Sitting on nearly an acre of land in the charming town of Gorgona this beautifully built casita is waiting for you! With its beautiful pool and lush grounds your vacation oasis awaits. Unit sleeps 4 max
This stunning, newly built, fully furnished one bedroom casita is 500 sq. feet with an open living/dining concept. The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances and granite counter tops. The bedroom has a king size bed and offers plenty of storage. The queen size hide-a-bed offers additional sleeping accommodations for 2. Guests can enjoy lounging by the outdoor pool or sitting on their private patio. Your private 12'x19' patio has its own private gas BBQ, outdoor seating where you can you sip your morning coffee or enjoy your evening meal. The grounds, a half acre, are lush green and filled with coconut, mango and papaya trees.
The internet in each casita is hard wired to ensure a great experience.

Located an hour from Panama City and a short 5 minutes to the magnificent Pacific Gold Coast beach, Gorgona is an ideal central location for your vacation stay. Dining out, no problem! Gorgona offers fine dining at the nearby Bahia as well as smaller restaurants enticing you with their local flavors. Nearby Coronado, another short 5 minutes away offers amenities such as a 24 hour supermarket, pharmacies, restaurants, medical clinic and a world class golf course.
Come visit us in Paradise, if only for a brief stay. Panama offers something for everyone! There is surfing, horseback riding, hiking trails, zip line tours, white water rafting tours and fishing trips nearby.

Linda and Russ have an exceptional property, very well laid out and inviting. Enjoyed our stay so much. The place is clean kept up well! Appreciate the highlights of the area and guidance on how to get to nearby restaurants and stores. Would come again!

Great place to stay

The casita we had was very clean and comfortable. Everything that you needed to cook meals. Great outdoor area and beautiful pool. The owners were very accommodating. If we ever come back this is the place that we would stay.

Paradise n Panama offers a peaceful retreat. The casita has all the amenities needed. The air conditioner for the bedroom was great. The pool being only 20 steps away was a real treat. It was so clean, pretty and refreshing. Russ and Linda have made a home away from home.

Great location for exploring the region. Clean, fully equipped kitchen, & nice patio. Best WiFi during our time in several locations in Panama. Car needed if you want to do field trips. Highly recommend visiting the Butterfly Haven in Anton Valle and lunch at Casa Florencio.

3 Months in Paradise

Russ and Linda are amazing hosts. Over the course of our three months, a few issues popped up and were dealt with promptly. They delivered ice, bottled water and a battery operated fan during a 12 hour power outage. The property is lovely, the pool sparkles and our casita kitchen was very well equipped. Good towels and linens and a comfy bed made our stay very pleasant. We did not have a car but cabs and buses were only a short walk away. We hope to get back one day.

Relocation Visit

We stayed at this property at the end of a 2 week self guided tour thru Panama. We stayed at 4 locations and this was our favorite. Our Casita was spacious, very clean and well appointed. Steps away from the Casita was a great pool & sun deck surrounded by palms and a beautiful landscaped yard. The entire property is gated in a very quiet neighborhood, close to Panama highway and maybe a mile to the beaches. The Hosts, Russ & Linda, weā€™re great! They provided a great book of information in the casita and are very helpful with recommendations and even assisted us in locating a COVID testing center for our return flight. Top Notch!!!

Russ and Linda were the most gracious hosts. They were very knowledgeable about the area and provided suggestions of where to go and things to do. The property and accommodations were top notch. We especially enjoyed the pool. The casita had everything we needed and was very clean. We also had Emma the complimentary cat visit with us daily. Loved that! We would definitely stay again when we return to the area.

Fun Tropical Retreat

My husband and I stayed here for 12 nights in November. We enjoyed our casita...it was cozy and it had all we needed. The air conditioned in the bedroom worked great and the king size bed was comfy. It was hot in the living area but that's to be expected the tropics! We spent most of our time on our private patio - we loved it! We sat out there, grilled our dinner, and enjoyed the space. The pool was awesome...big and refreshing...we spent a lot of time here. Russ and Linda were great hosts, we wish we saw them more but they were always busy making their place special for future guests. The location was nice...we could walk to a (very) small supermarket. There was also a nice lady selling fruit at a stand on the corner. We don't speak much Spanish and she was very sweet. Really good Pineapple, oranges and limes. I miss the fruit stand already. As we've moved to other locations on our panana trip, no other place has a fruit stand within walking distance. We didn't rent a car for this part of the trip but taxis are cheap and it's a quick walk to grab one from this casita. Thank you Russ & Linda!

