The Space: This large studio room includes a kitchenette and ensuite bathroom with garden access. The room is equipped with reverse cycle aircon for winter warmth and summer cool. Of course there is free wifi. A camp-style bed is available for a 3rd person, though not recommended for large people as it is low to the ground. The bathroom has floor heating during winter for that extra bit of comfort on cold mornings and evenings when you come back from the snow.
A large double glazed sliding door provides access to the garden, as well as making this a light and comfortable room. The garden, with lake views, includes outdoor seating and a bbq
Bedding The bed is a comfortable king/split, which can be configured as 2 separate single king beds for a small additional fee ($20 per booking). A camp-style bed is available for a 3rd person, though not recommended for large people as it is low to the ground. The bed will be made up with fresh linen, and towels are provided.
Eating In The kitchenette includes a full size fridge, convection/microwave, portable induction hotplate, and an air fryer. Smaller appliances include Nespresso pod coffee machine, kettle, sandwich press, toaster etc. Of course cutlery, plates, cooking pots etc are proviced. All basic kitchen needs are provided,If you find you are in need of anything, just check with Dianne upstairs.. Pantry items include coffee, tea-bags, sugar, salt/pepper, olive oil, cereals etc.
Laundry A washing machine and dryer are available in the entry foyer; these are shared with guests in Aalen2 Lakeview Suite (maximum 4 guests). Washing soap is provided
The location Outside areas include a bbq with lake views, 6-8 person hot-tub and fire-pit, which are shared with guests of Aalen1 and Aalen2. As the owners live upstairs, there is nearly always someone on hand to attend to your questions including information on restaurants, bike trails etc.
Guests can walk through adjoining reserve to shopping centre, restaurants. Banjo Paterson park and Lake Jindabyne which is a 5 minute walk away.
Off street parking (not under cover) is available for 1 car.

This place is fantastic. Very central and close to the shops in Jindabyne. The room is very well appointed and impeccably clean. The owner is very nice and helpful.

Warm welcome and attentive service by the host. Central location, comfortable bed, quiet settings, beautiful view of sunrise and the lake in the distance. Heated bathroom flooring. Hope to return for next ski season !

Lovely host, spacious, cleanly and excellent location
Dianne is a lovely host who really looks after her guests. She had prepared bread and cereal as breakfast for our stay. We had an excellent stay at Dianne's studio, the studio is clean and spacious for two adults. The kitchen and bathroom have everything you need for a short stay. Only a short walk from the town centre and around 30 minute drive from Ski resorts. Would not hesitate to stay again.

A highly recommend property to spend your holidays. Nice and cosy for a small family. Very clean and conveniently located close to the shopping centre. Dianne was extremely helpful and very prompt with her communication. We had issues with the wifi on day 1 but Dianne immediately helped sort it out. Thanks again for the lovely stay.

Dianne and Mike were extremely friendly and helpful. Dianne’s local knowledge was so helpful for finding the best places to eat/drink, hire snow equipment, best ways to get up to the mountain and more.
The room was clean and comfortable and the location is great. only ~2 minute walk to local shops, bars, cafes etc without the noise you’d imagine being so close to a bustling ski town comes with. Would have no problem recommending or staying again. Dianne also makes a very nice homemade Jam. 5 stars.
Dianne was a lovely host, very helpful. The facilities were excellent, a great comfortable king bed, great cooking facilities, and nice space, with comfortable chairs. We had a flat battery and Dianne and Mike went out of their way to help. On the downside, the area around the front door was smelly, like possum urine, the driveway needed the trees trimmed, being Christmas time, the hosts had visitors so cars were parked on the driveway. We had to negotiate overhanging tree branches when pulling out of the driveway.

I appreciate your telling me of the problems of overhanging trees - we will address them as a matter of urgency. You must admit though, your car was very large. I could have put you in a better place if you had told me it was a concern. I don't agree about the smell, - neither of us have noticed it, but will see if I can improve that too.
Very happy to have found this studio available for our impromptu snow trip. Dianne was wonderful with her communications and we were very comfortable for our weekend stay. Approx. a 30 min drive from either Perisher or Thredbo and with shops just around the corner, the location was perfect.
Aalen - Lakeview Studio had all the features that you would want for a holiday stay. Located most conveniently just one block from the main shops, we were able to walk to shops, restaurants and cafes. The studio is a new build: fresh, clean and uncluttered with onsite parking. The furnishings are tasteful and the appliances - full-size fridge, microwave, aircon, TV, washing machine, clothes dryer etc are all new. We appreciated the inclusion of a filter jug, a USB point for charging 3 devices, effective blockout blinds and fly screens, king size bed with quality cotton sheets, 2 bedside lights, 2 comfortable armchairs, good room lighting and plenty of storage for clothes and suitcases. The bathroom is well appointed and immaculate. Our host Dianne was very pleasant and helpful. We thank her for making our stay so enjoyable and can certainly recommend Aalen - Lakeview Studio.
Perfect little place to stay for a long weekend. Surprisingly well equipped kitchenette, very well located and a easy check in/check out process. So close to the town with a lovely little bar just a stones throw away. Perfect for a little get away. Would thoroughly recommend!

Recent renovation and extension work on Aalen 2 mean my husband and I now live upstairs in that building, enjoying the extensive views of Lake Jindabyne and the Snowy Mountains that extension provided.
