We now live in Australia with two of our three adult children. My wife and I are both retired and are intent on spending most of our holidays in France, where we can enjoy sun, food and wine. We bought our new home in 2011 and plan to many spend happy family holidays there.

Why they chose this property

We love La Garde Freinet because it is an iconic French village only 30 mins drive from beautiful beaches, great golf courses and chic restaurants. The area is fantastic for walking and enjoying the countryside. There really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible with Nice only an hour and a quarter's drive away.

We are both Australian and miss the sun filled days of our youth. La Garde Freinet offers this and so much more.

What makes this property unique

The house is over 300 years old and is only a stroll from the centre of the village. The south facing sun terrace is exceptional and the remaining rooms are full of character with many charming features.
