We have to apologise however that we did not achieve our usual high standards for cleanliness, we never received such comments before. As you say, it must have been an oversight. We are sorry to hear that the vacation of Mr. and Mrs. Koellsch was spoiled by the jellyfish on the nearby beach. Usually they are not present in large numbers, it must have been the season. In all the years that we have been coming to HuaHin we only had once a situation with jellyfish. I hope that - instead of the sea - he enjoyed the swimming pool at the house.

We are very pleased to hear that Mr. Rasmussen and friends enjoyed their stay in our villa in HuaHin! We hope they will stay with us again! With regard to the electricity to be paid for the actual use at local costs, this has become a usual policy in Thailand, as electricity costs are mostly caused by the extensive use of airconditioning. In this time of energy-conscious policies we hope guests will take responsibility and use the aircons mostly at night when sleeping. Every room has doors into the garden and a fan, which will make sure there is a cool breeze.

We are sorry to read that our house did not live up to the expectations of its latest guest. In the 12 years that we rented the villa we never received any complaint of the accessibility of the pool. There are only 2 steps of about 12 inch each that needs to be taken to access or exit the pool through the jacuzzi area. Especially the jacuzzi makes the pool a favorite of families with children. With regard to the oven, we bought kitchen applicances from good European brands, which means that it takes time to order parts for maintenance. With a short stay as that of our latest guest - only 4 days, this was too short to get the oven repaired. Since the kitchen is further equipped with 4-point induction cooking hob, a microwave, rice cooker and many other utensils cooking would still have been possible, but it is well understood that outside dining which is available at walking distance in all price ranges can be of preference. In the mean time the oven has been replaced by a new one. Concerning electricity, it is common practice in Thailand to have that separately charged at local rates, as the guests may feel more responsible for usage. Practices like leaving airconditioning units on for most of the day, sometimes with the doors open and the heat coming in, do not fit anymore in today's energy-conscious policies. The guest was informed prior to his arrival. Finally, the qualification 'flawed' feels undeserved as we also put in extra effort to arrange transportation from Bangkok to the house and assisted in providing an invitation letter for visa applications.
