Norfolk and East Anglia is one of the few relatively unspoilt parts of England. The historic centres of Norwich, Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds are a delight with museums, galleries theatres and shopping centres. The apartment is located in mid Norfolk which gives easy access to each of the above towns and cities as well as the beautiful north Norfolk coast. For nature lovers, walkers, golfers historians and families there is a vast array of attractions in the area. A few are listed: Pensthorpe - as seen on the BBC Springwatch programme. Thetford Forest with walks from the High Lodge Forest Centre or Go Ape with the high wire forest adventure. Sandringham House shops and garden. Norfolk Broads with daily boat hire. Racecourse at Newmarket, Fakenham and Great Yarmouth. Bressingham - 4 railways, fabulous gardens and National Dads Army collection. Banham Zoo with car boot sale on Sunday mornings. Wroxham Barns - home to many craft studios. Numerous inland and coastal golf courses.

Clean comfy excellent accommodation
Peaceful but convenient for shops restaurants etc great accommodation and well looked after by owner
Thank you Philip and Audrey for your kind and positive comments on your visit. You came for a long weekend to see your family in a village near Dereham. Before your came you said your priorities were cleanliness and warmth - you confirmed with me that the apartment certainly met your expectations.
It was a pleasure to have you both stay.
Great apartment with lovely views
This is one of the best apartments we’ve stayed in. Everything you could possibly need - comfortable seating & bedding. The view over the golf course looked beautiful with the autumn colours. Shops within a short distance & attractions including National Trust venues, not too distant. Gressenhall Museum, not N.T. but really worth a visit. Would definitely choose to return. Thank you.
Thank you Les and Jean for your very positive summary of your stay in the apartment.
Like most people who stay you probably went through the two boxes of local attractions and found something different that suits their or their children's interests. Gressinhall being a Workhouse museum is absolutely fascinating for both old and young. Plus they have lots of additional events during the summer months. Norwich Castle museum in the town centre is also popular which can be combined with a shopping or theatre trip.
Look forward to welcoming you on a future visit to the area.
Excellent Holiday Accomodation in Ideal Location
We went to Norfolk to visit family and attend both a wedding and Quidenham Hospice last every Memory Day. Property was in ideal location close to Watton but in a very quiet location. The property was extremely well presented, clean and had almost everything we could need. Geoff and his wife were about during our stay and made us feel very welcome. Our dog was also made welcome and seemed to be very at home in her new surroundings. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Thank you Rosalind for your comments which are greatly appreciated. Samantha, our apartment manager, asked me to thank you for the gift you left her in appreciation of the extra work she automatically does following a visit of one of our canine friends.
Well appointed and quiet
Just what we were looking for and with the added benefit of flexibility on dates. Accommodation presented to good standard.
Thank you Jonathan and Susan for your review.
It was a pleasure to have you stay whilst you visited your family. I hope everything goes well with your father's operation and hope to see you again on future visits.
It was awesome
Loved this place.
Me and my niece stay her plenty of room and very clean. We had everything we need and more. I hoping to come back next year!!
Thank you Karen for reviewing your stay. I look forward to welcoming you back next year after your long journey from Canada.
Simple five star plus from accommodation to location
The accommodation was faultless as was the location only regret was I was too busy the play golf. Big thank you to all concerned.
Philip and MaryJane thank you very much for your generous and positive review of your stay in Fairway View.
It must have been very frustrating watching all the golfers pass by and being too busy to play. A large percentage of our guests do not play golf but still enjoy watching them play - maybe you will have a chance to play on another occasion.
The marvellous north Norfolk coast beaches including Holkham and Hunstanton (the only west facing beach on the east coast!),bird watching marshes as well as interesting small towns such as Wells-next-the-Sea, Holt and the seaside resorts of Cromer and Sheringham are all under an hours drive from Fairway View.
We would recommend a car to enable you to explore the lovely Breckland area and beyond. The nearest airports are Norwich approx 25 miles and Stansted approx 68 miles. The nearest stations are Thetford approx 10 miles and Norwich approx 20 miles. Bus services to various locations operate from the High St which is a few minutes walk from Fairway View.
Norwich approx 20 miles. Bury St Edmunds approx 27 miles. Cambridge approx 40 miles. Thetford Forest approx 10 miles. Newmarket approx 25 miles. Sandringham approx 25 miles. Banham Zoo approx 15 miles. Pensthorpe approx 18 miles.N orfolk Broads/Wroxham approx 25 miles.
Watton is a small market town in the beautiful Breckland area of Norfolk. The High Street has a good selection of shops, banks, Boots and a Somerfield/Co-op as well as a great bakery and a superb butcher who does a roaring lunchtime trade in various hot roast rolls. A Tesco store is approx 200 yards from the High Street. Chinese, Indian and Italian restaurants and various takeaways are available. Town centre pubs and country pubs in nearby villages. The golf clubhouse has a spike bar with snacks as well a nice restaurant. Watton also has a very well equipped gymnasium and sports centre within jogging distance! A great base for exploring the many delights of Norfolk and East Anglia.
