we’ve stayed at! Definitely be back next year!!!!😁

Most serene place on Earth

I absolutely adored this cottage. I was looking for a place to rest and recharge and boy was this it!! The cottage has everything you need and I especially appreciated the hosts attention to detail. The art and whimsy was also lovely. My memories of sitting in the white chairs on the bluff watching the sunset and butterflies will stay with me forever. Amazing place.

Perfect retreat

My family of 4 so enjoyed our stay at Shipwatch! We spent our days at Duck Lake Beach (<5 minute drive), Pere Marquette Beach (30 minute drive), and Muskegon State Park Beach (10 minute drive) and enjoyed sunsets, s'mores, and board games in the evenings back at the house! Groceries, etc are about 15-20 minutes away in Muskegon. From the moment we booked and received a great list of recommendations for the area from Kellye, to her texts just checking in during our stay, communication was open, friendly, and kind. We would definitely stay here again!
