Misleading listing and poor follow-through
I really wanted to give a 5 star review because the property is clean (a major factor right now) and the location was perfect for our purposes, but the ways it fell short were a big deal. Long story short, my family is from Indiana, so we've been landlocked, and quarantined for months. We came down with the intent of staying in quarantine but somewhere warmer and with stuff to do at the house. To ensure we ha a good experience I communicated ahead of the trip to ask about the property. I wanted to ensure we could definitely have a heated pool and that if I picked this house over others that the listed items were in good condition. I was told the pool could be heated and that the pool table and air hockey were in working order. All of those things were either fully a lie or partially one.
If you're considering this house here is the important facts they do/don't share:
Pros:
-Clean
-Location
-Cost
-Beds are awful but they've bought memory foam toppers which helps considerably.
Cons"
-not really fully equipped. Lacking several basic utinsils and other every day items most places we've stayed have had
-Air Hockey table was broken and taped together. The parts that were broken made it completely not useable.
-Pool table was in okay condition but the pool sticks were missing the tips and therefore unable to be used.
-Pool heat if you pay the huge upsell to have it only runs from 9am - 4pm meaning that even with the cover on it almost 24 hours a days we were only able to take the cover off and use it 1 day when it got to 80 degrees and only for a coupe of hours in the afternoon when it would be warm enough.
-starter items; most rentals provide some starters. Don't expect that here. There were almost no starters, and I'm not being picky we had to run to the grocery when we got here ASAP because there was almost no toilet paper to last to even the next morning!
-If you have an issue and call the number they then have to reach out to someone else. It took over 24 hours to get back to my husband and another 24+ to call him back to tell him they couldn't do anything about the air hockey and pool table
I'm not trying to be awful, but I specifically messaged and asked about the activities and the pool. It doesn't state anywhere the limited hours the heat would run. And just for full disclosure my husband is a licensed home inspector and we also own a rental property of our own. We understand how this whole process works, what is required. It was bad.
