About this property
Fantastic duplex in the Historic District
We are glad to be back offering our bright, art deco era upper unit with great living area that overlooks other unique homes in a historic district. It is three easy blocks to the light rail and close to downtown Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota, trails, breweries and restaurants.
The duplex was built in 1925 and maintains its original art deco feel. The dark woodwork, door hardware, North and South side piano windows, winding staircase and hardwood flooring throughout the home are inviting and warm. The windows on three sides of the living room provide a fun "tree house" view of the lovely homes on our quiet street and make a great spot to relax or work in the afternoon sunshine. The deck off the second bedroom faces the back yard is the perfect place to spend a summer evening.
There are two bedrooms. Bedroom #1 contains one queen sized bed and ceiling fan. Bedroom #2 has two twin beds. Both rooms have dressers and closet space.
The spacious living room includes lots of comfortable seating, flat screen TV, DVD player and Netflix access. There are also a variety of games and books for guests to use.
The full kitchen is clean, updated and provides items needed to cook meals. It has a full sized refrigerator, oven, gas stove, microwave and dishwasher.
The bathroom is a typical size for the era and has a deep tub with a shower.
The dining room boasts a classic plate shelf and two large West facing windows that bring in the afternoon light. The large dining table can easily seat six.

This place was perfect for a little family getaway. Close to light rail, eateries and my brother-in-law even walked over to the Witches Hat. Great location.
A great location as it was so easy to get around to either downtown areas and cute neighborhoods in the area. Property as described and easy to work with. Very comfortable beds!
The neighborhood was very quiet and conveniently located near the light rail. The duplex had everything we needed and the host was great to communicate with. We would stay here again.
Nice, quiet neighborhood. The unit was clean, and the sheets were fresh and crisp. The pots and pans are older and nonstick-coated, so we purchased a stainless steel pot during our stay and left it at the property for future guests. The water is unfiltered tap water, so we opted to buy bottled water. We also picked up a kitchen sponge for washing dishes and body wash, as the small, thin bar soaps provided were not very practical.Overall, we had a lovely time and enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful VRBO experience! Owner was accommodating and responsive. The place was clean, organized, and nice location near downtown, trails, shops, and food.