Better than Home

Our month long stay at Paradise N Panama exceeded all our possibly need and the king size bed was perfect! One could be as involved with other guests as you'd like or as private as desired. The covered patio offered additional living space, a great spot to get out of the sun, play games, listen to music, read or share a bottle of wine. The private bbq was a bonus although cooking with the other guests was also a pleasure. Linda was exceptional in sharing places to visit and things to see. Russ worked tirelessly in maintaining the property and ensuring everything ran smoothly. We made wonderful friends in not only the owners but other guests as well. Taxi's or bus rides to Coronado for groceries, shopping or to explore are plentiful and easily accessible. The casita is a short, 5 minute, but hot walk from 3 mini marts for items - wine, beer, spirits, vegetables, canned goods and paper products if you forgot something from Coronado grocery stores. The beach is close but suggest a bus or taxi ride. Watching the fishermen bring in their daily catch and lunch of fresh fish at one of the beach huts is an experience not to be missed. This is a trip we will repeat again next year and will talk of for years to come! Thank you Linda and Russ for your gracious and warm hospitality!

Super Clean

We were two couples that stayed at the Hunts for two weeks and could not have been happier. If you like to explore you need a car. There is 3 grocery store walking distance and 1 Chinese restaurant. Beside Police Station. The other closest restaurants are Pizzeria Torito's (super good/went 3 times) but slow (who cares your on vacation). Rincon Catracho had good spaghetti and breakfast. Although we eat breakfast at our casita almost everyday as there is EVERYTHING one needs to cook. We eat at La Ruina once and it was so so. If you want to meet a lot of expat's go to Coronado (10-15 min drive) on Wednesday night at Picasso for happy hour between 5 & 7. The place gets full fast. There were so many people from Ontario which was perfect as we are from Ontario as well. We enjoyed our drinks but the food was so, so. Before entering Coronado there is a police check point. They don't bother with the tourist. It was all good. The police are park on the side of the road (motorcycle) a lot which is good as it keeps the traffic from speeding. Driving and drivers in Panama was all good. The nearest beach is Playa Gorgona (white & black sand). We then went to Playa Malibu which is a white sand beach where you can walk for miles and hardly no one there. We were there during the week though. We also drove to Playa Santa Clara on a Saturday and OMG was it busy. But that is the only one we went to that had numerous huts for shade, they all had a hammock, small room/bath one can rent and two restaurants. If you like to people watch that's your spot. One day we drove to El Valley (pronounce L vajay) which is a small town in the mountains and was worth the drive. The views are amazing and the town has a big farmers market open 7 days a week. We also went to the Panama Canal. Make sure you get there before 11:00 am to see the boat crossing. There is a lot to enjoy about Panama. You can drink there water (almost everywhere) it's US money, same time zone as Ontario, no hurricanes and the people were friendly. Would we go back and stay at the Hunts? Absolutely. Russ and Linda are friendly and there property/pool is perfect. The ONLY thing I wish is that they would give you more info as we found out most of it by ourselves. If you drive from Panama City and put Nueva Gorgonna in your GPS it will take you there no problem. That's what we did. During our two week stay there were two other couples from Ontario. Paradise in Panama is truly a nice place.

It really is Paradise!

We were fortunate to spend 3 weeks at this mini resort in Jan. 2020. Everything is exactly as described & pictured. The property is meticulously kept and the pool very clean. The Casita we were in had everything you could want or need for preparing your own meals and being comfortable. There are many small local restaurants nearby if you choose to go out that have great food at reasonable prices. The hosts, Linda and Russ are very welcoming and will assist you with suggestions for restaurants or day trips. I would absolutely recommend staying here if you are visiting the Gorgona area.

Great Place to Rest, Relax, & Refresh

My husband and I stayed at one of the Hunt's casitas for two months during February and March. Paradise in Panama is a mini-resort for 3 couples, so the beautiful pool is almost private, and one of its very best features. (A convenient pool is essential in the tropical Panamanian heat.) We visited with the other couples around the pool every day. Our casita had everything one needs: kitchen, comfortable living area, well-sized tiled shower, and a super patio (with a hammock for snoozing or reading). Suggest you leave your oven food recipes at home: ovens don't exist in Panama -- they produce too much heat. Instead, use the BBQ grills, with tin foil pans for vegetables. The grills also are great for meals with other guests. Russ and Linda Hunt, the owners, live at the mini-resort. They make helpful suggestions on activities and travel. Do ask them! Thanks for the many books! We did not rent a car, so the couple block walk to the Pan American highway over rocky streets in daytime heat (90-95 degrees every day) was intense. Buses for 30 cents to Coronado (3 miles) are plentiful on the highway, and other buses take you to restaurants (we enjoyed Picasso and the Sandbar) and the Pacific beach. Local buses in Gorgona take you to restaurants (Rincon Catracha and La Ruina) and the local fishing beach. Taxis are readily available for $3-4, and a bit higher for trips to other beaches and the cool mountain town of El Valle. We also visited Casco Viejo and the Canal in Panama City, seafood markets, plus a jungle trip to the Emberra people. The natural beauty of Panama, with its hills and flowers, are superb. Deanna

We did enjoy our stay. Linda and Russ are very friendly. It is a relaxing and quiet place to chill. A vehicle is necessary to drive to Coronado for groceries and to get to beaches and restaurants. If you like walking - roads are not paved and no sidewalks.

Spectacular!

Linda (owner) went above and beyond in all aspects of my month long stay. She welcomed us like old friends and was always there for questions and advise. Everything, casita, grounds etc., were EXACTLY as pictured or described. Everything was exceptionally clean. I felt so at home there it was difficult to leave. No regrets!

We felt so fortunate to have found this place in Nueva Gorgona. The owners are terrific hosts and are happy to share tips to make the Panama experience the best it can be. The grounds of this property are BEAUTIFUL and well maintained, as is the pool. We enjoyed reading and socializing poolside every day , then slipping in to cool off. This casita has its own private patio and grill. We enjoyed our morning coffee there, lounging on the furniture and hammock, and making meals at the end of the day. The kitchen has everything one needs to make themselves at home. The bed is very comfortable and the unit is just as the pictures show - clean, modern and spacious. We stayed for three weeks, but could have easily stayed longer in comfort. I highly recommend this property for a stay in Panama!

Great Place!

We loved our stay. Very spacious for a casita. We had the unit with the large patio and that was a plus. The grounds are very nicely landscaped around the pool. We felt safe and secure there, especially with the owners living on the property. Russ and Linda were very friendly and helpful whenever we needed something. Truly Paradise

The casita is beautiful and very nicely furnished. It has everything you may need for a short or long stay. It is nice and quiet and the bed is extremely comfortable.The owners Russ and Linda are very gracious and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. It is such a peaceful location with gorgeous trees throughout the property and a relaxing pool for a nice refreshing swim to cool down. It is close to shopping and restaurants and is easy to access from the highway. We highly recommend staying at Paradise in Panama. You will find that you feel right at home and won't want to leave.

Wonderful place to stay!

This was great, clean and beautiful, stocked with everything one would need for 3 days or 3 months. The place is just as it is pictured. Linda and Ross are great hosts. There were 4 of us and we had the casita and the studio, which were across the yard from each other and past the mango tree full of fruit right now. A nice, private get-away. We definitely recommend it.

The pictures and description of the property are spot-on! The rental villas are spacious, clean and well-appointed for a comfortable stay. Russ and Linda provide invaluable suggestions about the offerings for the surrounding area; restaurants, shopping, beaches, etc. You will not be disappointed this gem of property will offer. I'm planning my next stay for April and we're starting a Paradise-in-Panama tradition since I was so impressed with their vacation home: I will return every year within few days after Christmas to smoke barbecue ribs for New Year's Eve and then it's off to the beach to watch fireworks to bring in the New Year! So book early! Thank you Russ and Linda for providing a welcoming vacation.

Fabulous Week in Paradise

This property is aptly name. It is paradise!! I'm a stickler for cleanliness and the casita, the pool, and the grounds were immaculately clean!! Linda and Russ are the consummate hosts. From the time Russ picked us up from the airport to our return, we couldn't have been happier. The kitchen is well stocked and we didn't need to borrow any gadgets. The bed was so comfortable! I slept better here than I do at home! I love the attention to detail, such as including a full length mirror and laundry hamper in the bedroom. The bathroom has a wonderful shower. We used the laundry room multiple times, which was very handy. Favorite times include swimming in the super clean pool and enjoying my coffee on the patio. The location was perfect for us, allowing easy access to grocery stores nearby and providing a home base for our daily excursions into Panama City and surrounding areas. Linda also helped arrange our car rental, and we were very happy with their service. We will certainly return!!

Paridise in Panama

Although we never saw any details on the Hunt's website about the accommodation, we very exited and pleased when we entered our casita. Very well maintained, quality outfitted in all quarters: bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room. Also, the pool and surrounding areas were very clean and maintained. A separate laundry room can be used as convenient. Russ and Linda, the owners, are cheerful and helpful people and available for any wish or request for information. Bottom line: super value for the price paid, for a piece of "Paradise in Panama" (the name of their location) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
